Since we were going to be apart for our actual anniversary, we decided to try The Wild Rose and celebrate early. The Manor is beautiful and hosts the restaurant. It was dark so not sure of the views but it looks incredible. The staff was so pleasant and apparently everyone was enjoying their meal and experience were not leaving to open up tables for the 7:00 slots. They managed to get us in and we had the perfect spot with just another couple and off the main dining area. Quieter The menu offer variety and we both managed to find something. Interesting twist with the salmon with tomato sauce and cheese on top. Thought it was a Parmesan. But it was good Just off the main road, so you might miss it if you are not looking for it. Worth a visit.

Wild Rose seafood with house made fettuccine

The ambiance is just what we remember from other visits. We ate in the sunken terrace behind the library overlooking the pool area. We dined early after a long day of driving and are glad we did as the restaurant was very busy by the time we finished. We started out with seasonal cocktails: strawberry mojitos and hibiscus martinis. Both were refreshing for a summer evening. We started with Caesar salad & the butternut squash bisque. The soup was a hit and many around us chose it too. We opted for seafood tonight. The Lobster ravioli was tender and full flavored, accompanied by generous amounts of tender lobster claw and fresh tomato. The house special Wild Rose with homemade tomato rose fettuccine had tons of seafood: scallops, lobster claws, shrimp and plenty of Jonah crab. None of the seafood was overcooked, and the sauce was just rich enough to complement the food. Needless to say, we had no room for dessert. Worth every penny and our server Ellen was on point all night

We went in on a Thursday night with a party of six for the buy a meal get a meal free deal. This place is an old classic style inn and is run that way too. The staff were all dressed up and extremely friendly. This is a great place for a date night. We started at the bar area and had a martini while we waited for our reservation. It was true amazing to watch the bar tender whip through his orders in the little corner bar. All of the drinks were great! They also have awesome olives for their martinis if you like green olives. There were no complaints at dinner either. We were greeted by our waiter, Paris and we couldn't have more pleased with his company, service, and hospitality. I had the prime rib and it was cooked exactly how I ordered it and the outer edge was packed with flavor from the seasonings. I would have to say this prime rib ranks among the best I've ever had. I was also lucky enough to try the Wild Rose seafood pasta. It is definitely a go to dish here as all the seafood was fresh and cooked perfectly in this flavorful dish. You could taste the lobster in the sauce. I want more!

I think that this restaurant was very typical for what it was...nothing really special just expensive, okay food. We were in town for the auto road race and it was fathers day so I figured that this restaurant looked elegant enough for the occasion. I tried to call and make reservations for 7/7:30 but they couldn't get us in until 8 for some reason. We arrived and it was almost empty with a couple tables seated, so I am not sure why we wouldn't be able to go at the requested time. The server was artificially nice but we found her to be kind of off putting from looking underdressed compared to the rest of the staff to not providing us bread like the rest of the tables until our dinner was out (mind you we ordered appetizers). She didn't seem like she really want to serve us. I believe the bread is advertised as baked in house but it was like eating stale pieces of bread that's been around too long. We ordered 2 appetizers, the seafood pasta special and prime rib dinner. about 20 minutes or so after we got our appetizers the waitress came out and said they were out of the prime rib dinner. We were okay with that and got the lamb instead...imagine how confused we were when a prime rib showed up. I will say that the seafood pasta special was yummy, if I were to go back for anything it would be that but the prime rib was disappointing and not really up to temp. Overall, I would never come back here...even with the beautiful tent view that is available. It seems mediocre at best.

Breakfast dining- quaint manor location.

Location location location - that's what is best about the manor ( oh and Samantha the resident Rottweiler) Our room - Mountain View Wing was extremely dated, small and dark. The bed was very creaky! They have a great website and it is done well but I believe the room photos show only a representation of the rooms in the actual manor. They were at full occupancy so we were not able to book a room with a fireplace and whirlpool tub- which would've been so nice given that one of days was rainy and very cool. They do have a pool and jacuzzi on the property. The library sitting room was nice and cozy and the fireplace was lit one of our nights. We enjoyed a martini before dinner in the library . The Wild Rose Restaurant was fine - our dinner and breakfast meals were included in the package. The food was solid but nothing fancy or outstanding- but definitely edible.

Over the years staff has come and gone (save for a few who return every year faithfully, and it is always a joy to see them again), but Vito's recipes are pretty steadfast. His bolognese has been my standard for decades. Once upon a time, he had the best salad dressing I'd ever had. It has changed a bit with time but still pretty incredible. The staff is not quite what it used to be - possibly due to times changing, or possibly due to my being a bit older and more cranky - but the food is always outstanding.

Seating is a little tight at these tables. There are booths and lower tables but you need to take what's available if you want to eat here. Believe me, you do want to eat here! We were served delicious Italian bread with delicious garlic, balsamic, cheese & rosemary dipping sauce. We were then served with salads with their own dressing. It was really good. We ordered toasted ravioli in a marinara sauce and two baseball sized meatballs. Both delicious. Then my honey got veal parmigiana, I got Chicken, Broccoli and Ziti in a white cheese sauce, and my sister got Chicken Marsala. We were very impressed with the portions and taste of all of these dishes. It was surprising to find such fine dining down a side street in North Conway near Zebs Country store. There is plenty of parking, a full bar, plenty of wines to choose from and handicap accessible. We rated this a 10 out of 10. We didn't have dessert as it was me and my twins Birthday. But, they sure looked delicious. Next time, and there will be a next time, I will try a dessert.

The food was overall good. We started with the Thai salad. It was enormous and comes with pepper, sunflower seeds, cranberry, sunflower seed dried, almonds, and more. This salad was so good that we got it to go the next day! For entrees we got the Texas Tornado sandwich (boneless chicken breast with bacon) and the Surf and Turf Burger. The chicken wasn't dry and the sweet potato fries ($2 upcharge) were good. For the surf and turf, I didn't feel like the lobster blended well with the burger so I took it off and ate it separately. The French fries were finger licking good! Our waitress was really nice and friendly and make some good conversation and recommendations. The wait time for our entrees was a little slow.

We booked the "red room" for a party of 10 patrons which we scheduled far in advance. The people that were in the room before us ran over on their time, so we had to wait about 18 minutes after our reservation. The room is pretty cramped due to the length of the table, but it was cute and cozy. The max amount of people is 12 in this room. I had the taste of Ireland, which gives you three dishes in sample size: shepherds pie, beef stew & chicken pot pie. For $19.00 (kind of steep) it was okay. You can tell that there's a lot of pride, and it has a "just like mama used to make" method of cooking. Seems like they take a lot of pride in all of their dishes. It seems that everybody truly enjoyed their dishes, even the ones that had salad. Again, it was really nice that we were able to have our very own room. I would certainly come back and have the corned beef and cabbage meal; that's what my mother had and she said it was great. The only negative thing I would say is that our waitress seemed like she was a bit annoyed, having to wait on a large group and we needed to split our checks. Other than that I felt that our service was sufficient.

I want to start off by saying if someone comes into your establishment 1. Don't assume they are door dashing 2. Treat them like the client before or after them. Once seated it took over 5 mins and two walks past from the server before she even acknowledged me. She comes over ask for my drink order and at no point asks me did I want an appetizer. Also I tried being polite and make conversation by asking which of the bourbons cocktail would she recommend. She immediately gets an attitude and goes well they're all good. I'm like ok. The drink comes and I have to go can I order a couple appetizers. I order them and she never comes and ask me did I want to order an entree. The poutine fries were so soggy and fries weren't even fully cooked. The duck was highly chewy. After 22 mins with my appetizer she finally comes back. I ask why time do you close she goes kitchen closes at 8. It's currently 746, I then ok can I order my entree. I order the grilled Caesar and brink chicken. Not sure why they didn't bring out both at the same time because they immediately brought the salad out and took another 15 for the burnt chicken. The chicken was the most disrespectful thing ever. In what world would you think it's ok to serve that. Then go oh they like to get a crust. Ma'am that was burnt. Then not to even get offered anything instead. I just asked for my bill and left. I honestly felt because I was the only person of color they treated me like I wasn't important at all. I felt disrespected, and like they didn't want me there at all.
