Great breakfast! If you don't know, you place your order at the counter, go grab a seat, and someone brings your order to your table when it's ready. Well, there was a very, very long line to place our order. It took an inordinate amount of time... 'twas a very slow moving line. Turns out they were shorthanded this morning. The barista was taking orders, making coffees, delivering orders, and who knows what else. She was phenomenal...like a one man show up there! Even with all that going on, our food still came out quickly. Now, the not so great ...an ice tea was over 5 bucks after tax. It was maybe a 12 ounce cup. It was very good, as it should be for that price. However, I went to the counter and asked for a refill. "That will be $5.27, please". Excuse me? Say what? You're charging 5 bucks for an ice tea and you can't even get a "free" refill? That's ridiculous. Needless to say, I didn't get a refill. I had water instead. Lovely cafe, we walked in and were greeted by a very sweet barista. She gave us menus and we ordered with her as well. They don't have a wait staff. But when it's not busy, they do bus and bring out food. There were so many food options. I got an omelet with apples and cheddar cheese. We also split a white mocha. All delicious. Nothing over the top, just good old fashioned breakfast. Felt like I was at a bed and breakfast. The coffee was delicious and there was Biblical scripture everywhere. I loved this. I went in with my family to get EGGS AND TOAST. my entire family need a little snack on our road trip. The menu they handed us had prices that 2 dollars cheaper than what they were ringing us up as AND they were ringing up the eggs and toast separately, making us pay more. I.e What we order: egg and toast - 4.99$ (what it said on the physical menu) What they rang up: egg - 2.99$ toast- 2.99 Not to mention they previously rang it up as 6.99$. Menu prices should reflect the price you pay, no? Then when I ordered my coffee iced they charged me a whole extra dollar for an iced coffee. And they justified it by saying it's the ice cube... absolutely ridiculous. Then the lady inside had the audacity to ask us where we are from. And when we answered she said "oh okay." I would like to know why that matters at all? Is it a normal typical thing for menu prices to not match the price they want you to pay? Is it normal to pay A DOLLAR extra for ice? I doubt it. The people who were working were kind, they were nice. But their POS system is a mess and the unnecessary comments were offensive. So first off, if this was in a more metropolitan area it would be three stars. However it is in the White Mountains and there are far less shops so it is four stars. Was it great? No, no it wasn't. This is a quaint and well run cafe. The ladies are nice and welcoming answering all questions about their food. We had the Valley omlette and it was delish.... filled with cheese, bacon, ham, onions, pepper and tomatoes. The eggs were sooooo fluffy. Yummmm. We love this restaurant, for the service, the staff, the ownership and the overall honest vibe of the restaurant. They serve both breakfast and lunch, all year round. They have indoor and outdoor seating as well. Have not been disappointed with any food or drink we have ordered. We have a larger family, seven in total. In addition to breakfast and lunch foods, they have an expansive coffee and espresso menu, including macchiatos, americanos, cappuccinos and espresso. All hot or over ice. They have different syrup and sauces flavors. They also offer milk alternatives including but not limited to oat milk, almond milk and soy milk. They also serve various flavored smoothies. Our favorites are mango, strawberry banana and piña colada. Staff and owner are very conscientious to allergies and accommodating when need be. Whether it be as simple as egg whites only, or to use oat or almond milk in a hot chocolate or so everyone can have milk. We have been eating at this restaurant for years now. We have seen a lot of staff and training over the years and it is wonderful to see the care and the patience the owner has towards her staff and customers alike. There have been times when they are short staffed but it doesn't matter because of how they all respond and respect the needs of the customers. We were visiting the area and stopped here for breakfast. Such a nice place to sit and have a cozy meal. We went in and were directed to go to the cashier where we ordered and paid for our meal. Then we sat down and our meal was promptly brought to us. Service was excellent. Mike got pumpkin bread French toast and it was so good and a side of eggs and bacon. I got a breakfast sandwich with home fries and they were all delicious. There are religious sayings on the walls and on the coffee cups which I found nice and not invasive. We were a party of 5 and the place is small. There was a table free but not cleaned off, which we did ourselves so we could sit there. Waitress did come over and wiped off the table. The food was bland and we waited 40 minutes for our meal to come. No real maple syrup with French toast. I had read this in a review so bought my own at the counter. We happened to pass by this café on our way out of North Conway and we are so glad we did. The service was fast and friendly. The food was excellent. We ordered a Belgian waffle with fresh strawberries on top. And appreciated the fact that it was fresh strawberries and not frozen. We also ordered an omelette that came with toast and home fries. The omelette was very filling and fluffy. The bread looked like it was homemade and it was delicious! We both had ice coffee, which was excellent. They offered to put it in to go cups for us so that we could take it with us if we had some left. My only reason for giving it four stars instead of five is that I don't like how restaurants are making you pre-pay before you get your food. On the weekend before Christmas, I was on my way to celebrate a friend's birthday in Fryeburg, but I was very early. I stopped for lunch at the Sweet Maple cafe for a lunch. My experience went from great to bizarre in the span of a half-hour. Not really the restaurant's fault.... I guess....? What do you think? I ordered a latte, a BLT on a wheat wrap, with chips and a pickle. Service was fast and the meal was quite good. Especially nice was the delicious "sticky bun latte," which was sweet and smelled heavenly. They seemed to have a large array of baked goods available, in addition to the tasty sandwiches. I have probably driven by this place a thousand times and never noticed it. I sat by the window and watched the cars go by on Rt. 16. This is where things got bizarre... A group of musicians entered the cafe and began to play Christmas music on their instruments. It seemed like harmless fun, in the spirit of Christmas carolers from the days of old. The vocalist went to the kitchen window of the restaurant and grabbed one of the workers, an older gentleman, and began dancing with him. When the music stopped, the Christmas caroling singer awkwardly solicited donations from diners in the restaurant, stating that they were going to some unremembered charity organization. She distributed a plastic-coated pamphlet that outlined the details of this charity. She collected her pamphlet when she collected donations from the diners. WTF? It was super sketchy and very uncomfortable. I doubt I will ever stop here again. Maybe I seem mean-spirited, but shouldn't restaurant personnel protect their clients from such shakedowns for donations? read more

We stopped in here by chance after trying to find something coming up rt 16 and not finding any places that served breakfast or was not just packed. We'd planned on going to the Poor People's Pub in Sanbornton only to find they do not do breakfast there so needless to say when we finally got up to Conway, we were quite hungry, and the Sweet Maple Cafe couldn't have been more perfect. The service was really friendly and helpful, the ambiance in the outdoor seating was lovely, the coffee was so good and the food was copious and delicious. I had their steak and eggs and my wife had a cheese garden veggie omelet. Both dishes were very good and granted we were quite peckish we were so grateful to find such a nice place to sate our breakfast needs. We got one of their lemon square pastries for the road which was quite yummy too. Very reasonable prices too which was pretty nice too. We arrived here for breakfast on a Tuesday at approximately 11:00am. There was a steady flow of customers coming in but not overly crowded. Someone promptly greeted us with menus and explained how the ordering worked. We sat at a table and decided what we wanted and then ordered at the counter. After you order you get your own coffee and the staff brings your food to your table. If you see a long line at the counter, don't be discouraged because the staff is really fast. My daughter ordered Gluten free pancakes which came out undercooked, but when she told the staff about it they were very apologetic, remade the order and gave it to her on the house. Overall we all were very happy with our experience here, the staff was so friendly and attentive that I complimented them on their service. The prices are very reasonable and I don't understand why some reviews are saying they're overpriced. I had blueberry pancakes and they were delish. We would definitely go back when we return to Conway.......*** I will point out that you pay before your food arrives, and while paying with a card you will be prompted to add a tip if you'd like. I have to admit that I was a little skeptical about tipping before hand, but I am soooo glad I did, the staff more than earned it and I would have felt awful if I hadn't left a tip. read more

If I could give less than one star I would. Without a doubt the worst service I've ever experienced in the Mt Washington valley. There is no waitetress service: they don't wash the tables: they don't give you napkins and the coffee mugs have mouth marks still on them from the last user. On the plus side they delivered the food quickly and the food was fair. The toast and coffee was excellent. But I'll never come back. It's like mortal combat just to get bacon and eggs.
