Fry Cook 101 is don't burn the fries. This was likely intentional. Either way it's sad.

Apparently, this is what passes for decent food around here but pretty much anywhere else this place would be empty. But here as long as you don't mind being bitten to death by mosquitoes or sitting on hard wooden benches it's pretty much the only burger stand around. My wife wanted shrimp and fries, when I got back to the hotel room we realized they didn't include any tartar sauce or cocktail sauce which automatically goes with any fried shrimp meal at a fast food place on earth. The shrimp, were soggy anyway since they don't know how to ventilate or cut a hole in the top of their cardboard containers for fried food. I had eaten the coleslaw -- or at least tried to -- but it basically consisted of puréed cabbage, and some sugar. The texture was slimy and it lacked any flavor or seasoning. I wouldn't be writing this review, but when I went back, although they were kind enough to offer a replacement meal, (they get two stars instead of one star because of that gesture) I am virtually certain that the cook intentionally burned the living hell out of the french fries. (Or they're entirely incompetent) I wasn't in the mood to argue so I just left, but the picture here speaks for itself.

Reasonably priced. Quick service. Food were decent. The poutine is more like just fries with gravy and shredded cheese. Generous portion. If you are looking for a good simple quick meal and happen to be in the area, this place is worth stopping by.

We pulled up to this place and had second thoughts. The outside looks kind of dumpy but we also know those are often the best places! Glad we took a chance and went inside. Food was great especially the French fries.

Awesome Food - Farm to Table

Last time we were here on vacation 2 years ago we found this small restaurant on the side of the road. It was so small we passed it by twice. So we gave it a try and glad we did. All the food seems to be farm to table, very fresh. Since we were back in the are we had to go again and it did not disappoint. My wife and I ordered the Crispy Chicken Caesar Wrap, mine with Onion Rings hers with fries, my daughter had the Garden Salad with Buffalo Chicken. All she kept saying was how fresh her meal was, my other daughter had Grilled Cheese with Fries. All our food was awesome. Last time I had the Boom Boom Burger 2 years ago, also awesome. When we arrived there was a line outside for take out, luckily they had indoor seating available. Many locals know of this place because the food is so good. Even though they were very busy and we were strangers from out of town they treated like they knew us. Service was pleasant and efficient. We had to wait a little while for our food because they were so busy with take out and well worth it. If you are ever in the area I highly recommend Frazer's Place. If we find ourselves in the area again we will definitely be back.

I read all the reviews and thought let's go! The menu had many creative sounding options of sandwiches and burgers. I was also swayed to go because there were photos of crispy, thin onion rings in the reviews. We had a burger/fries and the chicken/bacon/cheese sandwich with onion rings. Both sandwiches came with lettuce, tomato and onions that were plump and juicy fresh. The chicken pineapple bacon cheese sandwich was juicy and tasted pretty good but nothing I'd say let's go get that again. The burger was also juicy and cooked well but again nothing I'd need to repeat. The hand cut fries were pretty good and had the skin on. The onion rings were the big disappointment and had a thick, mealy breading that fell apart and off the rings as we tried to dip them in the sauce. The service was friendly and the locale was pretty nostalgic in terms of growing up in the 70's. There was indoor booth and counter seating as well as outdoor picnic tables in the nearby field and near the counter. Cute place but won't be back even though we are local. There are so many better choices nearby.

Classic Bacon cheeseburger and waffle fries... cooked just the way I like it. Med rare

My brother had a lemonade. We started with an order of calamari. I then had the chicken parm while my brother had the ribs. He swears it was the best he ever had. I got a piece of carrot cake to go and ate it when I got back to our hotel. Everything was fresh and delicious. We even got a surprise as a train passed and shook the whole dining room. We were happy to listened to him that the half portion is a good size for 1 person. Between the 4 of us, we ordered steamed mussels, half speghetti and meatballs, half chicken ala vodka, and grilled salmon. Before dinner, we were served with warm bread with maple butter - that was sooo good. All the dishes were solid, but our fav was the homemade strawberry apple crisp. They hit it out of the park, delicious!! Even with the half orders, we still had leftovers of the speghetti to take home. Reasonably priced, you won't be disappointed.

Absolutely mind blown…read more I have made numerous ski trips this way and always seen this place tucked away in the corner of my eye when approaching the intersection. No cell service so couldn't look up anything prior to entering. Lovely little diner, please remember to shut the door as you enter as it doesn't close. I made my way to the counter and started really looking at everything around the place. Personally could have kept all the political stuff out but I was here for food. Liked all the books off the side as well as the dinosaur toys. The message that is placed in front of you tell a good story, and they're not wrong one bit. Enjoy the company around you. I was blown away with the size of the blueberry pancake, and I was warned. Never have I taken a pancake to go because I didn't finish it. I had some corn beef hash too so that filled me up a bit, but this thing is massive! Definitely could've taken it down in my college days. I will have to come back to try and defeat it again. Anyways, I did enjoy my corn beef hash too, very potato driven. All and all, happy I finally popped in. Don't know when the next time I'll be back, but it is now on my radar of places to stop when ready for pancakes!

The diner is very small inside and decorated with political extremism. I thought the set up was funny, unique, and provided great conversation topics. However, the food is what made me dislike the diner. First off, the waitress dipped her hand in the coffee and didn't replace it with a new one. Was given attitude after asking for a new coffee. Then after that, the coffee ended up being the worst tasting diner coffee I've ever had (it was $6 as well!!!). I ordered the world domination breakfast and was disappointed. The only good part of the experience were the pancakes, which were very delicious. Didn't finish the other food outside of the pancakes. Was very surprised after reading the reviews.

Ascutney for a week and decided to have a low-key night and have dinner at the onsite restaurant, The Maple Kitchen. It was a slow Sunday night and no reservations needed. The restaurant only had the bar tender manning the bar and the tables. He was very nice but the wait was long... luckily we were in vacation mode so we didn't mind the wait. While we were waiting for the food, we were enjoying the Moscow Mule made by the bartender. He poured all his drinks to the rim, it was great! They only had 2 things on tap: Switchback ale and Harpoon hard cider, but they were solid brews. It took about 45 minutes before our entrees were served and we started to think this may be a mistake. Boy were we wrong in the best way. The lobster bisque dip came with 2 rolls of warm bread already buttered on the outside...soft center with the creamy dip spread over it was so scrumptious. The lamb chop was cooked to perfection and had a orzo chickpea side that can be a main dish in itself. The duck was cooked with crispy skin on, very tender and also came with a delicious rice pilaf. We also had the half chicken breast dish which was perfectly seasoned, juicy! Came with a mushroom and spinach stir fry and mashed potatoes was more like creamy scalloped potato. We were completely stuffed but wanted to try a dessert because the food was just amazing. We shared a raspberry white chocolate cheesecake that did not make it in my photo because we finished it so quickly. Definitely come here, you will not be disappointed.
