What a great breakfast place in beautiful Glen, NH. It may be on the smaller side but the breakfast dishes are huge! The staff are right on point and cater to your every need. I got the most delicious sausage, biscuits, and gravy. The gravy was both sweet & salty. It was so savory. We got a side of homemade corned beef hash and a side of homemade sausage. Both were decadent. This is a must try if you're planning a ski trip or just a getaway to Glen, NH. Minutes away from North Conway and shops. Plenty of parking, handicap accessible and outside seating during the warmer months.

Went for breakfast at The Sunrise Shack up in Glen, NH and I can tell you this random stop off White Mountain Highway is one that if you blink you'd miss! We walked in and were told we could pick our seats! Delightful!! Fills up fast but was empty when we arrived early morning!! The menu is under the plastic table protection and that's GENIUS!! Love this ease for all and cleanliness option! The hardest part was choosing one thing, as always that's my issue!! I love the bowls, they are the perfect amount of food (I rarely if ever finish a plate, my son teases me about my eyes bigger than my stomach but no apologies!) there's not much left over when I'm done!! On my plate is the carnie with rye toast. Opposite me was the Biscuits and gravy which was delightfully maple-fied. We had lunch plans already but the options for morning or afternoon are deliciously satisfying!! Great clean space, friendly service and just really fresh wonderful food. Service was INSANELY FAST! We blinked and it was ready!! So that absolutely blew me away! Can't wait to return!! What do you get when you visit??

This place was so good!! Oh my gosh! My parents tried to gaslight me when we arrived, saying "I think we've eaten here before and we did not like it!" But oh-ho! I never forget a meal and this place was as unfamiliar to me as the touch of one's true love. You arrive, you park in their lot, you check in at a window (of course! So New Hampshire core) and get a buzzer - because this place is popping! After ten minutes we were buzzed and seated. So many of their savory breakfast items sounded so good, it was tough to decide. I went with the Takin' It to the Street breakfast sandwich. It was so good!! They also offer these delicious-sounding breakfast bowls, and some of my family ordered these and said they were great. We contemplated coming back another day on our trip but we never got around to it unfortunately. I will be back on my next visit to the White Mountains however. It's a bit crowded, they have sound-proofing on the ceiling to keep the noise level down, but honestly it all creates a cozy hole-in-the-wall delicious breakfast experience that is worth your time. At the conclusion of our meal, my parents retracted their statement and conceded that they probably arrived at the restaurant and left after seeing the wait - the food was so delicious that they realized that could not have been the problem!

Wait wasn't bad in Oct at peak season for foliage. Food wait was long for breakfast. Food was good. Breakfast bowl my husband had may have been better than my Californian. Tomatoes and spinach were raw. Avocados were almost over ripe.

Great service, biscuits and gravy surprisingly light. In other words, you don't get up from the table with a bowling ball in your gut LOL.

This place is a gem! I stopped by early with my mom, husband, and baby. I can't remember what my mom or husband ordered, but I got the Shack Toast - sweet cannoli cream stuffed French toast with raspberry sauce. Hands down, one of the best French toast I've ever had! That filling was everything, and I LOVED the raspberry sauce. I'll be ordering the same breakfast during my next White Mountains vacation!

Really nice breakfast here and excellent 10/10 service. We were originally bummed that we may not get a table, since there were SO many cars in the lot and plenty of people waiting outside as well as in their cars. Thankfully, the wait was very short and maybe just 10-15 minutes or so. We were helped immediately and the 10 min wait allowed us to pick out our food so we ordered when we sat down. We were pleasantly delighted to see they offer milk alternatives such as oat milk. The food came out in maybe only 5-10 minutes more, hot and fresh and exactly as we ordered it. The eggs were full of flavor and nothing seemed greasy or overcooked. Serving size is normal; no skimping on portions but also not anything massive either. The ambiance of The Sunrise Shack is clean, tidy, and minimal yet has an inviting, warm, cabin-like atmosphere. The menu is underneath a plate of glass/plexi on the table which makes things seem easy. The menu feels expansive with a plethora of choices, yet simple and minimal, if that makes sense. While we were eating we watched the 2 servers quickly help other patrons. All the other tables were getting their orders taken quickly and then getting food extremely promptly. We were helped very quickly and as soon as we finished we were offered the check. They really know how to run a breakfast here, and do it quite well. Do not be afraid of a wait here because things move quickly. Overall we really enjoyed our breakfast here and it was exactly what we wanted - something quick and easy, healthy and tasty, and no frills.

Loved the vibe - warm, welcoming and a bit retro. Service was spot on from the moment we walked in, until we paid the bill. Menu is extremely robust with a ton of different options. The shack toast is a must, not too sweet but full of flavor. The huevos rancheros bowl was served in this metal bowl which was a bit hard to eat out of. The potatoes at the bottom of the bowl could have used another few minutes on the grill for some extra crisp, but the overall favor and punch the jalapeños packed was great. Looking forward to coming back and trying one of their breakfast sandwhich the next time we're in town.

Great breakfast spot! Many options to choose from, ajwats busy so you may have to wait a bit but it's worth it. Pancakes were especially great ! Also prices are on point so it's definitely a place I'd love to return to soon and recommend if you are in the neighborhood. If you aren't , it's worth a drive !

Plus chairs, stools, tables, leather chairs (in which I sit), views of mountains and perhaps a throne or two. But, it must be said, that iced coffee was a FREE REFILL (which they do for hot and iced coffees) for a different drink, and that different drink was a chocolate-hazelnut iced coffee, which was not what I expected, i.e. a 5 calorie iced coffee, but instead a syrupy, heavily flavored dessert drink with which I broke my fast far harder than I had meant to. Had I known this drink was not seasoned beans turnt to a delectable cup, I might have passed on it, and had I not felt the desire to rejoin my company, I would have asked for the heaviest of heavy creams to make it a straight milk shake, but I drank it as was and enjoyed it every sip. The flavor was good to great, the texture more than I wanted but curious as a Campbell I couldn't just get the nitro-brew I craved because there was a hazelnut-coffee concoction I had never had heard of let alone tried and probably, along with the refill has more get up and go than the nitro solo. But I been here for hours now and don't feel like leaving yet, and that the baristae refilled my cup with coffee whilst allowing me to avoid the line (which isn't cutting. Justification: The line is only for people who still need to pay) really bumps that service up to magnificent. I love it here so much that I am almost remiss to go back to all four generations of my family who have gathered locally.

Bring your appetite!! This place has just about everything and the kitchen sink for breakfast options. While I did notice they do not serve hash browns or baked beans this place is amazing. We came first thing after they opened on Friday morning of Memorial Day weekend, these guys completely crushed the breakfast experience. Honestly our food was at the table not 3-4 minutes after we ordered it. We enjoyed the French Vanilla Coffee the flavor of the day, a side of homemade corn beef hash, breakfast burrito and Eggs Benedict Crepes. I personally loved the homemade hash and breakfast burrito complete with refried beans in addition to the sautéed peppers, onions, scrambled eggs, cheddar cheese and I added sausage. The Eggs Benedict crêpes featured, scrambled eggs, ham and cheese topped with a generous portion of hollandaise in thin crêpes. Perfectly cooked crepes. My wife felt the hollandaise was very tasty.

Which she had to put us on hold as she forgot her ordering pad. No biggie. We both ordered an avalanche meal and ordered side home fries. Then comes out with food. No coffee. No home fries. We wait for her to come back ask for them both she goes snd gets them. If it's part of meal why wouldn't be on plate but I didn't want to argue with her about her menu. The table next to us had coffee with fresh cream our late coffee we were only offered the mini plastic cups repackaged ones. Ok still trucking. Home fries come out super bright orange looking super seasoned and literally only tasted like gardening soil. Dirty potatoes cut and mashed up with paprika and put in a cup. Literal DIRT taste. Ok now I need to wash this down I had to ask her for a refill on my toddler water. She brings me another cup out this time no ice. I don't know if I've ever gotten a drink at a restaurant given with no ice after coming out with it or not requested. I don't know if she was distracted or checked out but again I don't say anything. Then the check comes. The bill is written on paper old school style so can't understand anything and it is about $10 more than should have been. Why did she charge us for the two home fries that she said were included!?!? I don't want bad energy or ruin day going back and forth with this lady just swipe my card and get away from this place. Why is there then an added upcharge for paying with card that was never listed or told prior to swiping!?!? I don't know why this place always has a line or is so busy. I wish I got her name but of course she never gave it! What an embarrassing experience. I've never not wanted to leave a tip before ever but I wanted to today (and I didn't). Original review from 2023: I went here due to the constant long lines and the rave reviews but was honestly disappointed. It is basic breakfast food. Maybe there is nothing else like it in the area but it just didn't match up to the ratings. Especially for the price!
