She was a blonde woman with glasses....hey I didn't catch her name, but she did make an executive decision to give me exemplary Customer Service and she appreciated my patience as I did hers. This is our favorite restaurant in the area. The food is always so good! We usually make a reservation, but this time we forgot so we were able to do the waitlist option. On this occasion, I ordered the haddock with mashed potatoes and mashed carrots and turnip. It was fantastic and reminded me of a savory home cooked meal. For a beverage, I ordered the Jackson Sunset, which was very refreshing. My son ordered the pot roast, which he enjoyed but he liked the shepherds pie he got last time more. And the place is huge! Once again a wonderful experience. A lovely Easter Sunday with the family. So accommodating and great service for our party of 12. We had a reservation and were arrested quickly and with smiles, even though they were very busy. We had the pleasure of lunch after a sleigh ride at Nestlenook in December. Same pretty of 12, no reservation, but we're seated promptly and enjoyed every minute! The food was perfect. From the easter buffet, to the regular menu. We will be back! Highly recommend. Our group of 6 had 5:15 reservations Friday evening. Lots of empty tables when we arrived but it filled quickly as expected. Service was slow, there didn't seem to be enough staff as was the case everywhere we went in the No. Conway area over the 4 days we were up there. My husband ordered the fish sandwich and got the chicken sandwich (with tarter sauce). It took about 20 minutes for our waiter to return to check on us, at which time the problem was corrected quickly. Everybody else was pretty much done eating while my husband tried to quickly eat his meal. The rest of the food everybody ordered was good, the grandchildren were happy with their kids meals. Drinks were good, but again it took a long time for them to arrive. There just doesn't seem to be enough help in any of the food service establishments up there. Wait staff were running ragged everywhere we went. I don't blame the workers or the establishments, it's just a commentary on how much help there is available. This spot is the go to for anyone in the know. They open at 4 and close at 9. Recommend going at open or plan you dinner just past dinner time for faster seating. Although the restaurant quite large it is very busy. The only question you"ll ask yourself is how do they get all the orders perfect. Extremely reasonably priced for the quality and fast service. When we are in North Conway area we always make a point to come to the red fox! 1 - it's one of the very few places you can get on the Yelp waitlist! Which is awesome and I wish every restaurant used!!! 2 - the menu is big enough for everyone to find something! 3 - the food is delicious!!! Their sides are different and so good! The mashed turnip and carrot is so good!!!! And the roasted beets! I'm sad I didn't take more pics!!! Next time!!!! The panzanella salad is out of this world! We always share it as a group - the herb vinaigrette is delicious! The ribeye was cooked perfectly! We had a group of 11 and everyone was happy! I already can't wait to go back!! We came across Red Fox on Yelp after a hike in the White Mountains. We were SO hungry! Lots to choose from on their menu with diverse flavors! We ordered the pear salad, lobster wontons, chicken wings, a pepperoni pizza, and the scallop dinner. Everything was AMAZING! Some notes: Salad - the pecans had a very interesting flavor - maybe curry! So tasty with the dried fruit and goat cheese. Lobster wontons - wow! Loved the chipotle sauce and the crunch of the wonton. Pepperoni pizza- the dough was perfect and they use giant pepperoni. I asked for a side of ranch dressing and I'm glad I did. Def homemade! Scallop dinner - this was my hubby's - I tasted the mashed potatoes and they were some of the best I've had. I was not expecting that - ate half! They also have a little store inside and we got a slice of peanut butter pie. It was super silky. I would def recommend this place. Where to begin with this incredible place. All Pros: Sam our server was probably the best server we have encountered and we dine out often. He was so attentive and helpful. We started with an app of potato skins that included steak tips. They were smothered with Vermont cheese and just delicious. This alone would have been enough for dinner. We also had a glass of lovely red wine with this. One of the entrees we tried was the steak tips and ribs, gouda mashed potato's and fresh green beans with parmesan. When I tell you the meat was so different it's an understatement. The meat was tender, full of flavor and each bite got better and better. We also tried the steak tips and shrimp screwer with same sides. I can honestly say we have never had such a scrumptious meal. They also served lovely bread with our meal. Mashed potatoes with gouda cheese is just devine! We were seated on the patio and got lucky with getting a table as there was a long wait. When we saw all the people waiting we understood why. This was such a wonderful meal and we still talk about how delicious the food was. The view from the patio was enjoyable and relaxing. I can't wait to return. read more
