Whenever we go to Seafood City, we always have to stop by Grill City! My husband and I both love the chicken skewers. My husband always craves their fish sinigang and i love their silogs! OOH and that fried chicken skin -- soo bad for you but so irresistible! It does help that the staff is friendly. Manager Verne is always a pleasure to see! He makes ordering party packages easy and simple. We've followed him since he worked elsewhere and only order our catering orders from him! Bought a 4-pack of pork asada siopao for $7.50 among with other items. When my kids opened the tray that evening the siopao had mold on it!!! I called the next day and told them that I want a refund and can bring the item back on Monday. When I went to return it, they asked for a receipt and I told them I don't keep food receipts because I never have any intention of returning food items. Grill City was nice enough to correct it by refunding my money but they had to do the refund back to my card. I am hoping that it doesn't take too long for the refund to hit my account but I will update this post if it does not refund by the end of the week. The food here is good, pretty authentic tic and tasty for the most part. It is located inside the supermarket similar to a food court in a mall. Don't expect great service. It's a cafeteria style set up. You get in line, get the food you want and pay the cashier at the end. It's probably best for the times you don't want to cook and just take some food home. Eating there will not be a great dining experience unless earing at a mall food court is your thing. read more

Whenever I stop by Seafood City I go to Grill City. I always get the same thing; grilled chicken skewers, pancit, lumpia and turon. I've never had any complaints about my food, except that the pancit barely has any shrimp in it. Every time I've stopped by the food has been good. read more

A slightly-beyond-fast-food Philippine restaurant in the small food court outside the Seafood City supermarket. The grill part consists of skewered barbecue chicken, pork, or longganisa (as they spell it here); also grilled tilapia, chicken inasal, pork liempo, squid, bangus, and pompano, served with two big scoops of white rice. Also many of the standard Philippine dishes served from a steam table. We tried the barbecued chicken and pork, and their dinuguan. The latter is more mildly spiced than some versions, and definitely not for those who are squeamish about organ meat. (Dinuguan, like haggis, is one of those dishes where you're probably better off not reading the recipe.) I personally prefer the all-muscle-meat version a few miles away at Cabalen in Hercules, though I realize that that's arguably less authentic. Also tried: pancit palabok and bibingka. No surprises, and no complaints; the barbecue was good enough that we got four more skewers to go. Also features an assortment of silog breakfasts, served until 10 AM. read more

We were very excited when this place opened up, unfortunately it was very upsetting after eating here. On a good note, the staff members are very polite. However, the pancit bihon was spoiled and the food wasn't very tasty. I returned the bihon for palabok and ended up just throwing it away. Very overpriced for what they serve. Want to place a catering order & get your order on time? Then order from somewhere else. Requested a catering order to be ready by 12 & I didn't receive it until 1. Gave my receipts to one worker & never seen him again. Then another worker asked if I had a certain order & explained he gave mine to someone else. Another worker comes by and tells me there's a problem because one of my receipts for my order is missing and that there was nothing he can do. Overall a terrible experience. The food may have tasted decent, but it was definitely not worth the trouble. They didn't even seem to care that they completely messed up my order. Lechon, which was the only appetizing looking dish, turned out to be disgusting afterall, no skin & fried in old oil. My mother waited 35 minutes for her food and she was not given any warning that it would take that long. I noticed that the person who handled my food without gloves also handled the money. THE RECYCLED BBQ MYSTERY I went there this afternoon and saw Dinakdakan dish. I'm not familiar with the dish - I mean, how it's cook or what ingredients are in there but I've tried it at one of my friend's party and he said he bought it from Grill City at Vallejo. It tastes good especially with an ice cold beer. So, I bought a large bowl but I've noticed that the cuts are a bit bigger than what I have had before, I've asked the lady about the cuts and she said there are two cooks and probably it was the new cook who did it, so it was different from before. I went home and heat it up and got an ice cold beer but lo and behold, the meat was hard and chewy, the sauce taste the same but the meat was really really chewy. My wife looked at it and said, these are recycled BBQ, you can see the cut and the charring from the grill. I googled Dinakdakan and saw that the meat was really supposed to be grilled after boiling but only to get that grill taste and not to cook it as it was already cooked from boiling. I looked at it and yes, the meat were BBQ cuts and I can see the charring on the skin and meat, and definitely it was a recycled BBQ, that's why it was chewy as in a day or two old (or who knows how many days) chewy. I was thinking, so, did they wash the meat to get the BBQ taste and the charring out of the meat? Ewwww...whoever is managing that Grill should be FIRED with a capital F and the nerve of the Lady who tried to hide their spiteful recycling act. A word of advice to the Manager, you're not helping your restaurant, you're actually burning it to the ground, you're sending customers away, do you think I'll still buy from you again?...hell no and I'll spread the word to my 8 other siblings and hundreds of Filipino friends who lives in Vallejo. A few dollars savings on the recycled BBQ is not worth it. STAY AWAY FROM THIS RESTAURANT...I'm now thinking about the Cleanliness and Hygiene practices too on how they prepare their food.... read more

We went to this restaurant after we attended a funeral mass. I just wanted to try it. What a terrible experience!! The food smell attracted me to it but I wish I could say the food was as good as the smell. The food was just average but what made my experience terrible was one server named Verne who may be a manager in the restaurant. He was short with customers and impatient especially with a few Filipino older people who could not speak very good English. I am very particular with service people demeanor so I would call him rude. He was quite harsh with the other workers around him as he almost scolded them when things were not quite to his expectation. He complained constantly as he checked out customers at the register. Definitely, not a place I would go back to in case I run into this guy again!!!!!!!! read more
