Chicken sandwich with extra pickles- yum
Angelica G.

Went through the drive thru to pick up dinner for my mom and I. She wanted a two piece and a biscuit. I opted for the chicken sandwich with extra pickles. We didn't have to wait long. The employee was nice. My mom wanted strawberry jam and they provided more than 2 packets for just one biscuit. (Thank you!) I was pleased with my sandwich. When I got home, It was still hot and crunchy. I appreciated the extra pickles too. I like how they were thick slices because it gives a little acidity and extra crunch to the sandwich. Overall, it was a good experience.

Popeyes will never get another dollar out of me. I ordered Popeyes for the first time today. I activated an Uber eats account and got a $25 certificate towards my first order. So I decided to try Popeyes. I ordered 12 wings on a BOGO deal (6 piece order - buy one get one), a side of rice and beans and cajun fries for my son and I. Came to $31, but with my first time discount of $25, it was only around $6 including delivery. Good deal, right? WRONG! It was terrible. I would be embarrassed if I were the Popeyes corporation. Holy Sh*t. The rice and beans were regularly $4.95, and they came in a tiny little container that only took maybe three bites to finish. It would be comical if it weren't true. The "boneless wings" were more like scraps that had a poorly seasoned sauce thrown at them. And I got a buy one get one deal...to think they actually charge TWICE this much normally is freakin' unbelievable! The fries were soggy and awful. It was absolutely the worst fast food order I have ever had. I feel completely ripped off, and I only paid $6! If I would have had to pay $31 for the complete crap order I received...and I'm serious...I would have acted in a way that might've gotten me in trouble. It was a terrible deal, at a ridiculous price, for an awful meal. I don't do fast food very much, and I was reminded today just why. I'll never, ever go to Popeye's again. Ever. If you must eat out, do yourself a favor and go anywhere but Popeye's. A complete rip-off.

Delivered by Julia B. Hope the food tasted badly once you dropped it off

I just ordered through the app and the person delivering the food went way across town, and said the food was handed off. Not cool for chicken that isn't even that good! Never ordering Popeyes again after a second bad experience. And when I called the resteraunt the manager hung up in my face.

Cajun Fries

I have grown up eating Popeyes often living so close to this location off of Sonoma and Lewis Brown drive. There's always a long drive thru line in this plaza that it's sometimes faster going in and ordering. The workers are very efficient and fast. My family always gets a family meal with chicken, they're chicken fresh is always really crispy and juicy, I prefer Popeyes over KFC and Church's but that's just me. I like the skin and juiciness of the chicken pieces and meat. As for sides my family likes getting Cole slaw, mashed potatoes, and Cajun fries. Their biscuits are also good fresh or pop them in the toaster and just add some honey. Right now they have beignets for a limited time. They're filled with rich Hershey's chocolate and coated with tons of powdered sugar so it's really messy to eat so be prepared. I personally thought they were good, on the sweater side and comparable to Disneyland beignets for a cheaper cost too! You can get like 6 or more for a reasonable price too. I would recommend trying them. I think I even like them better than some Cajun places and restaurants.

Drive through experience was less than friendly but the chicken sandwich was really good. Chicken was cooked to perfection.

The chicken taste usually. The fries was bland not Cajun. There was no diversity which is strange considering the town is multicultural.

I was in the Vallejo area, and saw House of Soul on Yelp. It was 1.5 miles away, but closing in less than an hour. I decided to go by and see it they were still serving. I wasn't really expecting much 45 mins before closing. I parked right in front, and saw they were cleaning up the dining room. So I asked the young lady if they were still open, and she said "Yes, c'mon in!" I ordered the fried chicken combo meal with mac 'n cheese and green beans. Total was $20.04. I thought it was funny that they price it at $20.04. It would actually look better if it was $19.99. How was the food? I was surprised. 35 mins before closing, and the fried chicken was still moist with a spicy heat to the flavor. The skin was lightly crisp. The mac 'n cheese was creamy. The green beans were just okay. The food was being kept in warmers. There's nothing wrong with keeping food in warmers as long as holding times are observed and proper temps are maintained. As I left both the young lady and the server thanked me for coming. Next time, I will have to return at around dinner time. Support Local Business in the SF Bay Area!

I'm finding it difficult to believe how there is anyone leaving a bad review here when everyone has been so kind & has been so hospitable from the time I made my call to see if they were open to the time I came in & asked if it was okay I parked where I did. The inside is so welcoming & warm along with the staff. This restaurant is just so sweet. I was so impressed because "this is how it should be." Let me just say this is absolutely what you would expect from a Black owned, southern soul restaurant. This is what family owned is ALL ABOUT. Smothered just the way my grandmother would have & greens as good as you could imagine. I had them from Sharkys & I knew that wasn't their specialty so when I found House of Soul, FINALLY!! It's breaking my heart to learn they're closing to move out of state. The way my heart is breaking to find out this so sad. Do you know how good this food is? Black eye pees & CORN BREAD? Whoever is on here saying this is dry or this is salty, took it home & let it set out or added too much to it because this is & will be one of the best spots this town has ever had. EVER. Inside & out. I only wish I had gotten to get down here sooner.

In some ways, finding a great new restaurant is like finding a great new love affair…read more When you 1st hear of a place, your interest in stirred,When you see pics or videos of the food,it's like the butterflies one gets when infatuation begins. When you finally arrive at the restaurant and the food is everything you thought and hoped it would be,you get this smile that never goes away, just like a great romance. Finally when you think back to the time you spent at a restaurant and the joy and happiness it brought,it's similar to reminiscing about a beautiful time spent with a loved one. 3 Star restaurant in Vallejo is my latest love affair. I first heard about this place on social media when a few prominent food bloggers reviewed this spot and said their wings were the best wings outside of the legendary wing spot located in San Francisco. So I watched the videos and saw the pictures and I was truly excited to try them out. Well Mothers Day rolled around this year and I needed to bring an appetizer to my mothers party we were having that day in American Canyon & the idea of finally trying out their legendary dish was my entire focus. Driving down from Sacramento to get this dish wasn't the easiest of drives on a holiday but I was determined. I called my order in and as the saying goes, the worst the service the better the food-well I was pretty sure my food was going to be legendary based on that phone call. I ended up ordering both the Garlic Sauce Wings($15.95) and the Salt & Pepper Wings($15.95) This restaurant shares a decent sized parking lot with multiple tenants-so parking is not an issue. The neighborhood isn't the best part of Vallejo but I haven't had any issues yet with car security during my visits. When I arrived the restaurant was pretty busy but I noticed a worker had a full table that was full just for To-Go orders and I walked up to her and she handed me my receipt so I could go up to the cashier and pay. 5 minutes later I was in my car totally engrossed with the smell of this amazing chicken. I consider myself a true chicken wing expert and when I say these wings were pure flavor bliss-I truly mean it. The garlic sauce wings were a mix of sweet and savory and garlic with a slight spice-a wet wing experience that makes my mouth water just thinking back on. The salt and pepper wings were perfectly seasoned and a bite of that wing paired with the onion and Jalapeno toppings that come with the dish, can only be described as pure excellence. The chef truly has mastered the recipe and cooking technique on both of these dishes. Fun fact-due to various events in my life,I've had to drive to the Bay Area a few times since Mothers Day-I've been to this restaurant three times now in less than a week-I would say the love affair with this restaurant is burning quite hot at the moment.
