And, honestly it's worth it. Definitely a big boy sandwich. So much that I needed a nap after. The cabot cheddar that they use is phenomenal and really ties the wrap together. The sunrise moon platter is also really good. It has all the breakfast essentials. The home fries are nice and tender. I could snack on them all day. Platter, as a whole, lacked some salt. I went with The Coffeehouse Brisket ($15.00), featuring their own coffee-marinated local brisket with pickled red onions, basil aioli, Swiss cheese, shredded carrots, and arugula on a baguette. The inside is adorable, and there's also a really nice outdoor seating area. They sell fun extras like stickers, t-shirts, and canned drinks, and the coffee menu has some unique specialty flavors. Solid cafe in Woodstock - very popular option for lunch. Mostly salads and sandwiches, some coffee and pastries as well. Kitchen is open until 3ish, can order online for take out. Large amount of seating inside upstairs and downstairs but may be difficult to find seating at peak hours. Parking is street - paid, best to walk from nearby hotel if possible. I got the peppermint cold brew (heavy on peppermint), grilled cheese and tomato soup, and a salad - all good. Cost about $50, somewhat overpriced but that is the norm for this area. An alternative suggestion for similar food at possibly cheaper prices would be to visit the Woodstock Farmers Market. We were visiting Woodstock for New England Falconry in July. We went to Mon Vert Cafe for breakfast. There were 5 of us. The line was very long and it took quite a while to order breakfast. If I only wanted a coffee, I would have gone elsewhere. I am Celiac, and they had options to accomodate me and I didn't get sick so that was great. We ate outside. They came out with the food when it was ready. Everyone enjoyed their breakfast. Overall, the food was excellent. It took quite a while for our breakfast to come out. Breakfast for 5 was about $125. They automatically add a tip for orders over $100. Overall, we enjoyed it, and the food was great. On a busy day though we might go somewhere else. You order at the counter & food is brought to you - there are signs on the tables that let you know it could be about 25 minutes for a sandwich, which does seem long - but totally worth the wait! Seating is limited BUT we didn't have a problem finding a table for our group of 8 (for both lunch and breakfast! It was that good, we went twice!) It's both a café and restaurant, and uses locally sourced organic ingredients, which I always support and appreciate. The atmosphere is relaxed and there are artworks on the wall by local artists. You order at the counter and pick up your food when the buzzer goes off. The seating layout is a bit awkward, but there are more tables upstairs and also outdoor patio seating. We managed to find a vacant table for 6 but the vibe is more of a café hang than a sit-down restaurant. Absolutely adored this spot during our visit to Woodstock! It was packed and had a line through the restaurant, but the wait was worth it. We got a few bakery items to hold our toddler over and snagged a seat inside easily and our food ended up coming out rather quickly. It was delicious! One of the best gf df breakfast sandwiches I've had. My husband also said his was really good. My only disappointment was my coffee, both days we went. It was too sweet and milky, even though I had gotten it lightly sweet. And the second day I am unsure if they used oatmilk or not. One of my favorite places between our home in New Hampshire's Lake Region and the Vermont ski areas. Since I ski over 70 days yearly, and I prefer the Woodstock Route 4, I'm usually passing by at least once a week during ski season. And quite often, I stop here for relaxation, a good breakfast and superb coffee. The business model is different from many other places. You order, get a magnetic tracker, put it on the table on a special device and an employee brings your food it to your table. If you have a specialty coffee, however, you can wait for it downstairs. Mont Vert does get busy - I mean really busy but the additional waiting time is well worth it considering the delightful food they serve. Their quesadillas, by the way, are absolutely awesome. Seating was limited and not at all family-friendly--something we probably should've expected given the overall tone of the place. Definitely not ideal if you've got kids or a larger group. The menu was underwhelming, especially if you're not into coffee, and the items we did try weren't worth the price. The bread stayed crunchy and crispy for my whole meal even with all the pesto layered on, chicken wasn't tough, cheese was stringy and hot--just perfection. Their apple cider is (for lack of better words) very apple-y and not overly sweet. They get BUSYYY though. Line out the door on a Friday afternoon that took a good minute to get through. I like how they add seasonal flavors to their menu- they like to spice things up like their pumpkin pastry- just wow, chefs kiss! Also kudos to them for thinking out of the box and giving the people what they want without even knowing it. Only reason this isnt a 5 star is because the damn line was up the stairs-- like ALL the way up the stairs. & eventually when i got up to order I realized that theyre not really working efficiently. I make this review only eating the bakery items and coffee, we did not eat the food there because the kitchen was closed. Service was OK. no one was overly nice for accommodating. It took a while to get the hot apple cider and they completely forgot about our two drip coffees until i had to go remind them. they're super busy there so it's hard to get anyone's attention. It's very busy in that area overall. they have very nice outdoor seating. They also have indoor seating. They may have an upstairs seating, but it was closed. They only had one restroom that was open downstairs with long lines and it was kind of dirty. The croissants were good. The Bakery items were low. The drip coffee was good, but nothing amazing. overall, for what we had in our experience, it was very average. Maybe even slightly below average, but we'll go at three stars. read more

This is a small cafe in the tiny enclave of Woodstock, Vermont...not the Woodstock, but charming nonetheless. When there are 5 people in front of you, the line is practically out the door. We ordered the brisket, the oink and cluck, and fries. +1 for the clever menu. Service was about as fast as it could be. The sandwiches are served on Dutch crunch, which is a whole lotta bread. I ended up taking the meat off and just eating it. The fries are home fries, more like hash, so it was interesting. I would drive from RI to VT weekly if that wasn't absurd to go to this cafe. The food is all locally sourced and absolutely delicious. The coffee is also incredible. I love to visit and try their seasonal drink specials and I honestly can say I haven't had anything I didn't like. The cafe is in the most adorable old house. You order everything at the register and you're given a buzzer to put at your table. The food is delivered to you, but you pick up your drink at the end of the bar. Woodstock Vermont is an idyllic Vermont small town. Colonial wood siding, brick and cobbles, plentiful crosswalks and a pedestrian friendly slow speed zone make this an inviting stop on any drive. We chose Mon Vert Cafe as a stopover point on our way to hike in the Whites. We had our hiking dog with us, and were pleased she was welcomed to their shady patio. She took a little siesta under a window box profusion of annuals while we dined on juicy freshly made sandwiches. For me, the Get Your Goat was juicy and well toasted, the bacon was crispier than I like it, so next time I'll know to ask for it softer. Likewise, I prefer a stronger sweet note from the balsamic reduction than came in my sandwich but as there are jellies and ketchups etc offered I was able to bring the tastes in alignment with my preference. The goat cheese was nicely pungent and the toast was crunchy and not soggy as still. The herbs in the pesto were bright and well balanced. Adam says his Caesar wrap was standard and enjoyable, he especially enjoyed the croutons inside. We both found the coleslaw to be well executed and plentiful. Coleslaw is often a miss for us, so this was a real win for the Mon Vert. Would confidently recommend. Value for dollar, we did wish the coleslaw wasn't a la carte but for $4 we can't quibble too strongly. read more
