It's one thing to close early, but to post a handwritten sign calling the event "stupid" was shockingly unprofessional. It's figuratively and literally more than a bike race, it's a fundraiser that supports cancer research and survivorship through the CancerFree KIDS Pediatric Cancer Research Alliance. It brings thousands of people together for a cause that matters deeply, while also creating one of the most electric, family-friendly atmospheres you'll find in Cincinnati. From a business perspective, this was a massive missed opportunity. The streets were filled with people eager to support local shops and enjoy the events which is exactly the kind of audience any small business would hope for. Instead of welcoming that energy, Patty's turned it away and insulted the very people walking by their storefront. I love supporting small, local businesses, but this kind of response shows a disconnect from the community that makes Hyde Park special. I hope they reconsider how they respond to events like this in the future.

My wife, Donna, and I were near out of Cousin Willie's incredible White Cheddar Popcorn, and, around our house, that's a mortal sin. I said, "D, I'm sorry, it just got away from me!" She said, "Michael, what have you done; how are we going to watch TV and snack on killer corn at any time we want?" Desperate, we checked several local stores (Lilburn, Georgia) and were, frankly, freaking out because not a box of Cousin Willie's White Cheddar was to be found. We placed an emergency call to HQ in Indiana and by the grace of, reached Tina. Not only did she assure us of her confidence that our routine would not be missing our popcorn bowl little buddies, but she would also personally help us locate corn locally or assist us in purchasing a couple tons of the stuff from HQ. Long and the short of it is not only is Tina a sweetheart, she is also a wizardis at assisting desperate clients by talking them down from the peanut tree and finding product!!
