She then greeted us by telling us we should've stayed at the hostess table to be sat. She then continue to make slight comments such as when you're ready I can actually see you and things such like that I don't normally write reviews where I have to add that some of the staff members were rude, but I do wanna note that. Our waitress , I believe her name was Rae, was fantastic. She was absolutely hilarious super friendly. And worked with all of our allergies make sure she noted it on all of our food orders. If you don't like crowds though, be prepared - this is always a tight one. I love big crowds and busy spaces, personally, so I was in my element! * If you want a sitting spot (for example at one of the tasting room outdoor tables) the reality is that you'll have to show up at 10am or even before, for the 11am opening, and wait in line. Live music was on all day and it was fun to watch people in traditional costumes dance! I loved the merch this year! The Oktoberfest mug is beautiful. Also got a tile, tee shirt, socks, some cans... As for the beer offerings - I admit I am not a beer drinker. I pretty much only drink beer from Schilling - but I've learned a few things from them and going to their fests... I don't like pilsners and light beers at all, or any "fruity" flavors. I love IPAs, and I can do marzens and darker beers. There was 50+ breweries represented at this Oktoberfest, some from as far as Germany, and a couple of Quebec and Ontario breweries too! All volunteers were friendly and knew their stuff. Overall this was another great day, with once again the weather on our side. I attended with my boyfriend (on a designated driver ticket) and a friend from town, and we all had a great time!
