I still dream of the market at White Mountain Cider! The restaurant here is obviously more coveted as it is an upscale farm to table version of this market. But, man when you are on vacation and miss home cooking or just fresh food, what a nice surprise it is to eat here! Staff were very friendly and quick to take our order. We came here with our rambunctious two toddlers and ate outside in the lovely mini garden- bench set up. If you come around lunch time, staff set up an apple cider brew table. We ordered: 1.) Short rib bahn mi - 4 stars, lacked classic bahn mi flavors through sauce pairings but the meat and vegetables were so fresh and yummy 2.) Fried chicken sandwich - 4 stars 3.) Friend chicken tenders and fries for the kiddos - 5 stars The market also as most markets do includes goods for purchase. Apple cider, coffee beans, boxed pasta is for purchase - but so is a wide variety of frozen and refrigerated farm fresh meals from soup, pasta dishes to cheese and even beers. We got the zucchini fritters for our app. Delicious and spicy. My boyfriend got the pork chop and I got the Ricotta gnocchi. Everything was delicious. The pork chop was cooked medium so it was juicy and flavorful. It came with fried potato cakes and air friend broccoli. I asked to add chicken to my dish and although they forgot, they quickly rectified it and got me some grilled chicken to add. The ambiance is cozy, the waitstaff is friendly and attentive. We had a truly phenomenal dinner for our anniversary. One of the best steaks I've ever eaten. Gnocchi and scallops were amazing. Calamari prepared that way was delicious. Cheesecake with the tart cherries was perfection. I told my husband this is one of those meals we're going to talk about for years to come... We visited White Mountain Cider Co on a Monday evening. From the moment we arrived, to the second we left the building, we were treated like cherished friends. This is a unique, special restaurant. I wish we had arrived earlier in order to browse the adjacent market place. The fire was going, the cocktails were great, the cider was tangy & delicious, the service is stellar. Start with the Parmesan bread, it's a winner. I had the ricotta gnocchi & my companion had the scallops. Both were well prepared & bursting with flavor. We were too full for the dessert we had wanted to try, hot apple cider donuts with ice cream & caramel. As we were leaving, our terrific waitress handed us 2 donuts in a container and said "have them for breakfast". It was a lovely gesture & great way to end the visit. This review is tough to write. I've heard so many people tell me how much they love this place...I just didn't. It's a cute place inside - exposed beam, warm decor and inviting space. A small bar as you enter that was full when we came in. We sat at a small table in the bar area. Everyone was very nice and our waitress was attentive enough - but she seemed a bit busy. But all was fine service wise. So....the food. It's weird. Like trying too hard to be different but just didn't hit the mark for me. I see bread on a menu and I get excited! So immediately I ordered the Parmesan bread with dill pickle butter. The bread was warm and I enjoyed it but the butter with dill pickle just didn't work for me. Lots of other things to me could have complemented the bread better. Then we order the lettuce wraps, they were ok. My friend ordered the duck and I tried it and we both really liked it! The vegetables were good! My sirloin....the steak itself was good despite being a tad overcooked for medium rare. Something on the plate had a curry flavor - it just didn't all go together well. Then the lemon ricotta cheesecake....we didn't taste any lemon, it was thick and weirdly dry for a cheesecake. It also had freeze dried something on top....we actually weren't sure what. Some bright spots - the food quality! You can tell that these are top notch high quality ingredients, and the cocktails! They were yummy! I just don't like the weird combos and what (to me) feels like being weird for the sake of being different versus just being good. Since I only come up here a few times a season I likely will go to our other favorites or try new spots. read more

Gentleman (believe Alex?) was very nice and offered great conversation while they made the sandwiches. Finding great food near Bartlett and North Conway isn't that easy. Luckily every time we've been to this place, the dinners have been wonderful. We always make a reservation, because the place is always busy. We started with the "Sautéed Fiddleheads; a day-of special; due to the chef picking some that were growing outside of his apartment. This was such a treat. The Parmesan Bread was ok. More like Texas Toast, found in the supermarket. My wife's Ricotta Basil Gnocchi with Scallops (+16) was a great way to keep out the chilly mountain air. My Ancho & Garlic Grilled Pork Chop was tender, and went well with the salty Garlic/Thyme Hash Browns That entree was huge, and we took about half of it home (Made A Good Snack) We passed on dessert, since we had them all before in past visits. Our server Emma, was very outgoing, and excited for meal choices. There are only about 4 or 5 great restaurants, in the area. This is one of them ! read more

Excellent food and service in a lovely, historically atmospheric restaurant with old beams and a giant fireplace on Rt. 302. Food quality was the top draw. Showed some talent, care and creativity not often found in tourist areas. Calamari appetizer was exceptional. Chicken cacciatore was hearty and flavorful in an unexpected way -- almost like a casserole. Four stars for me is the highest I typically give. Best meal we had on our trip! We decided to give this place a try after driving by because of its close proximity to our Airbnb. The outside is unsuspecting and our hopes were not very high as it is fairly difficult to find decent food in the area. We were pleasantly surprised! We arrived 30 minutes before they opened (unaware they were closed) and were still met with kindness and helpful staff who made a reservation for us for when they opened. We sat outside which was perfect with a toddler. Staff were very friendly and service was great. We were skeptical of the menu as it is limited but all of our meals were excellent. Our first time here. Our innkeeper recommended. Let me just say it was amazing! We sat outside, lovely patio and gorgeous weather. We both had the Cidertini to start, of course we had to get something with cider in it, and it did not disappoint. We got the littleneck appetizer, and it was so good! The clams were so fresh; they tasted like the ocean. The sauce and herbs added so many layers of flavors, it really was incredible. For our entrees, my husband got the bouillabaisse, the broth was very flavorful. I got the double duck and the duck was cooked perfectly, and the seasoning and cook on the skin was ridiculously good! Of course we had to end with the apple cider donuts. The caramel was very tasty and the donuts were delicious. All in all one of the best meals we have had in NH, and we have been coming since we were both children. We will definitely be back! read more

After a being terribly ignored at the Wentworth Lounge we ended up here for dinner. It was fate! Great experience all around. Food was fantastic. The stuffed dates (four so you could actually equally share it!) were very tasty. The charcuterie board was well stocked and yummy. Salads very very tasty as well with great dressings. We've been coming to White Mountain Cider Co for years and never leave disappointed. The service is amazing (we had Jeremiah this time and he was awesome), the menu rotates and they seemingly always hit home runs with their dishes, and the cocktails are incredible. It's a cozy restaurant and we always make it a point to eat here once per trip. Very cute store. The deli was delicious. I selected the Bhan Mi which had a perfectly toasted ciabatta bread, nice slab of pot roast, and pickles to brighten up meal. There was a little kick which was pleasant. My friend ordered the thanksgiving dinner sandwhich that had ample amounts of turkey with a nice layer of crandberry sauce and stuffing. His description was "this tastes like next day leftovers" which is the best type of left overs. The store was kind of small with limited selection. Lots of soup and dinners. Outstanding. One of the best dining experiences I have had in awhile. They have a patio seating area with heaters which is where we sat. Staff were friendly and accommodating. If you are in the area do not miss this. To start we got the korma soup which had a nice velvety textures and fantastic flavor. Poutine with ramps and fiddleheads was great. For entrees we did the gnocchi and pastrami spiced duck.duck was tender and flavorful and the gnocchi pillowy. For dessert the deconstructed s'mores with a chocolate cake was outstanding. We were so looking forward to trying this restaurant after reading all the reviews so my experience was a bit let down from my high expectations. Here are the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly: The Good- + Great atmosphere, rustic and cozy with a nice real wood fireplace in the middle of the restaurant for ambience. + Yummy cocktails and special drinks, reasonably priced. We thoroughly enjoyed our cidertini and Brandy Alexander. They also have a good selection of local beer and ciders on draft and bottles/can. + Prompt seating and tentative servers. + The Calamari appetizer was delicious, crispy fried with picked slaw and fresh greens and Sriracha mayonnaise sauce. + Kid friendly - they don't have an official children's menu but they offer pasta dishes that are better than your typical kid's menu. We ordered pasta Alfredo with sausage for my son, it was so delicious (maybe the best entree from our dinner experience... I'll get into that later). The Bad- - Pice... Yes, I was aware ahead of time that this would be an expensive experience, but $42 for 4 pieces of seared scallop with white beans was a bit much for me. Granted it was well seasoned and cooked, I would expect it to have bigger portion or came with garlic bread or something else. - I love Asian dishes, so when I saw that they had a ramen special AND a Thai noodle on the regular menu, I thought to myself that these people are confident with Asian cuisine so I can feel good about ordering... I WAS WRONG. My Thai curry pork noodle was mediocre at best. Yes, the pulled pork was tender and flavorful, but that's about it. The egg noodle in the dish was very one demensional, doesn't have great texture and didn't absorb the sauce well. The Thai sauce needed a kick or spice. The price wasn't bad but the dish was not good. I was disappointed for sure. The Ugly- - It's true I'm a ramen snob. I love my ramen and when I see ramen on the menu, you bet I will be ordering it! Unfortunately for this miso beef ramen dish with kimchi on the menu, it was a huge miss. I'm totally open to new flavor or interpretation of the classic if you can make it delicious, but to my dismay, this is not the case. First of all, there's not much of a soup base and it doesn't taste much like miso, a bit too sweet too. There wasn't much beef in the dish; it was good, but nothing to rave about. They used the same noodle in my Thai noodle dish as the "ramen". Clearly they did not understand what kind of noodles qualifies as ramen! Ramen noodles need to be thinner to be able to pickup the flavor of the soup base and have chewy texture to give that satisfying feeling of meal in a bowl... None of that here. - Perhaps the biggest offense here is the "kimchi" advertised on the dish. We asked for it on the side because the ramen was for my daughter and she doesn't do spicy. To call it "kimchi" was false advertising... It's more of pickle vegetables, without chilli flavor, no fish sauce, no napa cabbage. It was okay, but not kimchi. We may just got the 2 wrong things on the menu, given the popularity of this place, I'm sure they have other delicious food. Unfortunately for us, our experience were not the best. If you do come, I recommend staying away from their Asian fusion dishes. read more

Stopped by at their marketplace during lunch hours to grab some warm apple cider and donuts before hitting the road. The hot mulled apple cider was $4.50 for a 16 oz cup and each donut was $1.25 (or buy a dozen for $10). The cider was super fragrant and the donuts still had a crisp to them from being fried. The market is a mix of a bakery and store. They have fresh pastries and refrigerated goodies but also other items such as kitchen towels, honey, maple syrup, candles, lotion, etc. to purchase. There are stickers on the floor to indicate social distancing. You enter from the front and exit at the side of the building. There's no indoor seating inside the market, but there are 5 large tables outside. read more
