Breakfast at Rosie's! Bacon omelet and side of biscuit and gravy. Fruit cup and Egg for me!

Service and food and ambience just perfect for the last day of vacation . Kelly was excellent and made you feel very welcome! Hit it out of the park! See you soon!

Haddock was amazing!

Everything was amazing. Fish and chips were great. Services was great too. Hubby loved his blueberry pancakes.

Suddenly we had free time so we decided on breakfast. Tasty, quick basic breakfast. Pancakes were a tad on the thick side but were tasty. Good bacon! Hash browns were nice and crunchy and not burned like I get at a lot of places. Special was Irish Benedict which I was told was very good. There was a hair in my eggs that I noticed before my first bite. Waitress took plate away immediately and brought me a new one. She was great about it.

Food was good and service was excellent. The mushroom burger was a bit in the salty side and the turkey bacon Swiss in sourdough was very tender and tasty. It was a tad pink don't know if that's normal for inhouse oven roasted turkey‍.

We were chatting with the front office lady at our motel about local breakfast joints and all of a sudden she got real animated and said something about us having to go to Rosie's. That was enough for us! As we parked our car at Rosie's and walked to the front door we saw that it was crowded. We also saw, courtesy of a sign board that Rosie's has a unique seating policy - no reservations and no need to give a name to the hostess. Instead, you just line up and periodically a hostess will come out and gather info on how many people are in your party to manage who gets seated next. As we worked our way up the outdoors line and then into the building we had a good opportunity to watch Rosie's crew in action. I was struck by two things- how many regular customers were greeted by name and the warm embraces so many received. We saw one young toddler who must have been hugged by 3 different servers. I was also struck by how hard they worked and how cheerful they all were. One young lady really stood out-she literally sprinted to and from every table she interacted with. Our server Jordan was a delight, chatting with us about Rosie's famous cinnamon rolls, and just being overall charming. She brought us coffee right away and took our order for two over easy eggs, a side of scrambled eggs, a cinnamon roll, and a side of their homemade corned beef hash. Man oh man was the food great, and I have to tell you about their hash. Rosie's sells two kinds of hash - "Store" for $4.59 and Home made for $5.99. You'd be a fool to save a buck and a half and go for the store bought hash, because their Home Made hash is a grand slam home run out of the stadium.  No teeny tiny shreds of corned beef here, it was jam packed with big hunks of excellent meat. And as expected, the cinnamon roll was great and they sell four packs to go if you have a hankering for that. So in terms of excellent friendly service, a big menu, excellent food, and good value ($21.54 for our two meals) Rosie's is an easy Five Star No Brainer.

Hash real corned beef.

Came in crowded every waitress was smiling. Very upbeat lunch and breakfast only though. Ordered the "Let's hash it out" choice of house made hash or canned. Who would order that is beyond me. But when it came out amazing. It was a dream in my mouth. It was as good as any deli in New York. This is a must eat place.

Stopped here on the way home from a wedding weekend and needed a good coffee and a full belly ! There was a long line but it was well worth the wait ! Great food friendly service ! A little more expensive then a typical diner but the food is not a grease pit . The hash browns are cooked different then I've ever seen them in 47 years ! Everything was great but the only thing that could use improvement is the coffee. The corned beef hash was cooked perfectly and tasted great ! That's how it should be served universally ! Found out about this place on yelp due to the good reviews ! Voted best diner / breakfast in NH ?! I would definitely recommend this place if you are in the area ! Also Cash Only ! I love that !

Just in town for the day and stumbled across Roses by whim. So pleasantly surprised -- they have the best breakfast! We got the hash tag hash dish and the stuffed french toast. Waited in line for about ten minutes but we came in right at lunchtime. Would recommend! Super friendly staff too.

There weren't many people lined up, but we still ended up waiting about 30 min for a table. This seems to be caused by a lack of staff - we noticed tables weren't being cleaned up for a good 10-15 min after people left, and waitresses were rushing around. Honestly from what we observed - they could slash their waiting time by half by being more efficient and/or hiring busboys. But moving on. Food was definitely worth the wait! Boyfriend and I both had the "Cadillac" breakfast (because, well, our car) and we both loved it. He had pancakes with it and I had French toast - I *loved* the French toast. Delicious. Boyfriend also had a side of corned beef hash and I had a bite - it was my first time trying corned beef and I liked it a lot! He liked it too, and says he's usually picky with that dish, so... Overall we would return! Food was great and service was super friendly.

Everything we had was delicious and the service was a good balance of a hustling diner staff that takes time when needed to remain friendly and personable. No reservations, you put your name in and wait. We waited about an hour and a half, and I can confidently say it was worth it! The menu is small with only a handful of options, but they clearly know what they do and do it WELL. I had the cheeseburger with fries (no bun), and MAN, that burger was cooked to perfection. So juicy, and the fries were perfectly golden with just the right amount of crunch. My husband got the tuna salad and made it a melt, this was actually his birthday wish, so we HAD to make the trip! He said it was one of the best tuna salads he's ever had. You know the food is good when both of us are sitting there silently eating. Both of our counter servers were so friendly and the service was great. If you're in the Kennebunkport area and have the time, Palace Diner is a MUST. Absolutely worth the wait and DEFINITELY lives up to the hype!

Marcy's was part of the latter - I had seen the name float around a while, and since the reviews looked great I thought it would be a good place to have breakfast. That being said, I made plans to check it out. Marcy's is a small corner diner, located just off Congress Street near the Portland Museum of Art. It wasn't crowded when I arrived, and immediately got a seat at the counter. The interior is super casual - more casual than an average diner, but is also very welcoming. I can see this place getting crowded/a wait during peak times as there are only a few tables in addition to the counter. The diner is only open for breakfast and lunch, 5 days per week. The menu has several breakfast staples as well as some more creative dishes they concocted. I didn't want to go off the beaten path, so I focused on their breakfast combos which had a mixture of eggs and carbs. I decided on their Number 6 which contained choice eggs (I got scrambled), has browns, choice of breakfast meat (I got sausage), and choice of flavored pancakes (I got blueberry). The breakfast was delicious - the portions are large and I could tell they use quality ingredients. There isn't much more I can say outside of the fact that this was a solid meal with delicious food - it was really everything you want out of a diner breakfast. Service was also great - everyone was friendly and chill; I could tell they get along well and that they put a lot of love into this place. Overall, Marcy's Diner is a yes - there is nothing flashy here, but I had a delicious meal in a friendly, casual environment. I wouldn't hesitate to return the next time I'm in Portland.
