i made an account just to write this but the staff were the sweetest people ever & they even gave us free items from the bakery because we traveled from out of state. 100% will be going back if i return to cincinnati. i got the raspberry sorbet and it was SOOO good. bonus points for the taylor swift signed picture frame on the wall

A Cincy original, I love Graeters, the coconut chip is a favorite as is the raspberry chocolate chunk.

I had Graeter's Ice Cream in Kentucky for the first time in May. I haven't been able to stop thinking about it since. No other ice cream will ever live up to Graeter's! You can't get Graeter's ice cream in California unless you place an order online and pay $80 for 6 pints. They're based out of Ohio. I couldn't live without Graeter's any longer so I buckled and placed an order for 6 pints. I placed my order around 2pm on 10/20 and I received it at 11am on 10/22! It came packed in a small Styrofoam cooler and dry ice. It's been sitting on my desk all day and the ice cream is still rock hard and freezing cold. I ordered the following flavors: -Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip -Caramel -Pumpkin Pie -Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip -Mint Chocolate Chip -Cookie Dough Chocolate Chip Did I mention their chocolate chips are more like sizable shaved chunks not measly little chips? I'm probably going to look like I'm carrying an organ for a transplant when I walk to my car after work today : o

Never in my life had I had ice cream as good as this folks. Seriously. I was recommended and insisted upon by a friend to try out Graeter's while I was in Cincinnati. I should have sampled, but I saw the mint chocolate chip and dove right in. Fun fact - it was also low on the GI scale so I guess that is cool? But either way it was delicious, creamy, and they "chips" were incredible. That is definitely what they are known for and it did not disappoint. One of the managers of the store insisted that I try the peanut butter one so she handed me a sample and it was phenomenal as well, but I was there for any of the ones with the chocolate chip option. It was worth all the calories and work outs and steps I had to take to walk off it's delicious, creamy, perfect goodness.

Might be the best ice cream I've ever had. The staff were all super nice even though the cashier was new, she was still friendly. Very tasty, would recommend stopping in.

It's one thing to close early, but to post a handwritten sign calling the event "stupid" was shockingly unprofessional. It's figuratively and literally more than a bike race, it's a fundraiser that supports cancer research and survivorship through the CancerFree KIDS Pediatric Cancer Research Alliance. It brings thousands of people together for a cause that matters deeply, while also creating one of the most electric, family-friendly atmospheres you'll find in Cincinnati. From a business perspective, this was a massive missed opportunity. The streets were filled with people eager to support local shops and enjoy the events which is exactly the kind of audience any small business would hope for. Instead of welcoming that energy, Patty's turned it away and insulted the very people walking by their storefront. I love supporting small, local businesses, but this kind of response shows a disconnect from the community that makes Hyde Park special. I hope they reconsider how they respond to events like this in the future.

The staff is welcoming and is generous with the tastings: four of us tried around ten flavors in all! It was a hot day, so this was our last stop by the market, so it would not melt on the way home. We got some bold Rüya dark 65% chocolate, flavored with Turkish espresso, with a touch of traditional cardamom expressing welcome. The cardamom flavoring is milder in this chocolate than it is in mideast coffee. That works for us. We got two with mild bourbon flavors: the somewhat-sweet Prohibition, and the lightly-orange seasonally-available Old Fashioned (reminiscent of the cocktail). We also got some seasonal slightly-fruity limited-edition Thailand 70% chocolate, one of our favorites. And we grabbed an assortment of lighter and darker sweet creams and truffles. We used to watch the bean-grinder in action here. Last year moved it to a new factory on the Licking River across the river in Lexington KY, a town where they also opened a second retail location in 2024 that includes gelato! The aroma here is lovely and chocolatey and roasty. The chocolate is divine.

I also purchased some truffles to take home, and I purchased enough to get a box but they were out of the small boxes. I told her I was traveling quite a distance and was concerned they would not make it. She said they would be fine and put them in a plastic bag. She could've offered the next size up in box! And indeed they did not make it. Hate I wasted money on these.
