    Chicken Piccatta

This little gem is a local favorite in the white mountain national forest area in New Hampshire. The food was great. I got the steak frites and my partner got the chicken piccata. Both were DELICIOUS. My steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare and the fries were amazing as well. The salad was great too. For drinks, we got the key lime pie martini and the lemon lavender martini. The service was quick and great too. The best part was the ambience - they have live music starting at 9 pm and some nights it's open mic. So we got dinner with an impromptu show and we loved it. I would come back here when I'm visiting again. One thing I would check before heading here for dinner is the hours. They are not open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays like most restaurants in the area due to staff shortage so I would double check they are open before making dinner plans here.

Stopped in for dinner after a leaf peeping ride. We were able to sit on the deck with out pup. The staff is amazing so kind and hospitable. The best part is that the chef made a special porkchop for our pupper too. She not only devoured it but also shared with my hubbie. So happy to have stopped in. We loved the food

Solid spot with few improvements needed. Loved the farm to table vibe! When we arrived, our poor waitress (who was great) was the only server in there with a full restaurant. It took us about 15 minutes to get wait on. Our drinks were fabulous (manhattan and pickle martini) and appetizers were decent. Caesar salad had some brown lettuce and barely dressed but soup was yummy. Chicken piccata was great and the beef bowl was awesome! Entrees are the Star. We ran out of there before dessert as it took us 45 minutes to get water and our waitress was run ragged! We didn't want to wait 25 min for dessert. Overall fine food but wish they would add another server! Ours was so lovely and attentive when she was there but poor thing seemed to have 25 tables.

We had a couple of problems with this restaurant, some of them were probably a reflection of how busy they were on a holiday weekend. We have to compliment Luke, our waiter for poise (and stamina) under pressure. He was also waiting on several large tables with small children which is a lot of extra work. So, hats off to Luke for being super helpful. The bar is large and occupies the center of the restaurant. There are no quiet areas. As a matter of fact, the noise level was overwhelming. If you like going to restaurants/bars and screaming at one another at the top of your lungs, THIS is your place! Seriously. I had a clear view of the bar and people there were literally standing cheek-to-jowl and yelling at each other. It was so bad I started to wonder if I was imagining it. So I pulled out my sound meter app on my phone and the noise level was consistently at 90dB! So I give the ambiance an F-minus. Eat outside at one of the few outdoor tables if want to hear one another. On a busy night like ours, don't sit near the door or you'll have a crowd of people looking over your shoulder to see how soon you might finish your meal. Creepy! Not a great place for a date, unless of course you really enjoy screaming at one another. Now for the food. The Caesar Salad was lackluster and the little crown of parmesan was stale. My French Onion Soup was sweet(?) Bizarre. For our main entrees, The wifey got the Brisket Sandwich. Two chunks of brisket, one of which was mostly fat. My Blueberry BBQ Pork Chop was overcooked, hard to cut and there was about an ounce or less of the storied bluebeery BBQ sauce. I have to say that I've never until that night, bit into a crunchy blueberry. I hope I don't get sick! The broccoli "mash" looked disgusting and tasted like overcooked broccoli sent through a blender. The potato salad was basically chunks of boiled potato in some sort of tasteless white sauce. For dessert we had the Chocolate Carrot Cake which was really a piece of chocolate cake with sweet white carrot frosting. It could easily have been a mix. I hope this was an off night for the chef(s), but we ain't comin' back.

Sitting out with a great view of the peeps walking by.

My wife and I stopped in town to walk the streets and found this place. It couldn't have been any better. Great table and great service. She had the spinach salad w grilled chicken. Was the best salad on our trip! I had tge turkey, bacon, avocado sandwich. So good!!

Fantastic service and excellent food! Our waitress was incredible and made outstanding adult concoction recommendations. If you find yourself in N.Conway looking for great food, bevs, and service, give Chef's Bistro a shot!

Friendly fun bartenders give exceptional service. The food was absolutely beautiful and delicious. We just went for appetizers and could not have predicted. We would find the best charcuterie board in the white mountains. Seasonal cocktail menu is imaginative and diverse. Will definitely be back.

As a nice joke on the name, there is a small hole in the wall that is enclosed that you can see from the outside. The walls are filled with old decorations, TVs, Conway signs and decor. The food was overall good. We started with the Thai salad. It was enormous and comes with pepper, sunflower seeds, cranberry, sunflower seed dried, almonds, and more. This salad was so good that we got it to go the next day! For entrees we got the Texas Tornado sandwich (boneless chicken breast with bacon) and the Surf and Turf Burger. The chicken wasn't dry and the sweet potato fries ($2 upcharge) were good. For the surf and turf, I didn't feel like the lobster blended well with the burger so I took it off and ate it separately. The French fries were finger licking good! Our waitress was really nice and friendly and make some good conversation and recommendations. The wait time for our entrees was a little slow.

We booked the "red room" for a party of 10 patrons which we scheduled far in advance. The people that were in the room before us ran over on their time, so we had to wait about 18 minutes after our reservation. The room is pretty cramped due to the length of the table, but it was cute and cozy. The max amount of people is 12 in this room. I had the taste of Ireland, which gives you three dishes in sample size: shepherds pie, beef stew & chicken pot pie. For $19.00 (kind of steep) it was okay. You can tell that there's a lot of pride, and it has a "just like mama used to make" method of cooking. Seems like they take a lot of pride in all of their dishes. It seems that everybody truly enjoyed their dishes, even the ones that had salad. Again, it was really nice that we were able to have our very own room. I would certainly come back and have the corned beef and cabbage meal; that's what my mother had and she said it was great. The only negative thing I would say is that our waitress seemed like she was a bit annoyed, having to wait on a large group and we needed to split our checks. Other than that I felt that our service was sufficient.

Overall I found the entire experience to be lackluster compared to how it was in previous years. The first thing we saw when we arrived was the hostess and I was shocked by her outfit. Her dress was far too short and not appropriate at all for a holiday or the level of upscale dining we were paying for. We were seated immediately but then service dragged. We got bread long before our drinks. Our first course came quickly but the soups were lukewarm at best. I had the apple salad and found it to be extremely refreshing and not at all what I expected but in a good way! The star of the meal was dinner, however, they gave me the wrong side. The waiter did quickly remedy the situation but again for this level of dining I expected better. The prime rib was absolutely out of this world. The herb crust was amazing. However I was quite disappointed with the presentation it was dropped on top of the mashed potatoes and bled over everything. My mother had the thanksgiving dinner and she loved it. She especially liked the sausage stuffing which is not something she would normally eat and was impressed by it. The desserts were average and to be honest I again expected better. For three people we paid about $450. If I am spending that much money on dinner I want to be floored by the entire experience and I just wasn't. If I'm being completely honest the prime rib saved this review. So I hope the chefs get credit for it!!
