adorable hole in the wall coffee shop, proudly pro palestine and anti ice. iced latte was good and a little foamy at the top since they shake it a bit. my friend's coffee tonic was nice and chocolatey. service was really nice, it was one person taking orders and making drinks
pretty tiny space, I saw the baristas chatting with customers so that was a nice touch. the menu is simple but they offer soy milk and specialty syrups! I got an iced soy latte ($6.50) and it was delicious, love the beans they use. the cup size is also pretty big and not packed with ice!
Whenever I'm in the Mission, Grand Coffee is my go-to spot. I love the decor and the overall vibe! It feels intentional and welcoming, and honestly just a place I feel good supporting. The coffee and service are both consistently great. The staff are always friendly, and the drinks come out quickly. My go-to is the GC Tonic. It has the perfect caffeine kick, and as someone who loves espresso tonics, this one really hits the spot. It's refreshing, balanced, and not overly sweet. Overall, a solid neighborhood coffee shop that I keep coming back to.
As I type this out, I literally just got my mocha here for the 1st time like a few minutes ago. Kim & Dasa made a good 1st impression & worth a review right now. Very friendly. I randomly chose this place as I was coming over to the Mission District for my work meeting. Nice place!! I'm glad I chose this place. Definitely, a great place to stop by. I'm hardly ever in the Mission district, but definitely will stop by here when I'm around again!!!
So glad this coffee shop was open today, was served immediately and really enjoyed my flat white. Would also come back to pick up some beans next time when I need to restock.
I was influenced by tik tok to try and while it didn't knock my socks off it was still a pleasant experience! It's a small shop with really cool interior design. Not a million things on the menu but you don't need a million things. They cover all the coffee basics (latte, espresso, iced coffee etc). I got the iced coffee with rose cardamom syrup and it was pleasant! The coffee was on the lighter side - didn't have the strong coffee roast flavor, but that could just be my preference. You'll get more rose in the syrup than cardamom which is fantastic if you're a rose person. I personally love trying new coffee shops and I'm glad I got to try this one! While I wouldn't make a long trip to grab a cup I would certainly get one if I was nearby again.

This is pulled from their website to tell their story: "Grand Coffee was founded by Nabeel Silmi in the post-recession days of 2010. In the decade since, Grand has become a gathering place for all in the community: immigrants, artists, abuelas, tech workers, service workers, queer folx, people who just moved to San Francisco, people who have spent their whole lives in San Francisco, and so many more". The coffee was amazing too! They sell beans by the bag as well. I got a latte with their brown sugar chai syrup which was phenomenal. This is such a fantastic business to support and I will be back with friends/fam!
The latte is very delicious and the foam on top is perfect. There is a cute little bench outside that you can sit on.
This place is so fun and quirky. Half coffee shop, half art gallery. The layout changes every time but there is outdoor and indoor seating (you can even sit at the coffee "bar"). The service is always quick and super friendly. The coffee is really good and you can get it to stay or to go. They have different drink specials each time that are pretty unique. Highly recommend stopping by if you're looking for a fun coffee place!
My husband and I were looking for a local coffee shop to support and we decided on this one! It was a very short walk from our apartment which was very convenient. It's a small space but very cozy and welcoming. I ordered a sweetened iced matcha latte with whole milk. Note that they do not have soy milk but they do have oat milk as an alternative. I'm not a matcha connoisseur but I enjoyed my latte. It had a nice subtly flavor and wasn't overly sweet. I love what this shop supports and represents and I hope to be back soon!
Decent mochas that are not super sweet which I appreciate. Cappuccinos are on the slightly bitter side which I like. Small hole in the wall coffee business. 3 seats available.
Most amazing coffee and pasties they gave other food as well and it liked great the croissant was delicious and the coffee was superb the service from the owners was also very heart warming. The ambiance of the store was cozy and enjoyable wished I had more time to hang out a great vibe.
Stopped by for some pastries and coffee and have to say: this place is doing it right. I ordered their single-origin cold brew along with their pan Dulce and an apricot cake. I was sharing with my dad and the barista was nice enough to serve the pastries split in half. The pan dulce was a fancier take than what you'd expect from a traditional panadería. Not pastores were delicious and kinda dense so it worked well when dipping the pastry into the coffee. Rich, deep taste in the cold brew. The inside of the cafe had a decent amount seating downstairs and upstairs as well. More of a place to catch up with friends than work on a laptop imo. Will definitely stop by when I'm In the area. read more

Great ambiance, clean and spacious. Nice employees. Not good tasting coffee. We each selected an ice coffee, one a prepared drip dark roast and the other a cold brew. Neither tasted good. The cold brew was especially bitter. read more

Came by for coffee the other day and it was an excellent experience! Street parking is available. Staff behind the window didn't wear a mask and didn't wear gloves. The Grand Coffee stand is literally a hole-in-the-wall coffee shop next to a defunct movie theatre with window service only. (The interior of the coffee shop was closed). There was a bench in front of the window for those to sit down and enjoy their coffee. Ordered the mocha and it came out perfect! The foam was very thick. The latte art was excellent! The temperature was excellent and most importantly the chocolate wasn't too sweet! Ordered a pastry that was more like a cruffin and it was also excellent! Super light, lightly dusted in sugar and stuffed with red beans and taro! They do take credit cards! read more
Talk about a hole in the wall! The intoxicating smell of fresh roasted beans fills this small coffee shop located right on bustling Mission. Outfitted with hipsters sipping out of ceramic mugs, this trendy no frills roastery and cafe is a dream for all your caffeine needs on. Will definitely stop by again before a thrifting day soon. Best coffee in town. This is truly a hidden jam. I highly recommend this is place. They can make and specialize drink you like. But if you like regular but best tasting coffee . On the corner of 23 at and Mission. I'm definitely going back. Thank you Grand coffee. read more

Walked to an appointment today where I passed by this spot and wanted to give them a try. I got a hot oat latte. It's not bad at all and price is better than other places I been & the barista was nice so I tipped. I absolutely hate it when I get suboptimal service for an overpriced latte & they seek tip... anyways appreciate the first time experience! Will be back soon. read more

Blessed to live down the street from this place. Best coffee I've had in SF. Iced lattes shaken in cocktail shakers for a nice foamy top. Cappuccino is perfect every time. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Couldn't ask for more! read more

Great, high quality coffee! Amazing coffee shop that helps out the community. The non-profit I work at is volunteer ran and Grand Coffee quickly agreed to donate coffee for our hard working volunteers. This coffee was enjoyed by everyone, and was ready at the time we had agreed on. Friendly staff and overall great experience. :) read more

I always pass by this place and I finally decided to try it. It has been one of the best and most affordable coffees in town. The service was fast and the coffee was delicious. Highly recommend getting the latte. The place is small but I got mine to go. read more

I've been coming here since before the pandemic and it's always been a pleasant experience for me If you ever are in need of some great coffee then I would stop by here. I love how small it is and how you order from a window and show the walls have all these interesting stickers and art to look at. It's only two blacks away and worth it to me. read more

I have been looking for a solid coffee shop in the city and just haven't been able to find one until now!! I really dislike bad syrup sweetener and here they make their own which i haven't been able to find anywhere!! The orange blossom is delicious and floral and their coffee is just really delicious and good quality! I loved the barista (i think their name is drew?) he was so funny and helpful and one of the customers joined in on our conversation too it was very homey and comfortable!! I love that' it's so small and hole in the walley! I went to their other location too and had another great experience and met the owner (: very happy to have found a reliable coffee shop!!! read more

Oh, how I love this place. The perfect pit stop on the way to the 24th Street BART. Pros: - The staff are SO kind. I always leave feeling so joyous after chatting with the folks working there. - You can add any non-dairy or plant milk to your drink free of charge! The staff also ask for your feedback when putting anything into your drink, which is so considerate & prevents a scenario where your coffee is too bitter/sweet/milky. I love putting oat milk in my Americanos and cold brews. - They have a lot of exciting weekly pop-ups with local bakeries; see their Instagram story to order ahead! - Way more affordable than other artisan cafés in the Mission, but still extremely high quality with a wide variety of tasting notes in their blends. Cons: - The shop is literally a hole in the wall, so you need to take up sidewalk space to wait. Sometimes waiting is a bit unpleasant on days when there's construction on 22nd. Only one person at a time can order at the window, and there's limited space to loiter nearby. There often isn't a line if you go during non-peak hours, so usually not a problem. - The daily pastry selection when there isn't a pop-up is quite limited. read more

That had a lot to do with the professionalism of the barista who made a point of treating all her customers equally. The space itself was tiny, but that didn't seem to bother the hipsters who were hanging out almost zombie-like against the wall. They just wouldn't get out of the way when I tried to reach for a cap for my cup. Don't worry, I'm cool. Love our hole in the wall mission coffee shops. Walked by after a filling meal but still couldn't resist getting a couple things! * Seaweed pastry (forgot the name!) - 3.5 stars They usually run out of this early but I was able to get it at 2:30pm on a Saturday! It had an interesting savory filling, but it was a bit dry. * Cappuccino - 4.5 stars They have great espresso drinks here. I got an iced latte with oat milk and cane syrup. my bestie got a sweetened iced matcha latte with oat milk. it was simply delicious rich coffee flavor in mine and authentic matcha taste in hers! The baristas were very nice as well and did a great job! :) It's very tiny inside but has great art and good vibes all around. I will be coming back! read more
