My husband and I stopped here for a quick, late breakfast. The menu offered plenty of good choices for breakfast sandwiches and bagels. This particular morning I was craving something a little sweet, so I went with the Oatmeal Maple Brown Sugar Bagel with Honey Walnut Cream Cheese. The bagel was delicious - lightly toasted on the outside, fluffy inside and not overly sweet. The cream cheese was equally delicious - not too sweet and lots of crunchy walnuts. The lady at the register was also super friendly. I wanted to come back for another bagel the following day, but we just missed closing time. After working a night shift and immediately driving 3 hours to North Conway, we were absolutely fucking famished and needed a good meal STAT. Fortunately, Bagels Plus offers online ordering and pick up within a reasonable time frame. They also require masks to enter the place which I personally appreciate. I ordered a MOATS bagel with avocado, hummus, lettuce, red onion, red peppers, sprouts, sunflower seeds, carrots, and spinach. The ordering is kind of weird, after selecting your sandwich they give you the option of selecting veggies. Is this in addition to or instead? I assumed they meant instead so I selected everything except the sprouts or onions but received everything minus the sprouts. I hate onions so had to manually remove these and fortunately this was easy to do but I would have preferred had they not been there in the first place. GF ordered a "wildcat" which comes with lox, cream cheese, tomato, and onion and selected to add lettuce. She loved hers. The staff were very friendly upon our arrival, more so than is standard and was appreciated. read more

First time visiting the area and first time trying out this bagels plus. We walked in, the place smelled amazing, and it appeared to be a very promising breakfast place for "to go" sandwiches and bagel. We proceeded to order four different sandwiches off the menu to go. It took a while, but no biggie we were on vacation time. When our name was called for the order the cook grabbed our bag and slammed it on the counter. This seemed unnecessary, but didn't mind much and off we went. Come to find out we were short a sandwich. When I went back in to bring it to their attention the young lady at the counter asked me if something was wrong, she was very kind, and I simply mentioned I am missing a sandwich, no big deal. She said she was going to take care of it. While this occurred an older lady, that I'm assuming is the manager, came storming over and asking me what the problem was. When I mentioned there was a mistake with my order and that I was missing a sandwich she looked at the receipt and sternly replied "what sandwich was wrong". I replied with "the Mexican breakfast sandwich on a wrap". She then proceeded to tell me according to the receipt it was rung up properly and I confirmed that yes I realize it was rung up properly, but that's not the issue and before I could say this sandwich was just simply missing she raised her tone and proceeded to ask me " well what's the problem then!!" I replied with "well the problem is I don't have this sandwich". They agreed to make the missing sandwich and during this process there was nothing but attitude from this lady and the cook. After receiving the missing sandwich, it was not even what I had ordered, multiple items were missing from the sandwich. It was thrown together and not even wrapped properly. Other customers waiting for their food were also quite turned off from this workers attitude and how the situation was handled. When eating the other 3 sandwiches in the order 2/3 were also not made correctly. Multiple missing items from each. I would not recommend this place whatsoever. read more

I asked and they said yes, it is hand made. THE BOTTOM LIINE IS IF YOU GO THERE YOU SHOULD ASK WHAT IT COST. I remembered being there a while back and saying I would not go back again. They offer several kinds of bagels including pumpernickel, sesame, veggie alfredo, spinach garlic, raisin, asiago cheese, and more. They also offer 13 varieties of cream cheese, plus breakfast sandwiches & burritos, lunch sandwiches, baked goods, chips, New England Coffee smoothies, and cold drinks. The prices for bagels (in 2009) were $4.70 for 6 and $9.40 for 12. Breakfast sandwiches served all day are $2.29-$3.59. The coffee is self serve including the iced coffee, they give you a cup of ice and you serve yourself. However, a large iced coffee is a bit pricey, $3.50 plus tax, but pretty refreshing especially on a hot day and the place has seating in air conditioned comfort. Like any carb loving celiac, I'm always a bit wary of gluten free bagels- they seem to be the hardest food to find that can be on par with their glutinous cousins. I wasn't expecting much from Bagels Plus- and I've never been so happy to be wrong! Their gluten free bagels are the perfect "crispy on the outside, warm and soft on the inside" type. Lookswise, they're not as pretty and puffy as the "normal" bagels (which are also incredible, according to my non celiac boyfriend), but tastewise, they're AMAZING- my boyfriend took a bite and was blown away too. We've come twice this weekend because I couldn't stop talking about the bagel. If you want to play it super safe, you may want to order the night before, since there's a risk of them running out later in the day. The staff is incredibly kind and proactively take every precaution to avoid cross contamination, and the ambiance is lovely- my favorite part is the checkers board with bagels as checkers pieces. Props to Bagels Plus for having 3 different whole wheat bagels. I ended up getting sesame whole wheat and it was very nice. We got a salmon on a rye and it was also very tasty with plenty of cream cheese. Service was friendly and the line went very fast despite being lunch time. I was tempted to break my diet and try their maple oatmeal bagel when I saw it listed on the website but it was sold out so no chance to be bad this trip. read more
