No trip to N Conway is complete unless we stop at Banners! Drove from Omni Mt Washington to Banners for my annual Monte Cristo and it did not disappoint. Loved the spices in the Bloody Mary. Really good. Hubby had a super light, fluffy, flavorful ham and cheese omelet-I snuck in a bite (yum!) and a beer. This is clearly one of the go-to breakfast spots in the area. It was super busy inside and there were multiple groups waiting outside at any point too. Maybe it was what I ordered, but the Belgian waffle with chocolate chips was not too exciting. The taste of waffle was delicious -- although that's pretty hard to mess up -- but the chocolate chips were strangely all in the center as opposed to either being baked in with the batter or spread out more evenly on top. I have been driving by this place for over 4 years now when I visit Conway every summer and there is always a line to get in. So the kids and I finally decided it was time to try it. We put our name in for the 25 minute wait. After the wait we were seated and asked for what drinks we wanted. I'm just going to review what I ate and tried. - Bloody Mary It was ok but overpriced and they use super small ice cubes so you don't get much and I swear there was no alcohol in it. - Side of Avocado Don't waste you time on a bland defrosted small half . 3 bucks too much - Eggs Benedict Soggy not toasted English muffins, the sauce was over lemony and the poached eggs were a little under cooked because the whites were runny. The side of home fries were very stingy also. -Overall If you want over priced food that they don't give you enough of then come here and enjoy. If you want the opposite of the please avoid this tourist trap. We haven't been to Banner's in a while & a quick stop for lunch proves why it is worth the trip to Conway NH. This little place nestled just off the road on the way to North Conway is decorated with some of the kewlest old neon signs & memorabilia from old, local camps. Even though we stopped by only 40min before closing, our meals were hot & delivered with a big smile in under 5min. My fish & chips were great, especially with their special tartar sauce. My wife's roast beef on a brioche roll looked great, & the two onion rings I pilfered from her plate were incredible! read more

On vacation in the area and we decided to come here for breakfast and I'm glad we did. My wife got pancake with bacon and eggs. She said the pancakes were really fluffy and very good. My son loved his eggs and toast which he decided to try all the jellies for each piece. He was happy. Banners really was an amazing experience. And this thanks to not only the food, but also to her waitress Shiloh who was one of the top waitresses I ever had (and I do eat out a lot living in NYC). The service was prompt and impeccable. Shiloh was always quick to respond to our many demands (we were a table of 9). The food was AMAZING. I had the Babe Benedict and it was delicious ! My teenage son had a burger and he said it was the best he'd ever had! My teenage daughter had the tuna melt being a pescatarian. Two in our group were vegetarian and they got the lentil soup and some salads. Everyone loved the food and the place. Comfy, bright, clean. We were really happy to having found this place on internet while staying in Fryeburg for a wedding that weekend. This place got great reviews and we could see why! They were very busy this morning and we were seated very quickly. My husband said the waffle was one of the best he has had. Stopped in for an impromptu lunch with my husband today and It did not disappoint. Parking was plenty, service was super friendly and super fast. We got a Monte Christo and a Ruben. Banners is the best breakfast restaurant that I dined in on my recent trip to New England. The restaurant is recently renovated and decorated very well. The restaurant is also immaculately clean. They even have an outdoor dining area that is beautifully enclosed by vines. I was very impressed with every aspect of this restaurant. I ordered the Kentucky Bennie, which is two poached eggs on biscuits smothered by the best sausage gravy that I have ever tasted. I wanted it again the next time I visited but they didn't offer a half order which is the right amount for me. The owner should consider offering a half order for $9.99, it would sell. When you look up the best breakfast places near Conway, this is sure to come up. Hence, we decided to go here for a heavy breakfast that would give us sufficient energy for the packed day of sightseeing. Like most popular places, it is busy on Sundays (especially in the peak season), and the waiting time is around an hour. But once seated, the service is super quick and delightful. Surprisingly, it is not very noisy because of diner-like cubicles with views of colored trees. There is, however, a queue at the restrooms, so avoid if you are in a rush. The Monte Cristo sandwich I ordered was melt in the mouth! It was incredibly delicious with the fresh raspberry jelly- leftovers of which I took home and enjoyed later. Went for early breakfast, got the kielbasa n eggs, came with home fries n toast, my husband got eggs with sausage and apple spice pancakes(special), the apple spice pancakes tasted like pumpkin spice. The home fries I got tasted little extra salty, the place is wheelchair accessible and they have nice bathrooms and there is option to sit outside too. The fresh orange juice seemed very popular as well, although i didn't find it sweet compared to when i squeeze oranges myself at home. I do not like to leave bad reviews for small businesses. However, my family drove 30 mins out of our way on the last day of our vacation and were disappointed to find that this restaurant was closed. There was no warning on their website or Facebook page. We were looking forward to trying Banners but instead were left adding an unnecessary hour to our trip home. If the owners or manager see this review, please consider updating your hours if there is a change from the hours posted on your website. While I'm sure they had a very valid reason for closing, I would hesitate to try this place again even though the food looks delicious. read more

The food was very good. I've been twice recently. We used to go there years ago when camping. The first time recently I was with my granddaughter she had pancakes and they were light and delicious, she actually ate almost all of them and that's a compliment since she eats almost nothing. I had an omelette and it was very good also. The waitstaff was very friendly and very kind to a little girl who couldn't decide immediately what she wanted to The next time I went was on a very busy weekend day. I waited to be seated as expected but when seated I waited another 10 minutes for someone to even acknowledge my presence. The waitress was extremely on edge and unable to keep up. Not in a rush I just quietly waited. The people next to me got their meal and proceeded to eat very slowly. I got mine and the food was eggs Benedict and it was good. I wanted bacon but didn't dare ask, and was never offered a drink refill or more water. Just handed the bill. The guy next to me was still picking at his plate and turned to say something to someone when she picked up his unfinished plate and took it away. He looked at her and said he was still eating so she brought him back another pancake for the one he was still eating. I will go back but it won't be at a busy time. read more
