We finally got to try the Lincoln Diner! Nice location and beautiful, historical train wagon restaurant that has moved towns and locations a few times throughout the years, and has now been in Lincoln since 2025. There weren't many people lined up, but we still ended up waiting about 30 min for a table. This seems to be caused by a lack of staff - we noticed tables weren't being cleaned up for a good 10-15 min after people left, and waitresses were rushing around. Honestly from what we observed - they could slash their waiting time by half by being more efficient and/or hiring busboys. But moving on. Food was definitely worth the wait! Boyfriend and I both had the "Cadillac" breakfast (because, well, our car) and we both loved it. He had pancakes with it and I had French toast - I *loved* the French toast. Delicious. Boyfriend also had a side of corned beef hash and I had a bite - it was my first time trying corned beef and I liked it a lot! He liked it too, and says he's usually picky with that dish, so... The wait staff are on point, friendly & super-attentive. I was impressed, they were busy with a full house yet 2 staff checked on me 4 times after food was delivered. Made me feel speshiul. Atmosphere was diner-cool, families galore were indulging and enjoying. The food was a mixed batch. Decent portions, poor presentation, mediocre taste, but beef quality & cook was good. An old neighbor called and said he was in Vermont heading back to Maine and wondered if we wanted to meet him for lunch. We ate back at the diner. There was a line of people and the hostess takes each group in order so our wait was about 15 minutes. The food remains diner material. My chowder was quite good and my tuna melt was good. Great atmosphere in an authentic 1950 diner that was moved here from other locations throughout its life and now ended up in Lincoln. The service from all staff is fantastic.. everyone was on it and attentive throughout. Food was great, the coffee too which could always be iffy at a diner. read more

The best part was being able to come here when the Common-Man resturant had a long wait. The only reason I won't be a returning customer is because there was a poster up behind the counter that advertised a drag show. Disgusting and not appropriate, especially at a family restaurant. The food was 10/10--from the friendly service to the excellent food. My family and I popped in here without doing any research beforehand. We didn't have high hopes, although the place is cute, clean, and conveniently located right off the road. But wow--this was probably the best meal I've had since we arrived in New Hampshire. My husband got the tuna melt with their house-made chips, I had the BLT with sweet potato fries, and the kids had a grilled cheese and the ranchy chicken wrap. My mother- and father-in-law ordered the pulled pork sandwiches with onion rings--and they were simply divine. Everything was hot, fresh, and full of flavor. And holy moly, was it all just amazing. My wife and I stopped in the Lincoln Diner the other night for an early dinner. We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. We were served in the dinner section of the restaurant which has the old 50's ambience of a classic diner. The menu is a mix of diner stables with breakfast served all day. I opted for the vegetarian omelette with cheddar cheese, cinnamon toast and baked beans plus a side of bacon crispy. My wife went with the turkey pot pie. My omelette was delicious and the bacon just right. The beans were amazing (we both loved them). However the pot pie was too dry. We did receive some gravy that helped it out. The good thing about the pie was the crust which was very tasty and flaky. So while the staff was super and my omelette very nice I can't quite give the dinner a top rating. Lincoln Diner has an old school diner feel though being attached to a more cabin building. There was a line early Saturday morning, but moved pretty quick. Once seated, service was a but slower. I tried their veggie omelet which was a good blend of veggies and well seasoned. Overall a good portion too. Would recommend! read more

We were sorely disappointed by our experience at Lincoln Diner. Despite the previously noted good reviews and our wish that the town of Lincoln would have another good eatery, we found that this new restaurant, Lincoln Diner, is just not ready for 'prime time' and it missed the mark in several areas. First, we were basically ignored at the hostess greeting stand. The restaurant did not appear to be busy at the time, and staff was visible and not scurrying around. Despite this, it took 10 minutes of waiting before being greeted by the hostess, without any prior acknowledgement of our wait. We were seated in the less than half-full restaurant and waited another10 minutes before our server, Jackson, came by. We placed our complete order and Jackson returned with two water glasses and said he would return right back with straws. Spoiler alert: the straws never came. Not that this was a big deal, but it points to the lack of attention to detail and to the level customer service. Second, we waited an inordinately long time for our food. It took 28 minutes from ordering to receive our order of Eggs Benedict and a Cobb salad. Again, the kitchen did not appear to be overwhelmed, and this was after any lunch time rush. The Cobb salad, ordered by my guest is described in the menu as having 'bleu cheese crumbles'. The salad we received did not have any bleu cheese crumbles. When we asked the server, he said, "Oh, you want bleu cheese crumbles with that?" The sever was pleasant and the atmosphere fine. The food was quite tasty. However, compared to service we have received at other Common Man Diners or just in general, the Lincoln Diner fell considerably far short of even our minimal expectations. The Diner serves breakfast all day. I was there at 4:00 and ordered eggs and bacon. Delicious. Eggs were perfectly cooked. Bacon was very tasty. Visited the Lincon Diner today. Atmosphere was good, wait staff was pleasant although there was only 3 waitstaff fir the entire place. They were pleasant and attentive. However our food was not very good. My husband ordered liver and onions. The liver was very dry, the onions were supposed to be caramelized and were on the raw side, the potatoes were lumpy and the chili appetizer was so thick the spoon literally stood up in it, but he said the taste was good. So I ordered a Reuben sandwich. It was not good at all. First it was salty because the meat had so much fat, I coukd hardly taste the sauce( I asked for more) and if there was saurkraut on it I couldn't taste it. It was awful. The fries were good however. So after we were done I was waiting for my husband and was observing the cook. He ha a baseball cap on, which is fine. However I watched him take his hat off, wearing the gloves he cooks with, adjusthis hat/haif( over the are he was cooking on, and put his hat back on with the gloves he uses to cook with. Absolutely delicious breakfast and lunch spot! We randomly stopped on our way through to Flume Gorge and it's been the best food we've had in NH all week! We were there this morning and less than impressed with the service. My order was wrong but no one came over to check and we couldn't get another cup of coffee or water to save our lives. It wasn't even that busy. Seems like she forgot about us and when we asked another server for our check she gave us an attitude. WOOOOOOOOW!!! Seriously, I went in here yesterday for breakfast with my wife and another couple. Expecting a good run of the mill breakfast (I mean arent they all pretty much the same), I was stunned at how awesome the food was!! I got SOS(Biscuits and gravy) and loved it. My wife had some sausage that I tried and my friends wife had some bacon I tried, again it was so delicious. My buddies wife also had a waffle and offered me a piece and again was blown away (Im not even a waffle/pancake guy). Coffee was great. The service was great from the servers (Regi I think and another gal, Lady named Julie was also checking in, think she was the manager and a guy server who was also on it, polite and knowledgeable). It was our first time at the Lincoln Diner, we want to give an outstanding review for the Hostess" Hot Mess" Laquisha, she had excellent customer service and always maintained a positive approachable manner. The food was very good and the ambiance just made the whole experience "come alive" when Jamie our waitress, signed the paper hat and I wore it out of the diner. She made sure everything was terrific for our first experience. Thank you to both Laquisha and Jamie for their great customer service and hard work.
