I called Saturday night (11/22) to check to see how long the wait was for a party of two, spoke to Jo Jo who is the manager she told " Just come on in, ask for Jo Jo , I will get you seated right away!" Walked in 15 mins later with my girlfriend, we were warmly welcomed by Jo Jo who could not be any nicer, she did indeed seat as right away but she gave us a quick overview of the menu, made recommendations & then led us to a nice table in the dining room. we started off with excellent drinks ( my painkiller was mad exactly how I liked them making me feel like I was back in Yost Van Dyke in Virgin Islands, we got the fried calamari ( as Jo Jo recommended which was excellent)! For entrees , I got Short Rib Marsala ( another one of Jo Jo's recommendations ), it was the best Short Rib , I ever had, girlfriend got a steak which was perfectly cooked just as she ordered. We've visited a couple of times now and the latest visit in April sealed the deal - I like it. I ordered the Shaker Cranberry Pot Roast and the meat was so tender it literally melted in my mouth. The restaurant is fairly large and is located in the New England Inn & Lodge. It's slightly off the beaten path but easy to drive to and find. The service is always great. We've been fortunate enough to eat at odd times during trips so we aren't sure of how busy it gets. We'll be back. read more

The steak was absolutely fantastic, and truly, all the dishes we tried were excellent. Service was also friendly and welcoming. Be prepared for a wait, though! You couldn't find anything wrong if you tried. We started with the calamari appetizer which was plentiful and delicious. Interspersed were pickled onions or peppers , very delicious. We then shared cranberry pot roast which was also delicious. The wait staff was fine with our sharing even giving us an extra plate and 2 salads as our 2 sides. Doesn't happen often. The atmosphere and the service was what you'd expect from an upscale restaurant but the prices were reasonable for the exceptional food. read more

Solid choice for dinner, but gets busy so make a reservation if you're a group (or be prepared to wait). The parking lot has been packed every time I've been, both summer and winter. I've never had to wait too long for a table, but it's always just been two of us, and it looks like larger groups have longer waits. if you've got a group and it ain't mid-week, reservations are probably a good idea! Service has always been solid, both at the bar and in the restaurant, but again they do get busy. Food is basic American, but better than average. Not going to win a James Beard Award, but nothing I've tried has been bad. Meat loaf was tasty, but the mac and cheese with short rib was better, would definitely get that again! read more

i love north conway, and this is one of the better restaurants around. i came here with a few of my cousins and we got a bunch of food and drinks. the service was good, the waitress was nice. the inside was cute! they are a little more on the pricey side though, so just be aware. i got the filet, which was cooked perfectly medium. others at the table ordered the short rib mac and cheese, which was good, big portion. a cheese pizza, and the shepherds pie- those were good and the portions were good too! for drinks we ordered the pickle martini, and some sort of bourbon mule. the pickle martini was really good! i did not try the bourbon mule, but they liked it! would definitely come back here if i wanted a nice dinner while staying up by the mountains. read more

Ok we went on a Saturday during a school break so yeah.. we waited about an hour... but it was worth it. There's a reason everyone was waiting. We just got two appetizers and couldn't even get dessert bc of how full we were. The cornbread is so delicious and I don't even like cornbread. A must have- perfect to share with the table. And the poutine was the best poutine I've had (.... I've not had much to be honest but still). I loved the short rib in it and the gravy was cream gravy so it's a unique take. Good pub food, you know by the local crowd waiting here at 6 pm on Friday night. A nice regular patron waiting near us recommended the Mac & cheese, fish & chips or burgers. Luckily the host was very friendly and the seating moved along in a timely manner. We were placed at a busy bar, not the most relaxing but sports fans may enjoy the tv's. I had a small watery, low -on- onion soup with lots of floating bread cubes in a tiny bowl, the size of cup, added a side of toasted bread, fully greased, helped to spread the melted cheddar around... I don't really recommend this onion soup. We split the big portion of creamy Mac n cheese with pot roast on top, it was hearty like grandmas Sunday dinners. Saturday Night TakeOut, Giant Prime Rib and a ShortRib Marsala, Prime Rib was fantastic, although the 15 minute travel left the meat on the cool side. The Short Rib Marsala was delicious portions were great! Technically a 3.5 but we can't give half points. Staff was very friendly and we were seated quick. Came here for dinner. They don't serve coke products, only Pepsi. Salads- Ceaser was a 4 good but not the best because It seems they skimped on the croutons and Parmesan. Garden (house) salad was excellent - Italian dressing was excellent. Appetizer- artichoke dip was horrible. No spinach and few skimpy pieces of artichoke. Was mostly cheese and who knows what. Dinner was 16 oz ribeye. Was cooked great but was super fatty (more that usual for a ribeye). Needed salt as flavoring was eh. Mashed potatoes were great. Vegetable medley was green beans with 4 half pieces of squash. Skimped on the rest of the medley. Dessert was excellent brownie sundae. Nice ambiance overall. Would be rated higher with less skimping. read more

We dined here last night, Tuesday May 6th with 8 co workers. We had a cocktail and sat by the bar, the bartender was so friendly! Then when everyone arrived we were brought to our table for dinner. We started with some yummy apps and great conversation, the server was awesome and made sure we had everything we needed including our drinks! Staff very friendly! Seated in the bar. Ordered and got drinks asap! Had french onion it was ok ( have had better ) husband had chicken corn chowder , he loved it! Tasted a lil too bacony for my liken, i had the prime rin and baked potato ! Cut for 16oz was huge and cooked perfect & had great flavor!! Husband had meatloaf and liked it as well ! We brought friends to one of our favorite spots while in the North Conway area, but their first impression wasn't great. A staff member rudely told us to move even though we were standing exactly where we'd been instructed to wait and the spot says "Order here". It was awkward and unnecessary, especially on a night that wasn't particularly busy. Thankfully, we convinced our friends to stay, and the food was excellent as always. Table service was friendly and on point (good job Angel). Still, the rude interaction at the start makes us wonder if that kind of behavior might happen again. It definitely gives us pause about coming back and makes it harder to recommend to others with confidence. read more

He guided us through the menu with ease, offering spot-on recommendations and wine pairings so thoughtful and refined we were genuinely surprised he wasn't the sommelier. His understanding of flavor, pacing, and guest experience is something you usually only find in fine dining establishments, and even then, rarely with this level of warmth and intuition. The food was beautifully presented and genuinely delicious (the special that night was outstanding), but it was Colin's instinctive hospitality and attention to detail that elevated the entire evening. He struck that perfect balance of professionalism and charm, making us feel welcome without ever being overbearing. YOU NEED TO COME HERE. Hands down the best brewery in all of the white mountains. Live music, huge seating area, indoor and outdoor seating, beautiful interior/exterior, wonderful service, and just a bunch of awesome people. It's also very kid friendly. Our 2 and 4 year old had the best time dancing to the live music. They also liked to play out in the snow! The beers - so so good and lots of options for beers and ciders. They offer pick-your-own flights as well, which is a great way to try many different types of beers. Food - out of this world good. Try any of the pizzas! Also the salads are huge and so yummy - could definitely split with 2-3 people as an app. Can't wait to come back! read more

I knew exactly what kind of food to expect when I got served the side caesar... best caesar I'd had in recent memory, the dressing was even better than one I would have made from scratch at home. Unsurprisingly the ribeye that came out after was cooked perfectly with a lovely sauce. Great atmosphere, inspired cocktails, and great food significantly elevated above the standard for a restaurant like this. The only downside is that it can get absolutely mobbed, with the lone bar seat I snagged the only seat available. read more

Cannot go wrong with Tuckerman's! There is a reason this place is so busy, the food, the service, and just the vibes are great. I went with a group of 7 and everyone was happy with what they got. To start we had a variation of martini's and a few painkillers. They were all delicious but I am partial to the lemon drop martini! The service was so quick and our waitress was so sweet, even putting up with my dad's painful dad jokes. We had appetizers of poutine and spinach artichoke dip. I ride or die for spinach dip and this was no different. The pitas they give on the side really elevate it. The meat on the poutine was melt in your mouth. I got the Brew burger it the beer cheese instead of a slice of cheese on it was amazing. Messy but amazing! My dad raved about the prime rib. The caesars were great, they do not skimp on the dressing. Have visited a few times before this but will for sure be back. read more

We had cranberry pot roast again this time, the meat was very tender. It's our favourite dish for the night. We also had clam chowder and Outta bounds sandwich, both very good. The only thing we do not enjoy is our side choice green bean. It was way too crunch, tastes like raw. I won't order green bean again. But everything else was good. Good place for dine. read more

What an awesome place this is! We made reservations with our stay at New England Inn & Lodges. It was a quick walk across the street & it felt pretty awesome to walk past the people waiting for a table. We went twice, one night for a drink & an app. The next night was for dinner. I wish I wrote this review closer to when we went so that I could name the waitress we had both times because she is worth mentioning! We were seated at her section the first visit & the next night we requested to sit wherever she was (which ended up being the bar). She's tall, has dark wavy hair & a very upbeat personality. My husband and I had dinner here during our last NH trip. For a Wednesday night it was pretty busy, but our wait was maybe 15 minutes. We were starving after a long day, so we decided to start off with the Artichoke Dip, which was very good. For my entree, I went with the BBQ Chicken Sandwich, which was also very good. We were very disappointed last night at the restaurant. We visit here probably twice a year, and my wife ordered the Chicken Savannah, which came with a tiny piece of chicken and a few small vegetables--hardly enough for $30. We couldn't believe it. I ordered the meatloaf, which was tasty but also served in a very small portion. We spoke to the waitress, who said she would discuss our concerns with the kitchen. When she returned, she didn't even mentioned what happened very disappointed in the entire situation. We are now very doubtful about ever returning. read more

This place has so many good reviews and so I was so very excited. Our waiter Angel was so amazing. He was so busy and had so many tables and yet so friendly. And he was very cute too. Actually all the staff was so warm and friendly from the person who took our name for the waitlist, to the host. They don't take reservations so we drove there and I put my name on the waiting list. They will text you when your table is ready. They told me it would be a 45 minute wait and we put our name in while we discussed going somewhere else but the table was ready in less than 10 minutes. We got the Short Rib Nachos which were delicious and ginormous; the plate was huge, the short rib was very tender. It came out almost immediately which was great since we were hungry. The only negative was that the bbq sauce on it was a little too sweet. My Short Rib Marsala was delicious with little pasta pouches of super garlicky cheese. It was yummy but I wouldn't call adding mushrooms to essentially a gravy a Marsala Sauce. My sister's burger was good too. Unfortunately the French Onion Soup tasted only of beef bouillon and had no onion flavor. Also the Fish and Chips was cold inside. In short: Not a terrible place but it didn't live up to expectations, and two of our dishes were bad though the others were good. read more

We both started with a rum punch that was really good. We then put the order on for the short rib nachos and they were awesome. After eating those I did not have that much room left so i went for the spicy corn chowder bowl and my fiancé got the open face sandwich. His was really good. I loved the corn chowder as well but wished it had more bacon but it is a chicken corn chowder so i should of expected that. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the service was impeccable, and the food--simply out of this world. I got the surf + turf, which consisted of perfectly seared scallops, lollipop lamb chops, and risotto to die for! My boyfriend got the bison ribeye with a baked potato and the vegetable du jour- again, phenomenal. I've never tasted anything like both the dishes! Stayed on the property, so we got priority seating which is a nice perk since it's usually pretty busy. They have a great variety of local beers and typical but great quality pub food. There's also a steak menu I have yet to try since we usually eat here upon arriving at the lodge and just want a burger and a beer. read more

Went here with a large party on vacation earlier this summer and had easily one of the best steaks I have ever had.
