This is my daughter's favorite, we have ventured to several food trucks trying this and I would say Gringos did a great job. If you can stop by this month this is a must! I don't usually leave yelp reviews but I felt obligated to do so today. We stopped in for lunch as we do so often and had a new waitress I think her name was Kylie, she was doing her best but as everyone knows there is a learning curve at a new job. She was sweet and had a smile on the whole time. There were some hiccups here and there that are understandable for a new waitress. The star of the show was jasmine, she recognized us as regulars and made sure she swooped in when she noticed the hiccups. Overall the experience is why we love Gringos Jasmine was able to use us to coach Kylie and help her become a great waitress. I love the team work and appreciate the great food. Speaking of the food I had the Pacifico shrimp my wife had beef fajita and my mother in law had the chicken enchiladas. Everything was delicious. read more

I usually go to Gringos Stafford, but I recently visited this restaurant. I like how it's spacious, and the overall experience was very nice. The waitress was very friendly, and my mom and I enjoyed the meal there. Food was really tasty, and the green sauce is the most awesome (as usual). We got the fajita chicken meal for one, and the only bummer is the less number of tortillas given (but we did order the fajitas for one, but we like to split the tortilla into two) but the waitress got us more upon our request without any hesitation. We also got the chicken fajitas quesadillas which were yummy too. Everything was fresh and I couldn't stop eating! I'm thinking about my next visit already! I did have to do a U-turn on the feeder and it took some time when traffic keeps going, and then have to change lanes quickly to get into the parking of the the restaurant, but that's just my driving annoyance, it's not gonna stop me from visiting! read more

What's the hype? Gringo's just another typical tex-mex chain. Their salsa taste too factory, almost pecante like and not fresh. Enchiladas were also average at best. This is my second time going to Gringo's, first time at this location, and I must say this place is beautiful and live the decor. The vibrance and energy of the place was fun and happy. All the employees were nice and energetic and helpful. We didn't have to wait long and was serviced promptly and effectively. The chips with that cilantro sauce and salsa is just so delicious and addicting! The prices here are affordable and reasonable and you get a good portion. Last time i went to Gringo's i ordered a salad which was ok, but this time I ordered a pulled pork quesadilla and OMG. WOW. Guys, the meat was just superior. It was out of this world delicous. We're regulars here. We used to drive to Sugar Land for our Gringo's "fix"... but now there's one in our back yard. We've never had a bad experience here - not with food or service. I've got to post a review about our visit last night (June 21, 2023). We had a new waitress, Isabella, who informed us that we were her 2nd table, and she was fresh from training. She had a great smile and personality, and was well- versed in the menu. We found out quickly who her 1st table was - a group right next to us who obviously had been drinking, and they were shouting obscenities ...seemingly unaware of the young children around. The manager, Sam, took things quickly under control, escorted the unruly patrons out, then returned to reassure hits remaining customers. Isabella was secure in her service throughout the ideal. All in all, another happy ending...topped off (as always) by the free ice cream in the way out. I've been visiting this restaurant for over 2 years . We always sit/dine at the bar and have great service, food and drinks. Last week we had a friend with us and couldn't find a place at the bar so had to get a table. The service on a table compared to the service at the bar is night and day. I always get a frozen margarita. By the time the server got my drink to the table, it wasn't frozen anymore . We order some chicharrones for our Queso Loco and it took forever to get them . Our main course was Pacifico shrimp without rice and tortilla but with charro beans and butter sauce. Huge meal! Delicious! Enough for two meals. He cares for his guest like he is Serbian food at his home. I asked how long he been working for the company because I knew his charisma and ability to serve was SPLENDID. He literally represents this company well. Our guest table was 4 people and we all were nurses so you know how much we needed this outing. He made us feel so important. He recognized anything when something was missing and he was just EXCELLENT EXCELLENT EXCELLENT. I have been to this location 5 times and this is bar far the BEAT. Normally, as frequent customers of Gringos, I would be leaving an above average or 5 star review. However, our recent experience was anything but. On Super Bowl Sunday, my husband and I decided to go there for an early dinner and some cocktails. We get seated, the waitress takes our drink order which was top shelf and on the more expensive side of things, takes our appetizer order and later returns telling us they are closing at 4 pm. Mind you, no sign was posted, the greeter did not tell us and we had arrived to Gringos at 345 pm. What the heck? We, at that point, now received expensive drinks that we felt we could not enjoy. We cancelled the appetizers and now needed to rethink our plans for finding somewhere else to go for dinner. The waitress made us feel very uncomfortable and rushed. While, we understand wanting to close early for Super Bowl, what we don't understand and what proved costly to us was that the restaurant did not post a sign on front door advising patrons of their 4 pm closing nor did the greeter inform us. The final nail was us placing an expensive order and being told of closing afterwards. Therefore, needless to say, I can only offer a rating of 1 star for this very negative experience. Shame on you, Gringo's. Communication is key and very important to your patrons. This was a costly experience for us and one that we could not enjoy. We are so disappointed. read more

Our new FAVORITE MEXICAN RESTAURANT! We always went to Lupes Mexican but now we will be coming here. Visited two weeks ago on a late Saturday afternoon. Was seated right away in a booth by a window(loved that). Our server JOSHUA appeared smiling and friendly and asked what we wanted to drink. Promptly got 2 kinds of salsas and chips. This is the very first time I could eat and liked both. One was red tomato, very good and the other a creamy green salsa. Neither one burned my mouth at all. Server said if we wanted more spicy he would go get us some. The chips were perfect. Fresh, crunchy not too thick or too thin. As we munched on our chips and salsa we studied the menu. They have some regular Tex-Mex but they advertised a special call "TACOS AL PASTOR". Our server recommended it too. It came out with pork sliced like fajitas sizzling in a skillet. Looked like chicken. Also got a pretty platter of sliced avocado, 6 small corn tortillas, onion, mex rice, grilled pineapple w/cilantro and lime with a choice of beans which we got Borrachos. Whatever spices used to cook this meat was absolutely outstanding!! I have never tasted anything so delicious like this in a long time. They were not overpowering at all, just right. I'm one who usually keeps ordering the same dish like cheese enchiladas but decided to try something different. I would highly recommend this dish. We saved room for dessert because JOSHUA said they had awesome sopapillas. I got all excited as had not had them for years. When they came out man they did not disappoint! The presentation was so pretty! Had cinnamon sugar, caramel and chocolate drizzled on them with a side cup of a very good honey you dip them in. We ate them all. My taste buds were satisfied. What topped off our wonderful meal was our wonderful server JOSHUA! You have to ask for him. He's so nice and easy to converse with. He can help you to order just the right thing. Tried Gringos today for the first time. Quite impressed actually! Sat at the bar as the wait for a lunchtime table was too long. The bar area is great and the seats comfortable. The chips and salsa were really good whilst we waited to order. I tried the Fajita Bowl with a small Cadillac Margarita. Both were great! The margarita was only $7 and the beef in the fajita bowl was excellent. As I was driving I just had one margarita and the bar tender gave me a free Coke Zero when I said I couldn't have another. Me and a friend went on a Saturday soon after they opened at 11 (wise decision). I had not ate at Gringo's in a while so I forgot how the wait could be. It is in a great location right in front of Costco off of 10 &99. Since we got there so early there was no wait and soon after being seated our waiter Tye greeted us. He provided us with water and granted us enough time to decide what we wanted, he also was very patient as my friend had never been so she had some questions about the menu. The food was very flavorful and it had a good amount of portion to everything ordered. The restaurant itself was pretty clean and well managed. The staff service was a little slow but it was not too the point where we had to complain etc. Only reason why I am giving this a 4/5 is because of the wait time. We were told that we would be seated in 15-20 min but ended up waiting closer to 40 min in total for 4 people.
