It's part of the Grocer that was amazing. So it's all connected on the inside. We had no problem parking and walking in to get some food. I got an egg sandwich on sourdough, and it was delicious. Simple comfort food. We also enjoyed a london fog that was great. We sat in a window tabletop, and you can really appreciate how sincere the employees are and how kind they were to one another behind the line. The service was all with a smile and we also tried some chocolate treats, but they were not very sweet. All in all I would definitely go back here for food. They were just so nice. We had a wonderful meal on the Saturday night of Labor Day. The excellent service began when I left a voicemail on Saturday around 5:15 checking to see if our party of 3 could come at 6:30. I got a call back right away confirming. We sat outside on their deck - it's on the side of the building, so looks out over a meadow of flowers and trees and the edges - very pretty. I started with a Yuzu Spritzer - Prosecco, yuzu puree and flower bitters. It was really good and different than anything I've had before. Son had the GS Schwitzel Mocktail. Look it up - it beautiful and delicious. We started with a charcuterie board that had cheeses, meats, pickled items and smoked trout. Perfect for a meat eater and pescatarian to share. Teen son got the caesar salad and like it. I had the Gulf of Maine Bluefish. I've never had that before. It came with skin on and upon a bed of creole beans and collard greens. I ate every bite. Soooo flavorful. Hubby got the beet "ravioli". It's a vegan dish with a cashew "cheese" filling. He liked it very much....his only comment was that he wouldn't have eaten as many of the pickled items on the charcuterie plate had he known the "ravioli" beets would be slightly pickled. His tongue was hurting LOL. But he did love it. Teen boy got the tri tip and loved it. For dessert, we like to just look at the menu. But we got sucked in, because....lavender creme brulee!! And a trio of ice creams that included ube (a japanese purple yam) and another that had chicory. They were all sooo good. Service was excellent, except dessert took the absolute longest amount of time - with no explanation. We kept thinking maybe they were making the creme brulee from absolute scratch...but it would have been great to tell us. We literally received our full meals in a much shorter amount of time than our desserts. Listen - that's just a hiccup. It's of no matter. Just go here. I promise you will love it! read more

Not really sure what to say .. food was delicious when we finally got it but service and organization was a mess. I am assuming it was a bad day . No one greeted us at the door the people in front of us appeared to have been waiting awhile and finally just went to the bar. A long wait time for service and it was not crowded at all. The waitress was very nice but the 2 of them did not seem able to hold up the work of 5 tables. The man at the next table had waited 1//2hr for a beer and a mock tail when he finally got someone's attention they brought the beer but said they did not have ingredients for his mock tail, he was there with 2 very patient Childern who appeared very disappointed. We ordered the falafel salad which was fresh and delicious but only had 2 small falafel which was not nearly enough. The lemon tahini dressing was perfect. Also got the beet coleslaw which was very good. Ice tea was very flavorful, we were asked if we wanted refill which we did but she did not mention they were not free refills until asked. We finished eating the man at the other table still had no food. He asked for his check he did not want to wait anymore he had been there well before us . Someone came out of the kitchen and rather than comp his meal or bring him chips or anything, they tried to justify why it took so long and said it was almost done . He said he just wanted his check they did not offer to buy his beer and did not bring the check he waited so some more and than went to the bar to try and pay, no one could find where his check was so they just let him leave with 2 hungry children. I am sure he is never going back and also spreading the news.. obviously need some work on front of the house like letting people know if kitchen is backed up or giving out a complementary drink or something. Every time I come to New Hampshire, stopping here is a non negotiable because I can be comforted in knowing the quality of food is high and well sourced. On this trip, my respect and appreciation grew for this location, exponentially. This week, I was brought to NH by my sister on a birthday trip, while having just had oral surgery. I had premade puréed meals for myself, knowing it would be difficult for any establishment to accommodate my needs this weekend. In fact, we asked five different establishments if they would be able to purée food so we could enjoy food out, and were told no. When I arrived at Table and Tonic this morning, on our way back home to RI, I had only intended on ordering a coffee and a smoothie because of my recent surgery. When I told the server that I just had oral surgery, trying to avoid straws and what not, she offered to puree any food I wanted, without me even asking. Not only did they make this accommodation, but they made me feel so warmly welcomed, despite the circumstance. Thank you, Table and Tonic, your kindness and willingess to think outside the box to accommodate unique needs went a long way in making this vacation so wonderful! read more

This restaurant is open to The Local Grocer next door and has the same breakfast and lunch menu as the cafe takeout place. There was no air conditioning in the restaurant and on a humid 90 + degree day, a bunch of the windows were open and it was hot inside. At least it was shaded under a roof... There was one server waiting on and seating the entire restaurant for lunch on a weekday when we first arrived. After we were seated, it took at least 20 minutes to get acknowledged to even try to order. There were maybe 2 or 3 other tables around us. The table next to us was seated at least 10 minutes later and got their order taken first. When the waitress finally came around to take our orders, she thanked us for our patience. We ordered a smoothie, iced tea, the red curry chicken salad, a hummus wrap with cheddar, and a grilled cheese on whole wheat bread. It took us another 15 minutes to get the drinks. We then waited almost an hour since we arrived to finally get our salad and 2 sandwiches, not exactly complex dishes. When the lunches arrived, our two year old's grilled cheese had to be sent back. The waitress explained that whole wheat bread and whole wheat wrap were right next to each other and she selected the wrong one! She asks if our 2 year old son be ok with a grilled cheese wrap? Let's see..he's 2 and picky like any other toddler, so no. My husband was so hungry that he ate most of his hummus wrap before realizing it did not have cheddar, which was specifically discussed. We were almost finished with a our meals before our son's arrived. I had resorted to feeding him granola by this point because he was getting hangry. Then we proceeded to have to wait another 20 minutes for him to finish his lunch since it arrived so late. At least our waitress was extremely apologetic and tried to offer explanation of how they have been short on help. "There was a huge rush...." Ok, but most of those people arrived after we did. "We are all just trying to survive!" That much was clear. The red curry chicken salad was tasty but not Earth shattering. It came with basic mixed greens, tomatoes, and some pickled onions. The lemon tahini dressing made it. The hummus wrap was very average. There was a minor service recovery attempt to discount our bill, but we will never be back. I saw that the people ordering cafe meals to go next door ordered off the same exact menu! Save yourself the atrocious wait and service and just order takeout here. With promise of farm to table freshness and the great yelp reviews I walked into this restaurant with very high expectations. I went with a party of six girlfriends for a bachelorette dinner. When greeted we were sat immediately with a reservation and our waiter promptly filled our water glasses. That's about where this night took a turn for the worse. We all ordered some drinks. I asked for a mock tail but with gin added, I was promptly met with a disgruntled look, and a "that wouldn't taste good, I wouldn't get that". I'm all for recommendations, but this came off as borderline rude, and unhelpful. What I received was basically just Gin in a glass with no accompanying flavors, just a bland, strong unbalanced drink. Next when it came to ordering our food, we placed an order for a scallop dish, a chicken dish, a steak and three orders of duck. When my friends asked about substitutes on the menu they were met with "the chef won't do that, he's gonna get mad" again while I agree that some dishes should come as presented because they are curated to give you the best flavor experience I do believe that this could have been handled a little better. Our apps came out and they were delicious. The bread is divine. After about twenty minutes the server came over to us and said "we'll actually I have bad news we ran out of duck". Again I understand that restaurants run out of food, especially in farm to table dining where the restaurant gets limited quantities, but to be told this twenty minutes after ordering is just simply unacceptable. When my friend ordered a replacement meal, she was actually told she was going to be up charged for a substitute she made, but like while I agree this sometimes makes sense, you literally didn't have what she originally ordered. This didn't make sense to me. The food comes out and let me tell you the chicken was borderline orgasmic, but the lumped wilted greens on the plate just seemed sloppy and unnecessary. My friends scallops looked fantastic. After the duck debocle my other friend ordered the steak. For $33 dollars she was given a mostly grisly, fatty piece of steak, definitely not the beautiful angus that was promised. When the check arrived we asked to split it six ways, the server literally laughed at us, as if this was a borderline insane request. Overall the impression we got from our waiter was no good. Instead of being helpful and nice he seemed haphazardly and annoyed. I would say this restaurant is inconsistent, the drinks are terrible, the food has highs and lows but the service was atrocious. For the price tag and the promise of fresh farm to table it was slightly disappointing to leave unsatisfied. read more

I didn't know "bad toast" was a thing. Eating buttered cardboard would have been more appetizing. The bacon slices were thinner than paper. I would not classify it to be quality bacon. Do not come if you have kids as meltdowns are bound to happen. Do not come if youp're hungry as you will only leave hangry. This place is $$$ and the advertisement for quality food is false. First of all we were greeted by owner who seated us and took the time to explain how they grow most of their own produce as well as being a herbologist. They create their own special drinks as well as meals. We started off with a vegan Caesar salad and homemade sangria. Both were amazing! Both our meals were incredible and flavorful and the service was excellent. The best scallops and chicken we've ever had!! Everything was fresh and flavorful!! Also the atmosphere was rustic elegant. Our waitress Breezy (on our first visit) took great care of us AND our dog Ruby, bringing her iced water on a hot day :). The food is authentically fresh, healthy and trendy as the restaurant is part of a bigger eco system which includes an organic market, herb and tincture store as well as a yoga studio. This was one of the best meals I've had in some time, and definitely better than anything I've eaten in my home turf of Boston! Came in here on a Sunday after a weekend of outdoor adventure. The decor is cute and rustic, and our waitress Abby was very pleasant and attentive. I got the soup of the day (Moroccan Carrot), and for the entree I got the roast duck with lobster quinoa and wilted greens. Everything was amazing - the duck was cooked perfectly, the lobster quinoa had huge chunks of lobster and was delicious. The atmosphere is so cute, with little details like eclectic, mismatched cloth napkins, tiny flower vases, and a beautiful antique style bar. This place is so cozy that we actually left another restaurant that wasn't feeling as welcoming just after being seated to come out for dinner again here. The staff seem genuinely happy to see you when you walk through the door, as opposed to another table to seat and feed; they answer questions about the menu and wine list patiently; and just have a general gallantry about them. Much appreciated! All the dishes are creative, flavorful, and skillfully cooked, but occasionally feel a little small if your appetite is particularly high. This can easily be remedied with an addition of one of the sides, which range from mashed potatoes (filling) to carrots to greens (lighter). And I'm sure if you asked they would accommodate! Atmosphere was pleasant and warm, the staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and the service was prompt. Most importantly, the food was creative and delicious. I got a steak with tempura scallions and horseradish mashed potatoes, which was a fun take on the normal "steak and potatoes" of other places. They did a great job with converting to take out in the post COVID-19 era, they have a great patio area to the side of the building which is very clean and charming and not well known yet, so for the time being nice and empty and peaceful.
