Nice Irish restaurant. Very quirky/divey on the inside. Service was good. I got sat on the booth side which was little uncomfortable, too high up from the table. Live music most nights which was nice, the guy didn't take a break the entire time we were there! Well poured Guinness. I got the pizza which was New England cracker pub style pizza, I believe - it was pretty damn good pizza and ranch for your crust. What can I say about this place but.. WOW!! Stopped in after an afternoon of hiking and found it was right across the street from our hotel. The atmosphere in this pub was so very welcoming and fun. It was a busy dinner service but besides the full tables you never know it because the servers were spot on with providing drinks and attention! We sat near the little stage and enjoyed some good ole Irish singing with our delicious meals. We sat next to a younger couple out on their date night who were originally from Massachusetts and said this was their go to place and I can totally see why. My burger was perfectly cooked and the fries were yummy. I saw some good looking pizzas go by too. Maybe next time I'm in town I'll try them. Definitely will be getting back read more

We were in Jackson last month and Shannon's was so good we ate there twice. The first night we went there was live music and it was crowded but we only waited a couple of minutes for a table. The place was lively. Lots of families and locals. In fact a local couple next to us recommended the pizza and I am so glad they did. It was great. Somewhat busy. We added our name and had a seat at the bar. Approximately 15 minutes later the host sat us at a table. Not sure what happened after that but we were completely ignored. 20 minutes goes by and no service. Large group of people show up, get seated and order taken. We ended up walking out. read more

A great old school pub just outside of Jackson Village on Rt 16. Shannon Door has been around forever and has cold beer, good food at reasonable prices and live music most nights. The haddock with ritz cracker topping is quite good and only around $18. The pizza is also good New England Greek style. It's always a good stop. read more

We went here on a fairly busy Thursday night but all the same the service was almost non-existent. The bartenders don't seem to be annoyed that they are busy and I felt like if you are not a regular they just pass by you and check on their regulars.- at least our 2 bartenders did. The food is basic pub food. The bar pizza isn't the traditional south shore of Mass style, but it is very good and I would go back for this.The prices are reasonable. Despite the bartender staring the kitchen is backed up when we ordered, the food came out pretty fast. The bar gets busy fast and they have a overflow/waiting area with merchandise next to it. I'm not easily offended by busy places, so I will go back when in the area. read more

Went a few weeks ago, party of 8 on a Monday evening. The music was loud and the two guys singing were just not good.....everyone agreed their food was all over cooked, fried to death and not tasty at all. We were there for a week and all agreed we would not be back again. The next night we ordered Pizza from Market Basket and it was a better meal. read more

I had always passed by this place but never stopped in, until just a few days ago, when I was staying at the Wildcat Inn. The Wildcat Inn restaurant (and inn) was having a major staffing issue, so the restaurant was closed, so I finally decided to try the Shannon Pub, and I ended up finding a gem! There was live music daily, and the food was quite decent, especially the pizza. Got the garlic and sausage pizza, and it was really flavorful. Lots of local people kept the place hopping, even on weekdays. Will be stopping here again! read more

Went to the Shannon Door Pub on Monday. It was recommended and we were told they do not take reservations and there will be a line to get in before it opens. That was true, it opened at 4 and by the time the doors opened there were at least 50 people outside. We were a party of 7 and there were 2 parties of 17 behind us. We were seated right next to the door, someone from our party asked if we could be seated closer to the bar and was told No...OK? Now to the food, burgers were dry and nothing on them (ie lettuce tomato mustard...) bun nothing special, fries pretty good. Pizza...not good maybe even frozen. Buffalo wings, I thought were good, they were so hot you could smell them from across the room when someone else ordered them. Most in my party felt they were too hot to eat. I ordered French onion soup which was good, not great. The winning dinner was the pot roast, no complaints there. Probably will not go back. read more

TLDR: cute little family Irish pub. Had a great time here on Saturday night. Got a place to seat and some down to earth food. They had some pseudo live music going on - there were two guys with guitars playing music along with a background track doing oldie hits. Lively place good for the price. Check it Update: Came back several years later and I still love this place. Families eat here and staff are responsive. I loved the live music. This time around we had a sweet guy playing classics like Jim Croce with his acoustic guitar. Dan Aldrich was his name and he was phenomenal. read more

We were staying in North Conway and wanted a restaurant out of the town. We found Shannon Door. The food was great! I had the fish and chips. The fish was cooked perfectly with a crunchy battered outside and delectable inside. My wife had the chicken parm and raved about it. The live music was tasteful 60s - 80s rock done acoustically. the singer was very good, and the music was loud enough to here but not so loud that you could not here the person you are with. Dirty, dark and depressing. The bar was empty and sticky; we chose two seats on the short side of the bar. One seat was right up against the trash can so we chose two seats away from it. A snippy woman made us move down incase three more people showed up and wanted to sit in the three seats directly next to us. Out of 10 empty barstools.... The wine was priced cheap and the menu was too, but after looking through the kitchen window and seeing an old dude in a wife beater handling food barehanded we decided not to eat there. My family has been going here for decades, and it's become a tradition to go here one week on our yearly vacation. The service has slowly been deteriorating. Last year, take out was cold and this year bartenders and owners were rude. I even reached out privately to owner to hopefully recieve some explanation or apology. Instead, she gave excuses and clearly does not want my family's business any longer. Very good crack (sp?) here at this pub. And the prices are very reasonable for this area. This is a very authentic Irish pub with traditional foods, a great beer selection, and live music. I am visiting at the end of May, and so the music today is not Irish, but a good duet none the less. Hopefully the music will bend towards Ireland when the pandemic is over. The service was grand from the minute you walk in to the time you leave. My Guinness never ran dry during my stay ! Chaotic when we walked in, waitress was an airhead. We had small personal pizza and a wrap with one beer and one wine. She gave us the bill and it was 88.00. Never occurred to her the bill was out of the ballpark. I think she knew it was and wanted to see if we noticed. Most tourists don't question the bill. After I brought it to her attention, she said she charged us twice for the pizza. She was definitely lying as the Pizza is about 12.00. Then she changed her story and made up another excuse. I can comfortably say, she intentionally adds things to the bill of tourists and tries to get away with it in an effort to get bigger tips. When this was taken to her boss, her boss knew she made no sense and apologized. She took off the drinks and rectified the bill to 29.00. I don't know how this waitress can have a conscience ripping off the public trying to make a living. read more

I really try to always find the positive in every review I do. I never want to put bad words about anyones business, ever. Especially in a time when things are tough all around for lots of people. I'm giving this place three stars for that reason. The people and the service were completely adequate. The food was completely adequate and fair. Nothing was bad or horrible and we didn't have an awful time. It just wasn't anything to get super pumped about. We got cheddar and broccoli bites to start that were served with sweet and sour sauce. The middles were a bit cold but manageable. Not great but I was starving so they did disappear pretty quickly. The Shepards pie was greasy, standard, and ok but again, it wasn't outstanding, and for an Irish pub. The mashed potato's seemed like maybe they were instant. Yikes. All in all the trip was successful and adequate but nothing to really write home about... we probably wouldn't be back but it wasn't terrible either. They also didn't have a huge menu and the place itself could use a bit of a pick me up. It was pretty slow but it was also a Tuesday afternoon. It was cheese, sauce and undercooked frozen eggplant slices on thin sloppy dough. Shepards pie had absolutely no taste. No salt, no spice, frozen corn...nothing redeeming. Best thing were the fries. Went last night. Parking was terrible there. Got lucky found a parking spot. Parking was tight. As for the meal not great. Ordered a Stuffie and pepperoni pizza with my date. The stuffie was cold. Ate a piece of it. Told the wait staff it was cold. And they made a fuzz over it. And what they did instead of getting me a new stuffie. The poped it in the microwave and gave me the same one back. Did not take off my check for being cold. The waitress came over and said I heard you complain about the stuffie. She was not polite at all.
