A few well-spaced tables inside plus plenty of outdoor seating with sun and shade options (dog friendly, dog treats free at the counter!), and all Italian pastries made in-house. The almond tiramisu was a standout--light and just a touch of sweetness, it took a lot of self control not to go back for another round and try the other tiramisu. They also had a fantastic looking gelato selection that I wish I sampled, and a wide selection of sandwiches. This was a quick post-lunch stop for us but next time I'm in the area I'll be trying a sandwich, having more tiramisu for dessert, and getting a gelato cone to go for walking in the park across the street! read more

We accidentally stumbled across this little gem in North Conway and enjoyed it so much that we're back for visit #2 the next day. The owner and her staff are super friendly and the food/drinks are authentic Italian cuisine. I highly recommend stopping in. We tried many different items out of the pastry display and practically licked the plates with all of them. If you like chocolate, I recommend the chocolate croissant warmed. Stumbled upon this little spot and it is a gem. Lovely owner and staff! Clean and welcoming. The almond joy iced latte was divine! The yogurt parfait had fresh fruit and granola. So yummy! The egg sandwich in a bagel was good but my husband is convinced they weren't fresh eggs, which is why I went down a star. The strawberry banana smoothies were so tasty and my kids loved it. I highly recommend that you stop in. Indoor and outdoor seating and just a cute little spot to enjoy breakfast or lunch. read more

Oh man, where to start? This place was absolutely amazing. The outside is very understated, would be easy to pass by as you go along the main strip downtown. The owner, Lory, was the one working when we visited both times - such a sweet person and easy to talk with. She is extremely hard working and that shows in the food she crafts. I highly recommend the chocolate hazelnut croissant and the sfogliatelle. The sfogliatelle was perfectly done with flaky layers on the outside and dense/moist delicious almond filling. The bagel sandwiches were great as well, especially the bagel and lox. 100% the best breakfast place in town as well as best bakery during our stay here, but honestly this is my favorite bakery I've ever been to, period. I've visited Venice, Rome, Monterosso, Capri, and Florence, and the pastries at this cafe were better than the ones I had there. The owner is Italian so this place is authentic. I truly wish we had something this good in Ann Arbor. read more

Cute little cafe in the middle of North Conway. Very friendly staff who are clearly from Italy. Really great sandwiches, my wife said it was the "best chicken Caesar wrap she ever had". Stumbled into this authentic Italian cafe for breakfast one morning before our train ride (conveniently across the street). Everyone here was so friendly - the entire family and staff answered all our questions and were very attentive. It was also kind of fun to hear them talking in Italian in the back kitchen :) We only tried some basic breakfast items (bagel and a breakfast sandwich) but I'd be back in a heartbeat to try a pastry or fancy coffee. We did have 2 black coffees which came in the BIGGEST mugs I've ever seen for a café which was much appreciated by me and my fiancé. We're so glad we found this place - it was cozy and quiet on a Saturday morning which is hard to find in North Conway. Every other breakfast spot we passed had lines out the door and Cafe Italia is just as good if not better! Highly recommend!! read more

This place has a nice patio that is dog friendly. They have a communal water bowl and also gave our two pups free puppuccinos! Wifey and I really enjoyed their caramel latte's as the coffee had a nice strong flavor compared to other places. The establishment was cute with a few tables inside and several tables outside. Not very busy.... Red flag. We ordered 2 paninis . Turkey bacon with pesto and avocado ,gluten free chibata. Bread not grilled/ toasted, no pesto, that I could taste. Bacon not crispy. And the turkey was something you would get out of a package, definitely not deli quality. So we were puzzled by this place. The dessert menu looked amazing even though less was available up front so late in the season. But we wanted an Italian lunch so we checked it out. The coffee was excellent as expected from the pleasant Italian owners. However, the menu consists only of bagel or english muffin breakfast sandwiches and panini, the latter of which with mosly American fillings except for one caprese. Does the caprese sandwich make this an Italian lunch place? So we got two of the few salads (oddly no caprese salad), a spinach (decent, but bland) and cobb salad (sad with scrambled egg bits, occasional chunks chicken, a tiny sprinkle of likely canned granular parmesan cheese, and lousy bottled italian dressing) for well over $20 total. Also got a grilled cheese sandwich with seriously orange processed cheese. No salumi, no antipasto, no Italian cheese selection. And most importantly, no scrumptious Italian bread. Niente. We left unsatisfied. read more

The food was absolutely amazing!! I got the Turkey Panini on gluten free bread and my boyfriend had the caprese sandwich. We got 2 iced coffees as well. Our sandwiches were perfectly assembled, great portions, the coffee was perfect, and the staff/owners were so friendly. I'll absolutely be coming back!! The bakery case looked amazing so we gave the lunch sandwiches a try. The BLT was average at best - the bread was good but the bacon wasn't very crisp and the tomatoes were bland. The Italian panini was also average - salami, cheese & tomatoes. A very small handful of chips on each plate. Not what we expected for $40 including 2 bottled teas. We ate it because we just arrived in town and we were hungry! Maybe we'll come back to try something out of the beautiful pastry case.
