We had the best pho to go from here. It was a rainy day in tucson and decided to order. The staff was amazing and food was delicious. Prices are fair and we didn't wait long for our food. If you're looking for great pho place this is the one.

Oh man, a good haul from Tucson, but glad I made the drive. This place is about 30 minutes from central Tucson and close to Biosphere 2. I read somewhere this place had good pho. I've been in Tucson for a few years now and I hadn't heard of them until this week. This is some of the best pho I've had in Tucson. I also got to try the egg rolls and they were fried perfectly and served with a good assortment of veggies. The pho dac biet had a good ratio of everything and the broth wasn't too greasy and had a good flavor. The restaurant is pretty modest and located in a strip mall. It's a clean restaurant that can probably seat about 30 folks. Yeah this place is good.

We drove 30mins to get here-it was worth it! We wanted to order dishes we hadn't tried before and enjoyed everything! Our favorite was the sugar cane shrimp. So many layers of wonderful flavors. The BBQ pork was the most tender I've ever had! The shrimps were cooked perfectly- still plump & juicy. Just loved the broth. All served with fresh lettuce & herbs. We even fought over the pickled veggies. Highly recommended. Staff is very nice, just not very attentive. So sweet, but didn't clear our empty plates or refill water...maybe she was tired (-:

After 2 visits, I am very confident you will agree: this place is beautiful, extremely clean, calming atmosphere, and delicious food!! Heaping portions of perfectly prepared recipes. My favorites so far: B3 Pho, Chicken Fried Rice, Salt and Pepper Wings. The complementary flan is delightful and the service is friendly and efficient.

Enjoyed B1 and H2 Vietnamese soup noodle dishes. Generous portions of protein compared to other local Vietnamese places. Friendly service. We'll be back to try more Vietnamese dishes. Can't speak about the Chinese,Thai and Fusion selections as it seemed more Americanized. Definitely recommend the Vietnamese soup noodles. Was pleasantly surprised to find this quality of Vietnamese food in Oro Valley.

They can close Door Dash should go out of business. I am ill and have many restrictions to my food intake. So when I wanted to try new delivery I carefully looked over the menu. i cant eat chokebles like peanuts and like "thai" spicy food. i wrote No MSG no peanuts no cilantro. Yes spicy. the gal who took the order and called me back to tell me that I Couldn't eat the soups of any kind and suggested a curry red or green. I said the spicier one. the Door Dasher handed ne a cockeye box with much of of the food askew. The bag was tied closed and more often, as not I opened the bag I found 2 dishes that could kill me and one that was tasteless. more aligned with Chinese Cantonese of the 1960s

This restaurant was on our route out of Tucson. Really wanted sushi but the other restaurant was closed so we ended up settling for this place..Orange chicken was an unpleasant radioactive orange color. Heavily dyed so much it stains your tongue. Chicken Banh mi was good, nothing special. I got a cup of the hot & sour soup which I enjoyed! We also had beef pho. Again nothing special. Decor could be more inviting. Service was a little slow. Overall will not be back.

**** What a terrific dining experience today at this restaurant - Christmas Eve afternoon :) Food was terrific ... especially the (huge) flavorful crepes and spring rolls ... Environment is spotless and very comfortable. We collected a large Pho to go ($19) to enjoy from our Hotel Christmas Day ... more on that later ;) Complimentary small serving of Flan is appreciated. * Only complaint I have is the (clearly posted I noticed later) credit card convenience fee of 3.5% Out of principal, I generally won't do business with entities who tack on this additional fee.

    A mess.
    Judy B.

The food is tasty but full of MSG. So, if you turn red, get a headache, or get swollen, MSG might be the culprit. Unfortunately, they or DoorDash handled it badly, and much of it was at the bottom of the bag.

Very delicious food, nice waitress, great service, large portions, Viet, Thai, Chinese, sushi all was delicious. I would definitely return when we are craving Asian food.

I tried again with Grain River Asian Bistro and while I didn't enjoy the food my first time there this time was a better experience. The pho is absolutely delicious and is a good broth to fillings ratio. I also had their shrimp and pork spring rolls and the peanut dipping sauce is so tasty. If you come here get their Vietnamese dishes...they do those very well! Best to steer clear of their Asian fusion section...not as good based on my experience last time.

My favorite Vietnamese food in Tucson in terms of the food itself…read more My favorites here: #16 Seasoned Julienned taro root with vermicelli noodles, pickled daikon and the typical vietnamese herbs etc and sweet soy sauce. It comes with fried tofu typically but they let you exchange the tofu with a couple of their delicious vietnamese crispy rice paper egg rolls that are stuffed with deliciously seasoned tofu (#14 on the menu) and that's my favorite way to order it. Mixing all of it together is heaven. This is by far my favorite here! I find that I generally really like taro- all parts of the plant! The root as served in this restaurant and in Thai desserts, the leaves in filipino laing and the stalk (elephant ear stalk) in vietnamese Canh Chua soup. #20 Fried rice noodles dish (ask for the crispy option!) . This one became quite expensive recently but when I had it in the past it was delicious. Definitely get the crispy version! #14: Those vietnamese crispy rice paper egg rolls that are stuffed with deliciously seasoned tofu are so good. They let you get them a la carte but the full plate comes with the sauce and herbs. I get them as part of #16 as described above so it has the sauce and herbs in that dish as well. I really love that they have a vegetarian and vegan menu and that they have the vegan sweet soy sauce available in place of fish sauce for that menu. The restaurant is attached to Lee Lee international supermarket which is an absolute must visit in my opinion for international food lovers and people who want to learn about world cuisines. It's a great place to find international ingredients that are not easily found elsewhere. My general rating system: 1 star: I would stay away 2 stars: Has some good things about it but I generally don't recommend. 3 stars: Pretty good. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back but a decent place 4 stars: Great place. I would go back. 5 stars: I highly recommend stopping whatever you are doing and making plans to try it out! The rice noodles with scallion oil came with onions wrapped in beef and grilled, something we had never tried before but were just as good as it sounds. The pho broth also clearly had been simmering for hours. It was dark and rich in flavor while the veggies were still crisp and fresh. For living in central Tucson, this place is definitely worth the 20 minute drive!

Easily the most Vietnamese I've seen in a crowd at a restaurant in Tucson, which says a lot about the authenticity. I ordered the veggie pho and it absolutely hit the spot. Clean, flavorful broth, fresh toppings, and that comforting "pho therapy" vibe you just can't fake. The menu has great variety (hello boba options ), and everything felt casual, welcoming, and community-driven. If you're craving legit Vietnamese comfort food -- especially good pho with real flavor -- this one's worth the stop. I'll definitely be back.

My first experience was when my best friend door dashed me an order on my birthday when I was sick. Let me tell you the Phô hits the spot when you're not feeling well. I have stopped in two other times and both have been great experiences. The large Phô was more than enough to fill me up. (6'3", 250), added with a boba tea made my experience that much more enjoyable. Now, for those who are concerned about MSG, take the time to do a little research. It's about as rare as celiac disease.... Everyone claims to have it. Can it be an intolerance, sure as with anything, but our body uses sodium physiologically and the other part is an amino acid that naturally occurs as well. That amino acid is derived from vegetables. So I call BS, but whatever. Monosodium glutamate (MSG) and sodium chloride (NaCl, table salt) differ primarily in their chemical structure and sodium concentration. MSG is a salt of sodium and glutamic acid (an amino acid) containing ~12-14% sodium, while NaCl is a compound of sodium and chloride containing ~39-40% sodium. MSG provides umami taste, whereas NaCl provides saltiness.  Key Chemical Differences: Chemical Formula and Structure: NaCl: A simple ionic compound, with a cubic crystal structure. MSG: A salt of glutamic acid. (monosodium glutamate hydrate), which contains a sodium ion and a glutamate molecule. Sodium Content: MSG has roughly two-thirds less sodium by weight compared to table salt. Production/Source:NaCl: Obtained through mining or evaporation of seawater.MSG: Produced through the fermentation of starches, sugar beets, or sugarcane. Flavor Profile: NaCl provides a purely salty taste. MSG triggers the umami (savory) taste receptor, enhancing flavor without high sodium levels. Appearance: Both are white, crystalline, but MSG crystals are often longer/prismatic (like "mini snowflakes") while table salt is often granular or cubic.  Impact in Cooking:While both enhance flavor, they function differently. MSG adds savory depth (umami), while salt provides salinity. Due to lower sodium levels, MSG is sometimes used to reduce total sodium intake in food, providing savory flavor without excessive sodium.  So Newton Pho.... Keep serving up your yummy goodness. I appreciate it!!!

It doesn't feel like any other restaurant, it feels like you are at somebody's house. Here's the thing, I came in expecting the usual Chinese food affair, but I left genuinely surprised and impressed. This restaurants specializes in Southern Chinese food, which is different from other regions. I am so happy this restaurant and its chains helps the cuisine gain exposure and adds depth to Chinese food in general. Even better, the menu is laid out in a way that it is easy to understand: gluten-free options, allergies, and spice level. The service was great. All though it isn't a "full" sit-down restaurant, everybody there seemed to know the menu well and was happy to be there.
