I stopped in for a quick lunch before a long hiking weekend. We were staying at the Omni resort and there aren't a ton of options within 30 minutes that were open at 11am on a Friday in the shoulder season. Reparo was and it hit the spot! I don't know if my husband and I were just starving after a long day of toting our toddler twins around Santa's Village, but the food here really hit the spot. We ordered take out and our toddlers devoured the sides of rice and beans like they hadn't eaten in days. Even though we didn't get to eat our dinner till after the kids finally went to bed it was still amazing lukewarm. My husband got the La Gringa quesadilla and I got the Carnitas Tacos. Both were delicious. The meat was so tender and flavorful. The salsa was spicy but added great flavor. And the chips! They were massive and delicious with the salsa. Last-minute find for a hungry family after visiting Mt Washington. As Texans, we are Mexican food mavens, and this place would be a hit anywhere in Texas. Everything was excellent, from the chips and salsa (very generous portions) to the margaritas and tacos. I had the Enchiladas Suizas, and I'd put them equal to better than any I've ever had. Sides of pico and sour cream were huge, not stingy. Everything about the dining room was clean, neat, and beautifully (and tastefully) decorated. The owners not only know what they're doing, but they put great care into everything they do. If we lived locally, it would rapidly become our go-to family favorite. read more

Had a great time at El Reparo on Saturday night. We showed up at 6 PM and even though the place was packed, we were able to be seated in about 5 minutes. The decor was enjoyable and the wait staff was attentive and did an excellent job. I had the jalapeños locos (jalapeños stuffed with cheese and wrapped in bacon) as well as the molcajete entree and chicken lettuce wrap entree. The molcajete came with steak, chicken, shrimp, cactus, and jalapeno as well as pico de gallo, lettuce, sour cream, and cheese on the side (I ordered it without rice, beans, or tortilla). It was incredibly flavorful and left me satiated! The chicken lettuce wrap was a little on the blander side, I was hoping for some more spice to it, but definitely a good choice if you're trying to eat lower carbs. Next time I'm very interested to try the brochetas! Definitely recommend this place if you're in the area! read more

My second visit to El Reparo. The food was really amazing and everything I had hoped for. I was a weekly customer at La Casita in Berlin and have been missing that place and the people terribly. I really enjoy the menu at both locations and will continue to come to El Reparo dispute the terrible service. It took over ten minutes for someone to come by our table and ask about drinks. The server would walk off before we had the chance to finish asking for what we needed or wanted. NA beer and cheese dip was how we started. The cheese dip was wonderful. Then ordered our meals that also came out just perfect. With the meal I ordered I really needed extra napkins and there was no one in sight to even ask for a napkin. It wasn't a busy time of day and there were at least three servers. I am very disappointed by the lack of service. The food made up for it and I will try again in hopes this was just an off day. read more
