    Butter and Salt popcorn.

I love this place. You are greeted when you walk in with a smile. It always smells so delicious in there. The Butter & Salt popcorn is always so good. It's nice little treat that I enjoy. I wanted to add, that this Vanilla Butternut Popcorn that I got as a mystery bag; is DELICIOUS. The vanilla is just perfect and then there is this unexpected creaminess, that I don't know quite how to explain. It definitely will satisfy a sweet tooth. I am excited to try other flavors.

I had first found this shop through a yelp event but when I was in the area recently, I popped in for a lil tasting and a few treats. The White Chocolate Strawberry was my fav of this visit. I messed up and forgot to get a savory to balance all my sweet options. That will not happen again! Go get some popcorns.

I am OBSESSED with Al's Popcorn!! Every flavor is so unique and bursting with flavor and I have never had a bad flavor here. It is amazing that they have so many flavor options on hand at any time, if I had to guess it's 50+! They have a detailed allergen list for each flavor which is super helpful. The popcorn comes in multiple sizes, with the roughly $7 small size bag being plenty of popcorn to truly enjoy a flavor! The staff is always very friendly and lets you sample a few flavors when you visit. The space is great to visit as well, not really anywhere to hangout but tables and items to look at while you order your popcorn :) Overall I wish I lived closer so that I could have this popcorn more frequently!

There are lots of flavors. They claim to be homemade. Tried the strawberry white chocolate and snickerdoogle popcorn as part of a dessert and wine tour. My wife got the cincinnati chilli and street corn popcorn. I didn't like either. They have pre-made bags of a few flavors. Otherwise with only 1 worker you will wait. We had 12 people on the tour. I got mint chocolate chip and bourbon to go. Only complaint was I couldn't buy a 7.00 bag of boubon popcorn. It was not in the app or register. There was no 7 dollar popcorn even though it said 7 dollars on the sticker. After waiting I told the worker to ring it up as another flavor and I paid the 7.50 cash. I hate places that charge more for credit card.

Help me! I went to Al's again yesterday. Service great as always. The shop is cute spot. This visit met a fellow popcorn lover. She suggested Rice Krispie Treat. I bought Pumpkin Pie, Cinnamon Roll and Rice Krispie Treat. The rice krispie has me in a choke hold. It is so good, there are even little gooey bits stuck together with the marshmallow so it's chewy and crispy. Thank God I only got a small. Yes the other flavors are very good but man, Rice Krispie for the win. Thank you fellow popcorn lover where ever you are for the suggestion!

Al's Delicious Popcorn is such a fun spot downtown. The shop smells wonderful and will make your day beter just by walking in. Al's makes over 300 flavors of popcorn! Some of the more unique ones include ramen, Cincinnati chili, and pretzels & mustard. I got cinammon roll and dill pickle. The dill pickle is the best pickle popcorn I have ever had. The prices are great. Al's Delicious Popcorn makes make super fun gifts and super fun additions to a movie night. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. Parking is primarily street parking, but I have never had an issue finding any.

Such a fabulous little gem hidden in OTR! I was amazed at the amount and variety of different flavor options, literally anything you can imagine. It's great that they let you sample as many as you need because choosing is such a tough decision. The popcorn is absolutely delicious and by far better than anything you can find in a grocery store. Perfectly crunchy and full of flavor.

    Boxes left on apartment patio

My apartment is attached to their building, and we share a back patio area. They've thrown their garbage on the back patio area, down the steps, and put garbage (full trash bags of popcorn) in the recycling dumpster. Their product is fun and good but based on what I've seen in the images, some of their employees have lazy/negligent behavior. I've worked in the bar/service industry for 4 years--I have to think that their carelessness here carries over into the cleanliness of the facility and product.

If you know me, you know popcorn is my love language. I could eat popcorn daily ... and some weeks, I do! I'm so glad there's now a local popcorn shop in OTR that can satisfy these cravings. I stopped in just after they opened on a Tuesday morning - ready to sample some of their famous 80+ flavors. Stephanie, Madison, and Jalen were so friendly and helpful ... offering suggestions based on what types of popcorn I typically prefer. I'm usually a Ranch seasoning girl (I go so far as to bring the seasoning shaker to the movie theater in my purse), and their Ranch flavor definitely did not disappoint! They also recommended I try the Jalapeno Beer Cheese ... which I loved so much, I ended up purchasing a small bag of this! I also taste-tested their Cincinnati Chili flavor ... which even if you're not a fan of Skyline, you'll want to give this a try. The sweet & salty really works with popcorn. I purchased a bag of this for my fiancé, and he was so excited that they even offered this flavor! I also tried a few of their sweet flavors ... the Buckeye was delicious, with a great balance of peanut butter and chocolate. The White Chocolate Strawberry is also a must-try ... they use real, freeze-dried strawberries! They're open late on Fridays and Saturdays if you need a little snack before bar-hopping through OTR. Their storefront is very bright and modern ... mixed with some exposed brick, to really connect with Cincy's historic side. If you're a popcorn lover, Al's is definitely a stop you want to make sometime soon! Heck, even if you're not a popcorn person, with more than 80 flavors, there's certainly something for everyone to enjoy.

You must know I'm something of a popcorn enthusiast. Like, I love it. Love it a lot. And Al's Popcorn is amazing!!! I LOVE IT. The Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup flavor is my fave. The Candy Cane, amazing. There's a breakfast one that tastes like maple syrup and bacon. They've got, like, at least 50 flavors, so everyone will find something they like: Chicago Mix, caramel, Cincinnati Chili, chocolate churro, and cinnamon roll to name a few. I've also been lucky enough to attend 2 beer and popcorn tasting events at the Cincy Sam Adams taproom. They also keep (Al's Popcorn) popcorn flights on their food menu and change up the types of popcorn they serve. So, that's fun! My only issue is there's not a lot of unmetered parking around the shop, and it can take a long time to get an order prepared, so I really wish there was a way to order online ahead for pickup. I went in this past week and paid for 20 minutes on the meter and walked a half block to the shop. I ordered 5 small bags of popcorn for a care package and had to add time to my meter because I waited well over 15 minutes for my popcorn order to be filled. I was the only customer in the shop, so it would have been even longer had there been a line, but a way to order ahead would alleviate that issue. All in all Al's is worth visiting... especially if you like popcorn!!!

Columbus mix is our favorite! Sweet and savory mix! Everything we've tried is delicious and they are more than happy to let you try a few options before buying. The small bag is more than enough for a few days of snacking and the medium and large sizes would be great for parties! Numerous people getting popcorn on a Saturday afternoon but everyone was helped quickly. They were even polite to the rude woman who wanted to try nearly every flavor and then left without buying anything - don't be this woman.

What a fun spot and the perfect place to check out as summer begins! The space had cute decor and with over 80 flavors, there's something for everyone. The person working the counter was super helpful in giving me samples AND recommendations. Pretzel and mustard was delicious-who would have thought! I also ordered a strawberry and white chocolate which was also very tasty. I loved that they had a variety of sweet and savory flavors. Looking forward to going back and trying back the other flavors.

Oh sure, I've had gourmet popcorn before but I've never had anything like Al's. I got to try some sample flavors like buffalo ranch (just the right kick of heat), horchata (delicious and cinnamony) and the Brie and Berry (odd yet delicious) - Stacey from Al's said it makes a great addition to a cheese board. We got a small bag of the Columbus Mix and a small bag of the Jalapeno Beer Cheese flavors. The Columbus was a quick household favorite. The Jalapeno was also good but almost had an Indian pepper profile - which wasn't expected but delicious none the less.

It's one thing to close early, but to post a handwritten sign calling the event "stupid" was shockingly unprofessional. It's figuratively and literally more than a bike race, it's a fundraiser that supports cancer research and survivorship through the CancerFree KIDS Pediatric Cancer Research Alliance. It brings thousands of people together for a cause that matters deeply, while also creating one of the most electric, family-friendly atmospheres you'll find in Cincinnati. From a business perspective, this was a massive missed opportunity. The streets were filled with people eager to support local shops and enjoy the events which is exactly the kind of audience any small business would hope for. Instead of welcoming that energy, Patty's turned it away and insulted the very people walking by their storefront. I love supporting small, local businesses, but this kind of response shows a disconnect from the community that makes Hyde Park special. I hope they reconsider how they respond to events like this in the future.

We used to watch their roaster in their store stir and tumble the raw cacao beans they import directly from farmers and co-ops around the world. The aroma was subtle and warming. On this visit (Dec 2025), we realize they had recently moved production across Ohio River to the Eastside in Covington KY :-( The store had a sweet lovely aroma. It was filled with chocolate products that they make themselves. Bars of white chocolate, milk chocolate, flavored, and as dark as 80%, assorted candies, ground cacao, drinking chocolate mix, and even a cacao & chai & adaptogen beverage mix. We went for dark chocolate bars that we hadn't seen before. $14 Limited-edition 70% Thailand Dark Chocolate, sourced from the 10-year-old family-run Khun farm and harvest-station for about 40 neighbors. It had a subtle fruit sweetness and slight acidity, balancing the intensity of rich deep flavors, more savory than bitter. I think that Maverick's methods smooth the bitterness of the darker chocolates. A number of family-members found a bar of Dark chocolate under their tree this holiday season :-) Founded in 2014, Maverick's is a treasure. Next time we get here, we're gonna plan a drive 15min south of here to take a tour (with samples :-) of their factory and soak in that roasty aroma :-)
