Grand Coffee Too is such a great coffee shop. I really like the vibe. It's an amazing location right off 21st and Mission near Alamo Drafthouse and Foreign Cinema. It's such a bright space, lots of indoor seating including couches. The service was really nice and quick, everyone was kind. I liked the stickers at the front too. Their coffee bean selection looked nice. I got the Gochujang Brown Butter latte with whole milk. I loved it, it was a little spicy, sweet so warm and easy to drink. I have gotten their Iced Piña Vanilla latte several times since trying it last week ok. I don't know what espresso beans they're using but it is sooo beautiful!!! I don't like my drinks very sweet so I was a lil nervous but the syrup they're using is truly balanced. They really hit it out of the park with this one imo. Anytime I go to a movie at Alamo next door and I pretty much have to stop at Grand before or after. It's a lovely shop, with excellent drinks and awesome staff. I always get an oatmilk matcha latte (w/no upcharge for the non-dairy option!) and they make it so well. It is free from sweetener and has a rich matcha-y taste. I wasn't a fan of the bitter mocha I once got from their original location, but I was down to give them another shot. This time, I ordered a "not coffee" -- a Lime Rickey ($5) which had zero sweetness. Perhaps a syrup-sweetened latte would suit me more; orange blossom orgeat sounds promising. I'm not giving up on Grand yet. They've got potential, I know it. (This is beginning to sound like, "I can fix him.") Reasonable prices, interesting non-coffee drink selection, there's pan dulce in the display case I've yet to try, & they're right next door to my go-to movie theater. Visited Grand Coffee Too for the first time on a Friday evening and had a great experience! It's a super cute and artsy coffee shop, perfect hangout spot with friends. Loved the vibes here and the staff was SO welcoming and friendly. Just note that it's very small, so seating is limited. I believe there are around 6 counter seats in total, as well as a bench. I ordered the Iced Matcha and loved it! You can choose either whole milk or oat milk, and can also order this drink hot if you prefer hot drinks. It was ready pretty quickly, and they provided a beautiful coaster that perfectly matched the vibes of the shop. My friend and I also tried their chocolate chip cookie, which was absolutely AMAZING. The center was thick and I loved how I could taste the salt. It was perfect. Definitely would order these again. Can't wait to visit again next time in the area! read more

I can't say enough good things about this place - the folks who worked at the shop gave me the kindest & most generous service of any café I've ever been to. I stopped in when visiting from out-of-town and was surprised at how open and welcoming everyone was. It was obvious that the baristas were passionate about the shop & its menu. They let us sample several menu items before ordering and even gave us a palette cleanser when we finished our drinks. I really liked the flavored lattes (orange blossom syrup!) but was even more impressed by their homemade teas. As of January 2023, the cafe has very limited bar seating, so would recommend planning to visit as a stop or place to have a quick chat on the way to somewhere else (in its current state, this probably isn't a place to plan a longer meeting or do work). If I could leave -5 stars I would. Some owner or worker approached me and my fiancee rudely and in an unwelcoming manner and told us we cannot bring outside food into the cafe regardless of us being ordering customers. We were completely unaware of this concept and did not see any signs. I understand now that It can be considered rude to some extent from the customers side, but when we apologized and said we did not see any signs and didn't know he was very rude and said "well I'm telling you so, and that's better than a sign". Like damn, now it makes sense why there's other bad reviews of this place, especially on their customer service. We will never step inside a sh-- hole place like that again. And the matcha sucked. Ahhhhh, I have never found a coffee shop where I felt part of the community. The baristas (I can only remember Kim's name on the top of my head) are so friendly and welcoming. You can sit and chat at the bar and before you know it an hour passes by. A lot of the people that walk in seems to be regulars and I love that the baristas know most by their name.
