I have a somewhat biased review, full disclosure. First thing that personally bothered me was the waitress being adamantly unwilling to take our food order with our drink order (after we had waited a while, at least 10 minutes for her to come and acknowledge we were seated) so we had to wait another 10 minutes to get our food order in. Of course it didn't help that I was pregnant and hungry but like I said, my review is biased. Second biased experience is that as a vegan, I had multiple issues with my food. For one, the side of fingerling potatoes also came with some bacon bits and random pieces of other potatoes and when we told our waitress she almost didn't believe me. My friends, who actually tried the bacon had to confirm for me. I also ordered the tofu scramble...and I just don't know how that was made but from texture to taste it was ALL WRONG. It was watery and the only flavored that stood out was turmeric. It needed salt and pepper at a minimum and a lighter hand on the turmeric (and I LOVE turmeric). I've been vegan for over 10 years and I've never had such a horrible tofu scramble. Needless to say I did not eat it and to her credit she actually took it off the bill without me asking. For the unbiased part of this review, and the only reason there are two stars: my friends really loved the pancakes and they seemed to be pleased with the rest of the food. This was our 2nd time here. I took my kids shopping at the outlets and they immediately requested we go back to Grace's for their amazing kobe burger. Both times they absolutely loved their burger. They raved about how it was cooked, the condiments it came with, and the quality of meat. My options are always a little limited in most places because I'm a pescatarian. The first time we came I got the roasted beet salad which was amazing! This time I went for something different and got the fish tacos (tuna). They were good although not exactly what I had in mind when I ordered. I didn't ask because I assumed they'd be similar to other fish tacos. I'm used to fish tacos being a little lighter. These felt heavy as they were choc full of beans and cheese - not exactly what I love when it comes to fish tacos. Don't get me wrong, they were good just different than expected. We finished with the Devil's Food Cake - it was decent but not quite our thing (we wished we had tried the crime brûlée instead!!). Our waiter was so attentive and friendly. The outdoor seating was perfect on this day. The boys give this place 5 stars because they love the burger (and they aren't easy to please!!) but I had to give it 4 because I didn't love the tacos or the devils food cake. We're wrapping up our week in Napa and got something ordered on uber eats for breakfast. I'd been eyeing this place on yelp, and when I saw that it was an option, was excited to place an order. We ordered the pancakes with a side of bacon, salmon bagels and the pulled pork tacos. All were incredible and it was the perfect order to check all brunch boxes. My salmon was fantastic with the perfect amount of fresh dill on the outside. The bacon was so crispy and the pancakes equally as fluffy. The homemade tortillas on the tacos sent it over the edge. Holy molly this is a darn great place!!! Michelin rated? Not surprised! I came here for my birthday, and so despite the diet could have justified ordering anything! I partially ordered kinda "healthy" ... an organic salad and some side greens....but found this is as enjoyable, tasty and decadent as any meal! The garlic pea sprouts were just heavenly !!!! This is a dish that SOMETIMES you can find at a fine, Chinese restaurant. It is a favorite of my father's... here, I actually prefer the way they make it here..... lightly blanched, pan fried delicately with garlic. Perfect! The Brussel sprouts were awesome also. Also delicately cooked; this dish with capers. My fiancé got the roasted chicken and ate everything in his plate. Every morsel. His favorite part of the meal was the corn bread with honey lavender fluffed butter. Best meal I've had in a very long time. You know what? I liked it so much I went back this morning for breakfast! I ordered the organic eggs with maple apple chicken sausage, and a potato pancake..... I asked if I could have the eggs scrambled with mushrooms and the pea sprouts, and they graciously accommodated my request. We arrived in Napa yesterday and Grace's Table was our first stop! Everyone from the concierge to our Uber driver suggested we check it out. We ordered a wonderful bottle of wine, and had the cornbread, pear and organic greens salad, tamale and burger. We don't have anything bad to say, It was absolutely delicious and our server was really great. He helped with suggestions as to how to spend our afternoon in DT Napa. We came for dinner on our Napa anniversary trip and saw the glowing reviews for this restaurant. Overall, we thought the place was okay. The food was great (4 stars) but the service was poor (2 stars). When you first walk into the restaurant, you notice the lovely neighborly feeling of the decor. There are string lights up, as well as some art and signs that provide some personality to the place. We had made a reservation at the restaurant earlier in the evening through Yelp, so being seated was a breeze. We also weren't too hungry when entering since we ate a late lunch. Once we were seated, we proceeded to be offered menus. While we were deciding, our waitress (Kelsey) wasn't very attentive. We had done quite a few wine tastings that day, so we didn't order any wine that night. However, we waited for 5 minutes while the waitress passed us multiple times (tending to the table 6 inches away), before we were given acknowledgement that she would take our order. My partner ordered a bowl of soup. The waitress quickly offered to bring me a "plate of cornbread to nibble on" while he was finishing his soup. When the cornbread was served, I realized that we had been upsold some $6 2-piece cornbread appetizer (which we thought was complimentary given her tone of voice). Plus, since it was served with loads of butter, cheese, lavender, and honey - all of which I couldn't eat due to medical restrictions. Worst of all, it came alongside a large serving of the typical french bread given to the tables. There was no indication that the table bread would be provided before this moment, and we had been there for 20 minutes at that point. Now, we had two servings of bread - both of which we weren't hungry enough to eat anyway. The rest of the meal was pretty good, while the service remained stagnant. I ordered the Ahi Tuna salad, where the tuna was delicious. My partner ordered the Roasted Heirloom Chicken, which had a great Quinoa-Wild rice pilaf. When we were finished, it took another 5 - 10 minutes to get the waitress's attention again for the check. She seemed overly gracious to the tables beside us (6 inches away), so it felt like we were being brushed off or ignored. Oh, I also had a small fly in my glass of water throughout the dinner, so I had to drink from my partner's glass. In addition, even though it was a cold December night for Napa, we had another fly buzzing around our table which we had to swat away every two minutes. At the end, we left unsatisfied with the meal due to the poor service on our special night. I typically brush off small inconveniences in dining, but perhaps the lesson here for Grace's Table is just to be wary of the upselling and adjust expectations in service. read more

Admittedly I had extremely high expectations, and it looked inviting from outside. But the atmosphere was flat the night we were there despite being somewhat busy. Nothing was bad just nothing was memorable. And everything seemed lacking in salt and seasoning. Pork belly was nice. Pork Osso Buco was ok, though not as rich or seasoned as expected. We made a reservation on yelp in the morning for 2:45, but got struck in insane traffic for Veterans' Day weekend, and were able to change the reservation to 4:30 over the phone. We'd made a note about celebrating my sister's birthday, but that wasn't celebrated or recognized in any way. However, the service and food was top-notch. My sister and mom have many dietary restrictions, but fortunately they had options for them! We ordered the cornbread right away. It came with honey lavender butter which we thoroughly enjoyed. Sister ordered the chicken, mom ordered the halibut. I was torn between the gnocchi and duck dishes, but I'm pretty particular about gnocchi (the very dense kind isn't my favorite) and the duck dish came with 4 kinds of meat - which felt like a lot to me. The tamale wasn't as appealing to me as I am fortunate enough to have access to very authentic tamales - and the other entrees were primarily beef dishes (I don't eat beef). I went ahead and ordered a second halibut. The halibut was incredible. Seared perfectly on the outside and tender on the inside. The accompanying vegetables were perfectly paired. My sister seemed to really enjoy the chicken. We ordered one tea for my mom and they readily refilled the hot water 2 more times. We very much enjoyed our experience and will definitely be coming back. The dishes were priced at what you'd expect - $33 for halibut and a few bucks cheaper for the chicken. read more

Finally, got to visit this gem of a restaurant! We had 7 pm dinner reservation, but got there early just in case there was an early availability. Luckily there was. The outdoor area was fantastic. We started off with couple of drinks - I got Yuzu Mule. That was interesting. I won't say I loved it as I felt Yuzu somehow overpowered the ginger flavor a little. Food was all delicious though. We got their famous corn bread and tuna nicoise salad to share. Both the dishes were so yum! I would be ignorant not to mention their perfect crummed egg, with runny yolk in the center - pure perfection! I have seen many masterchef contestants fail at trying to create that! Loved the egg. I got tamale for my entrée and my friend ordered black cod. Both the dishes were really good. I wanted to get their famous créme bruleé too but I was so full that I had to skip. Next time I guess. Not sure how to rate Grace's table because the first time we went there, it was amazing! The food, the service, the selection, everything was outstanding. So we took some friends on our next visit and the four of us ordered quite a few items so we could each sample each others. Sadly, it was relatively mediocre including the dishes we had ordered prior that were outstanding. I am not quite as enthused about going back on my next visit but may do so anyway just to see if it had gone back to its previous way. I will keep my fingers crossed. So I give it five stars for my first visit and three for my second visit. Rest assured, I will go back and hope that the second time was just a fluke and they have gone back to their amazing ways! read more

Grace's Table brings to mind the theological concept of grace, an undeserved gift freely bestowed. I decided to give Grace's another chance. I was craving chilaquiles, and that's what they had. I don't know if they still have their famous lavender cornbread- but no matter, their chilaquiles hit the spot. Usually, chilaquiles are made with poached or fried eggs so the yolk can luxuriously coat the tortilla chips. Grace's makes theirs with scrambled eggs- and since they know how to make scrambled eggs- they come out light&fluffy rather than rubbery. It's topped with a crema that's superb, along with fresh cilantro, a fresh slice of lime, and fresh fruits. It was the morning freshness that I needed. A real pick-me-up, paired with the coffee. The service is excellent&personable. When there was a misunderstanding over the order, it was quickly corrected. Chef Mauro Pando was conversing with customers at the bar. They have newspapers to read over breakfast. They've become more down-to-earth. The chilaquiles&coffee cost about $15- reasonable price. They had relaxing music playing, such as that of Brazilian singer Bebel Gilberto. I had a long day ahead- and they had me up&ready for it. Interesting trivia- They have an autographed photo of Julie Newmar. Interesting trivia #2- Their sign says "Local",but they have Vermont maple syrup. That's at least a 5 hour flight&nearly 3000 miles. Same country, yes, but not the same time zone. read more

The start of our time at Grace's table was seamless. I called to ask about wait times for a Saturday afternoon. The wait time was less than 10 minutes because there is plenty of tables. The waiter recommended the burrata and heirloom tomato salad. This was delicious with the creamy cheese and the barely there dressing. We weren't sure why people mention the cornbread and lavender honey so many times so we had to order this. This place is super cute! Come for dinner, make a reservation, and ask for the specials! We ended up only ordering specials. The shrimp bruschetta special for the day was BOMB! After a day of wine tasting, Grace's Table was the perfect late lunch spot! Everything from the ambiance to the staff to the food was superb. We had the cornbread as an appetizer. The cornbread was so delicious and melted in your mouth, but the lavender butter was even better! I seriously need to find this recipe. For my entree, I ordered the chicken with quinoa & veggies. Trendy spot in the heart of downtown Napa. Dined at the recommendation of the bell hop at our hotel. The food wasn't bad but it also wasn't spectacular. However this is our last day of vacation and I'm wondering if we are just "over" eating out. You know when it's no longer special and all the flavors start melding together? I ordered the tofu scramble with a potato cake on the side. The potato cake was bland but the scramble did have a delightful turmeric flavor if you enjoy turmeric and are interested in its healing properties, then go for it. The bread on my boyfriend's chicken sandwich tasted freshly made and melted in my mouth. Service wise I'd also give just 3 stars. Friends wanted a place for brunch and selected Grace's Table. I wasn't overly impressed with the coffee or Kobe steak and eggs meal I had. The meat was good but there wasn't a whole lot of it. Thin slices of beef. We ordered a corn bread appetizer that everyone thought was good but I guess I appreciate real southern corn bread not something that was more like a quiche. My friends had the apple and orange juices that they said were delicious, freshly squeezed. We had to wait a good 45 mins but were able to browse nearby antique shops as we awaited text notification of our table. I'd probably try something else as a future option. Service was good. I live in Napa and feel fortunate to have so many options for eating out! I had been to Grace's table several months ago with a group of friends and had a great meal. I can't remember what i had, but remember that everyone enjoyed their food (including me) and i made a mental note to return. Today, i find myself eating alone and found the fish tacos i ordered to be underwhelming, Home made tortilla was the best part. Tuna was overcooked, cheese tasteless( i think guacamole instead of cheese would have been more interesting), tomato salsa on the side had no flavor. Black beans overpowered fish flavors. Read the reviews and wanted to give this place a try. We came here on MLK and during restaurant week, unfortunately they were not offering the restaurant week menu till 2pm. Since it was such a nice day out we decide to sit outside, not the best idea since no one really came outside to check on us. We were sitting for quite a while without water in our cups and the sun shining on us. They were offering the brunch menu so I had the CHILAQUILES with poached eggs instead of scrambled and the did a great job on the poaching! We also ordered the SOUTHWEST TAMALE which was delightful and not dry at all. For the table we got an order of the Chili d'Espelette-parmesan fries but there was no parmesan on them, kind of disappointing.
