Me and my fiancé ordered to go and were very satisfied with our dinner. Perfect for family style so that you can try a little bit of everything. There is dine in available if you wanted to sit down and eat there. Staff is super nice and welcoming and overall looks pretty clean. Next time I for sure want to try their chicken wings and the honey butter fries.

This place really hit the spot when you have that craving for Korean BBQ. The place overall is really clean and open. Really easy for big groups and celebrations. Staff is friendly and made sure that our banchan is always filled. I really enjoyed the stew. It brought back a lot of childhood memories. Definitely give this place a try!

Well if the new neighborhood couldn't get any better, I'd be just fine with the delicious and economical new find -- Von's Chicken. I've been eyeing-balling it since I moved and it did not disappoint. The spicy ramen, chef's kiss, and it even comes in a cool and heat inducing reusable or disposable to-go bowl. I was super impressed when I opened my take out order and you got yourself a fresh made ramen at home guys! Peep the photos and like ! The grilled chicken green salad on the side was just as fresh and juicy. House dressing was the perfect portion size to salad. They get 5 stars for price, promptness, food quality, and overall service! What's not to love you guys!

Kimchi fried rice and Fried Chicken with Yangnyeon sauce 10 out of 10. I've never tried yangnyeon it's a unique flavor kind of reminds me of ketchup, sweet & sour, it's tangy too, and I went for the med spicy. (Chef kisses here) Service was fantastic, the team on the clock were hospitable and provided great recommendations. Some reviews I read were not accurate. (Subtle side eye) Not sure how long this place has been in business its clean and well maintained. Tables WEREN'T sticky and the long booth is super comfy.

We came here for some Korean fried chicken but we fell in love with their ramen. Their Ramen broth is so good. I wish the egg wasn't overcooked my daughter ate it before I could try it. The chashu was nice and tender. We really enjoyed it. The fried chicken was good too but I think we will come back for the ramen.

Food: 5/5 This might be the only food I find spicy enough and the portions are decent. I normally prefer the lunch meal which includes rice but when it is not an option, the regular entree is easy to split up as two meals. Out of all I've tried, the red burn chicken is worth it. Service: 4/5 Everyone I came across was helpful and kind. Ambiance: 4/5 Inside, there is a lot of room to sit down and eat. I find the layout a bit odd and inside it is usually empty so I prefer to pick up my food to go.

2nd time coming here and it's been delicious 2/2 times! We got the Garlic Crispy Wings, Bibimbap, and BBQ Short Ribs which I believe is their Galbi. Food and hospitality has been great both times.

Von's didn't see my online order that I made at 4pm. It said it was supposed to be ready by 4:20 and we got there at 4:21. I told the guy at the counter I ordered online for Jen and he told me it wasn't ready yet. I stood here waiting for like 5 min then the cook in Spanish asked the waitress what I was waiting for so she asks me and I was like I ordered online for Jen and they just saw the order. I waited another 20 minutes for my order and they gave me a box of chicken that had been ready since I came in (which was weird they got that order but nothing else) along with the freshly cooked jap chae and mandoo so the chicken was already cold. The food is still good but I would never order online again. I would have complained about the cold chicken but I didn't have the time to wait for them to cook another batch of chicken.

Came here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. It was very quiet - maybe only two other families inside. We were seated immediately and placed our order within the first five minutes of arrival. Potato and cheese corn dog: 5/5 - it was extra cheesy and slightly sweet. Garlic wings: 2.5:5 - standard fried chicken with cold garlic paste on it. It also had sweet notes. Personally, it was not for me. Classic fried chicken (mild): 4/5 - the flavor on these were our favorite. Not spicy at all, but good chili flavor. Honey butter fries 2/5 - not for me. They wanted to be sweet, but tasted artificial (like no real honey, but a sugar honey substitute). Overall, I would give Von's a 3.5/5. I want to return and try items other than the fried chicken - everyone else inside the restaurant had something that wasn't the fried chicken and it looked and smelled phenomenal.

I don't know why it took us so long to try this place! Maybe it's the name and we thought it was just Korean chicken? But anyway.. we finally decided to stop by this place. And it did not disappoint. We kind of went overboard and ordered too much food. But we tried the bibimbap, spicy bulgogi, seafood pancake, and chicken (I forgot the flavors we got) and everything was good! They are located in the same plaza as Safeway and have lots of seating.

Ask the Community - Vons Chicken

I'd love to try some of the soups and ramens, and I see there are tofu or veg options. I'm just trying to find out if their soups have beef/pork/chicken broths. Their menu doesn't state any of this. Any idea?

    Are there any lunch specials?

Yes they have Chicken Lunch special But Korean Lunch special as well!

There's plenty of parking and it can get busy. You order first then you take a seat, there's self serve water here. We ordered the chicken karaage which came out really quickly and had big pieces of chicken, perfect seasoning, wasn't too much and it had like a sriracha sweet mayo dipping sauce. My mom wanted the seafood ramen and my dad wanted the wonton ramen. I know they don't eat too much so I figured to share with them and just ask for an extra bowl. My parents don't like spice so I asked for them to not have any spice in it. Their wonton ramen was a tonkatsu base and it was pretty good. They had huge mandu style wontons that I enjoyed with the bakchoy and hard boiled egg. The seafood ramen is the most expensive and it comes with shrimp, fish balls, bamboo, corn, sprouts, boiled egg and green onions. The shrimp were huge pieces and I enjoyed the ramen noodles. The flavoring tasted like regular ramen to me. Overall it was a busy flow for a Saturday night both with people ordering take out and those dining in. They also have sodas and Hawaiian bbq plates to order plus tons of other sides you can get ala cart. Service was quick! Wifey had the Miso Ramen and devoured it accordingly. This is a medium size restaurant where you order at the counter first, and then your meals are brought to your table. The only downsides I think are the ever increasing price, and the awkwardness of being asked to tip right from the get-go.

Volcano roll is basically a CA roll with chopped scallop on top in a spicy mayo with tobiko and scallion. The fragrance seems like it's then torched for a smoky finish. Not bad at all but today the rice was a little mushy like it hadn't been rinsed enough before cooking or just plain overcooked. Was a little odd texture. The Pink Lady was also really yummy but again rice texture was a bit off. Tempura shrimp with cucumber and avocado inside covered in shredded surimi (imitation crab) and a spicy mayo drizzle. Again not too bad. Gotta say the PORTIONS ARE HUGE imo. YMMV Overall I'd say more than acceptable, rather good apart from the rice today. Could be due to languishing in delivery boxes in transit. So I'm looking forward to returning to dine in and get a look around n see if fresh-from-the-chef rice is better. Joe-Bob says check it out

This place is located in a small multi tenant shopping center located near the entrance of Hiddenbrooke with ample parking-so that was nice. This restaurant is for sure a local restaurant that serves the Hiddenbrooke community with most of their patrons being locals from the community. That was what we found upon arrival, most of the customers did seem to be locals in for a quick lunch. I would describe this place as an Asian fusion restaurant.-the depth of their menu was surprising-like "Cheesecake Factory-esque" level depth of menu.Their sushi menu was many pages and I hadn't even planned on getting sushi but after looking at this menu,I had to try something-so went with a simple Spicy Tuna Roll ($12.95). Off the Thai menu we decided to go with the Trio Meat Fried Rice ($20.95) Virgin Drunken Noodle ($18.95) Pad See U ($16.95) and Drunken Noodle ($16.95) Well I don't consider myself an expert when it comes to Asian fusion but I've had it more than a handful of times-so I can say with confidence that the food here was pretty good- very tasty-the Virgin Drunken Noodles were Interesting due to their use of glass noodles-the beef in that dish was seasoned well.I ordered my Drunken Noodles spicy and for that they delivered, quite a spicy dish. The Pad See U had really good veggies on it-very tasty and snappy. The Spicy Tuna Roll was pretty standard-the highlight being I somehow got my mother to try sushi for the 1st time by eating a piece of this sushi roll-she didn't hate it which I think is a pretty good review from a 73 year old Native American woman trying sushi for the 1st time. In closing,if u ever find yourself out in the Vallejo or Hiddenbrooke area and you want to give a small local business a try-this place is a pretty good choice-with a menu this big, your bound to find something on there that will make you happy. So my bestie and I booked a Friday reservation about three weeks out -- and I completely understand why reservations can stretch nearly a month. The space is very small and intimate, and every seat feels intentional. One of the most notable aspects of the evening was the open kitchen presentation. We were lucky enough to sit at the counter, which essentially turned dinner into a show. Watching each dish come together -- plated with precision, purpose, and care -- was mesmerizing. Chef Michael worked with such efficiency and order. After completing each dish, he cleaned and reset his station before moving on to the next, maintaining a pristine space throughout service. There was a quiet discipline to it all. Tonight was the Tasting Menu. It's easy to assume tasting portions might leave you wanting more, but that was absolutely not the case. We left completely satisfied. From the menu that evening: * tsar nicoulai caviar, basque cheesecake * tempura beef rib * canelé de bordeaux, tuna * radicchio, chowder, greens * king salmon, leeks, fennel, sea buckthorn custard * brioche, morel mushrooms, rice cracker, mushroom powder * polenta, perigord black truffle, broccoli * pork tenderloin, braised greens, black truffle mousse * Japanese A5 wagyu beef * mandarin sorbet, oranges, sabayon * meyer lemon ice cream, candied pecans * beignet, salted caramel * cheesy crème brûlée, essex manchego cheese Each course emphasized bold, striking flavors. Some dishes leaned heavier on salt than I personally prefer, but overall there was thoughtful balance between sweet, salty, acidic, and umami elements. Standouts for me were the tsar nicoulai caviar basque, the tempura beef rib, the king salmon with sea buckthorn custard (I could easily eat 4-6 of those), the pork tenderloin and Japanese A5 wagyu with braised greens and black truffle mousse, the refreshing mandarin sorbet, and the unexpected but delightful cheesy crème brûlée. Every dish felt intentional and composed with purpose. This isn't an everyday dining spot -- and I don't think it's meant to be. It's an experience. Chef Michael brings his background from places like Auberge du Soleil and Bouchon into this intimate Vallejo space, and it shows. If you have the opportunity to dine here before the doors close, I strongly encourage you to make the reservation. It's one of those meals you'll remember -- not just for the food, but for the artistry behind it.

I do think they might want to upgrade the lighting a bit to something warmer. The small dining area is friendly though and there's good views of the kitchen as the meal is prepared. The meal was filling--always a question at some fine dining places--and the service is efficient. The wine pairings, while not any rare bottles or special vintages, worked really well and elevated the dishes. Some of the dishes were remarkable, like the polenta, a sorbet with carbonated mandarins, and the beignets. Most were quite good. Only one dish didn't quite work--the chicken in the fried chicken was oddly stringy. Super-nice owners who were happy at the end of the night to talk more once the pace of cooking eased up.
