Grace's Place in Napa is absolutely beautiful! The atmosphere is gorgeous, everything was impeccably clean, and the bar was stunning. Our cocktails were delicious, and the food was absolutely amazing. Our waitress, Joanna, was wonderful, so friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful. She gave us some fantastic winery recommendations, and we ended up visiting a few that we absolutely loved! We had such a wonderful experience from start to finish. I cannot wait to come back to Grace's Place the next time we're in Napa. Highly recommend!
I've heard so much about this place I was game to finally try it: What I liked.. -Great local place. -Lots of seating. -Food was pretty good What could be improved: - Food was a little slow coming out. -Hostess was a little confusing Overall I was pleased with GT. My favorite dish was the shrimp and grits. Highly recommend if you are a fan. My Eggs Benedict was good, but I enjoyed the Cornbread. Our food did take a while but the place wasn't too slammed. And the service was a little bit inconsistent with timing. With so many great options in Napa, I would only come back for the Shrimp and Grits.
The location is in what looks a little town. Very quaint and Charming. Has the antique vintage vibe almost like in older movies. The restaurant itself is darling! Great menu and service. Breakfast, as some would say, is the most important meal of the day. During my weekend in Napa, I wanted something that had a good mixture of protein but also fulfilling, checked via online and came across Grace's Table and decided to check it out. As it's street parking and also limited, we are parked two blocks away and walked to Grace's Table. We were greeted and seated upon arrival. Menus were given to us, and the staff did check in with us. We had ordered family style and shared -- shrimp & grits, grilled chicken sandwich with veggie chips and butter pasta. Portions are big and our breakfast was delicious and fulfilling. The only downside is that we did ask a staff member to add a side of the pancakes and she acknowledged and confirmed but when we checked in on the pancakes, it was never entered into the system. Therefore, after checking with two staff members and they confirmed that they didn't have that order. Aside from that incident, it was a lovely meal. Perfect way to start the day with a lovely meal from Grace's Table, would definitely return in the future.
The food is really good. I especially like how all the fruit on the plates were on the sweet side, even the strawberries. I've had the minced Kobe hamburger which was really good, and could be cooked rare. I also had a shrimp and grits. Iron skillet corned bread came with lavender butter. Nice spacious restaurant with no wait around 11-12. I had the same female waitress the few times I've been, and she was really inattentive and not that friendly. I don't really like having to flag the waitress down for every single thing (and having to raise my voice), even ordering. Everything felt like it was taking too long for brunch, when it was moderately busy. Food is good but not worth my time to return.
The location and service is great! We went there for brunch I ordered the shrimp and grits, my husband ordered the eggs Benedict. Honestly I can say that I have had better especially for the price. The shrimp and grits, had 4 pieces of shrimp, and 4 slices of andouille sausage, 2 eggs, spinach and grits. The sausage and the spinach added more flavor and character. However the grits were not very flavorful. My husband's eggs Benedict was good, the hollandaise sauce needed a little more flavor. The potato cake was tasteless. The ambience is nice and the service great but the food left me flat.
When searching for eateries near our resort I saw this one and then the husband was like this one is near the winery we should go. Say less. Then I saw they had the gravalax salmon that I wanted to try. I always get the bagel and lox when a restaurant has it. Living in Illinois it's far and few between. So that was exactly what I ordered. I like it. It's not smoked and I can't really explain the taste. However, I didn't get the fuzziness On the roof of my mouth that I sometimes get with lox. It was sliced thinner and I liked that too. I didn't try my husband's pancakes but the fingerling potatoes were delicious. Our server was efficient. They knew when and how to bring everything out. The couple seated next to us, I later found out my husband struck up a conversation because he thought the wife was Viola Davis. So now he tells people we met Viola in Napa.
The service was phenomenal! Just a little girls trip and our first stop for dinner didn't disappoint!

The egg and pulled pork taco was excellent Unfortunately they sold out of grace's cinnamon iced rolls so order as soon as you sit down to hopefully get them
This place was a must try for a few of us during the wine weekend trip for the long holiday. I myself have never been but have heard of this place and is on our list. Of course it's right in the heart of downtown so it was perfect for after dinner stroll. We had an early reservation which when we arrived, majority of the tables were empty. There's both indoor and outdoor seating. A few tables along the front patio as well as a bigger sectioned outdoor patio along the side of the restaurant. Indoor is just one big room. There's a bar counter but I don't remember if you can utilize it. Our waitress was a major doll. The sweetest ever and very friendly. Made sure that we were well taken cared off the whole time. Menu wise for both drinks and food was quite nice. I think we were all wined out after the afternoon tasting....lol... So a little cocktail here and there was tried. Food wise, there was a big group so a bunch of starters was had to share. The pork belly was delicious, small but tasty. It was basically just enjoying a nice thick piece of bacon with roasted apples with a glaze. That was a favorite amongst everyone. Prosciutto and burrata with grilled strawberries and micro greens and a balsamic glaze. You can't go wrong with burrata, it was delicious. The cast iron corn bread with lavender honey was another favorite. Something so simple yet so delicious. There was another dish in a grape leaves but I don't remember ordering it. It was tasty. Also, I could have sworn we ordered the beet salad but didn't get it...lol... Could be wrong. Anyways, starters were nice. Entrees, another mix of everything had. We each ordered our own but ended up passing things around to share. The duck confit didn't sound that interesting but someone ordered it and it was quite delicious. Think that was the best dish out of everything we had. The steak and fries were good, did like the seasoning used for the fries. The shrimp boil was ok, sort of flavorless in my opinion. Potatoes, sausage, bell peppers, onions, corn, shrimp tossed in a lobster broth. It was good but lacking some seasoning. Not your traditional shrimp boil as you would think with the loaded seasoning. Roasted chicken with the wild spring vegetables and wild rice pilaf. It's chicken, decent and moist. Still pretty tasty. The halibut with the roasted mix veggies. Nice piece of meat cooked nicely. Classic gnocchi in basil pesto, simple but good. The short rib which I believe was the special. A few piece of meat, with mashed potatoes, grilled onions and corn on the cob. It was good, meat was tender and flavorful. Also a side order of the onion rings which was also a favorite. Nice thick piece with grated Parmesan. Of course we still had to get dessert after all that. Two different one, the cheesecake with fresh fruit and the shortbread cake with creme and fruit. Both were quite tasty and a nice way to finish off a meal even though we were full. Overall, the service was top notch. Service was amazing and our waitress was a major doll. The sweetest and friendliest. Made us feel so welcomed. Drinks, quite good. Food, there was some hit and misses. We did enjoy ourselves and had a nice time. Location is amazing in the heart of downtown. I believe everything is street parking. Another place off the list.
Service was efficient and speedy! We were expecting to wait ~30 minutes for a table but got seated in 8. There's a lot of bustle here during the brunch rush but once you're seated it's easy to relax and enjoy yourself. The place is large but just small enough to still feel cozy. I don't usually order dishes I've never heard of before, but when our server read the Turkish Eggs special and mentioned the yogurt, dill, salmon, and poached eggs, I couldn't say no! I was pleasantly surprised by how well the smoked salmon and yogurt dill sauce went together, made better by the runny yolk of a perfectly poached egg. I would absolutely go back just for that special. The pancakes were fluffy and delicious, though you can only get so excited about pancakes. Chilaquiles were delightfully savory, the plate was practically licked clean. Overall it's a great brunch spot for any weekend occasion!
Busy Sunday morning in a cute place. Service was prompt and friendly. Unfortunately we were both disappointed. My $24 Eggs Benedict was served with a bland Hollandaise sauce that was completely lacking in character. The potato cake that was served with it was small, bland and cold. My wife commented that it tasted like a frozen hash brown that had been undercooked. The $28 shrimp and grits included four shrimp of questionable quality, several small slices of sausage and almost no grits. Neither entrée was bad, but at these price points they should've been much much better.
My girlfriend and I stopped by Grace's Table for brunch while in Napa, and overall it was a great experience. She ordered the shrimp and grits, and I went with the chilaquiles, plus we both got iced vanilla lattes. I'll admit--I'm not a big grits person, so her dish wasn't really for me, but the chilaquiles were incredible. Easily the highlight of the meal. The space itself is pretty packed with tables, so it can feel a little cramped, but it's clean and has a great atmosphere. There's tons of natural light, and they have a wall that opens up, which lets in fresh air and makes the place feel more open. Overall, we had a really solid dining experience. If we find ourselves back in Napa, we'll definitely be back.
We had an extraordinary meal/experience at Grace's Table. Thank you! Our appetizer was fantastic! I apologize... it must not have been on the menu so I can't tell you exactly what it was. But I can say it was two types of sausage with crusty break and a few pickled veggies. It was SO good. You can see the picture. If they have it when you go (and you NEED to go!), get it. We ordered a bottle of wine. It was very good. Mark ordered the Kabocha Squash Gnocchi. He said it was very good, but I must say it didn't look like a lot of food. I ordered the Cassoulet because everyone on Yelp raves about it. Well... add me to the list! Oh my goodness, it was SO freaking delicious! The duck was tender, the sausage was delicious, the beans were so tasty. What a delight. We could have easily split it; it was a TON of food! Would I get it again? You betcha! And I was shocked, but they had a porter float as an option for dessert. The first porter float I had (and still the best) was at Saturn in Berkeley. Grace's porter float... not so great. It keeps this review from being a five star review. It needed more ice cream and it was served with a Stout. Now I'm not a beer snob and I don't know if a Stout and a Porter are the same thing, but they have different names so I'm thinking they are two different types of beer. Anyway, it would have been great with the Stout if only there had been more ice cream. Please sir, I'd like some more. Still and all... what a great meal. When we come back to Napa, we will come back to Grace's Table, for sure. read more
Stopped here for brunch on the way to Napa wineries. My cousins GF has been here before and she recommended it and it did not disappoint. I don't think this place takes reservations so come early to grab a seat because it gets packed. We got here at around 10am and had to wait 15-20min to get seated. Once seated, service was very friendly and quick. Iron skillet cornbread with lavender honey butter: This was our starter to share. We got 4 pieces. I thought the cornbread was supposed to be cooked in an iron skillet but I think it had some grill marks on it... anyway... the cornbread was pretty average and a bit dry in my opinion but that lavender honey butter was BOMB. Eggs Benedict, Canadian bacon, artisan english muffin, herbed hollandaise,peperonata potato cake: This was a pretty solid dish. The flavors were excellent and that hallandaise sauce was so good. My only complain is that one of the two eggs was busted before it got to the table :(. They should've replaced it before serving... Grilled chicken sandwich with rosemary aioli, grilled onion, provolone, butter lettuce, focaccia, house made pickles, with root vegetable chips: One of the healthier choices I think. This was one of the few breakfast places near our Airbnb that was dog friendly. We walked to this place and were seated outside. **FYI** if you are bringing your dog, they only let you do so in parties of two since the patio is pretty small. Luckily it was a nice sunny day so we did not mind. They have a good wine/ beer selection. We got a mimosa and a glass of french champagne, but were excellent. I got the chilaquiles and my mom got the breakfast tamale. We also ordered the cornbread with the honey butter. Everything was excellent! the flavor was amazing. The only reason i am not giving this 5 stars is because our waitress wasn't very friendly, i am not sure it was because it was the day after Christmas and she did not want to be there or what but we were trying to converse and be friendly with her and she did not do the same back. read more

The best part of our dining experience was the friendly server. We dropped by for an early dinner so the restaurant was only a quarter full. We started with the skillet cornbread with lavender honey butter. It didn't arrive in a skillet which was fine except the cornbread was tepid, and a long hair was stuck to the bottom of one of the pieces of corn bread. The server exchanged the cornbread for us, and the next one was nice and hot. I liked the lavender butter too. Next I paid $3 extra to add a crispy fried poached egg to the top of the arugula fig prosciutto salad. The salad was good, but the egg yolk was fully cooked. I was expecting a runny yolk. Grace, you had me at cornbread and Lavander Butter.... I literally wanted to order 10 of the cornbread to go!!! Then I heard my inner conscience say "calm down, keep it classy". It's such an unusual combo, but it tastes superb! Drive to napa just for this and you won't regret it! I came on a saterday brunch with a small group. We shared everything we ordered. Quiche, pancakes, cornbread and lavender butter, nicoise salad, and chicken tenders with fries (my little nephew picked this one). All of the above were yummie with no complaints. Our server was so sweet! I'm so mad that I forgot her name because she was adorable. She took personal interest and made sure we were taken care of. Eat here, and be happy! read more
This place was packed! I was really excited to try this place out because it looked really good on yelp. However, at the end I left kinda disappointed . I ordered the eggs Benedict. That was okay. The hollandaise sauce needed more flavor and the English muffin was too thick. I felt like i was just eating bread . 2/5 My friends ordered the pancakes and omg it was so delicious . The pancakes alone at this place gets a 5/5. It's one of the best pancakes I ever tasted in my life !!! Thinking about it makes my mouth watery. The onion rings were good but I think it was a bit too soft and needed to be a bit crunchier. That can be easily fixed if you tell the waiter or waitress to make it more crispy. So I would give it 4/5 . The batter that was used for the onion rings tasted garlicky and cheesy was very good! (maybe my taste buds was mixing it up with the fries) Fries was delicious! Crispy and great taste ! 5/5 We had a good waiter and he made sure our meal was delicious! However, some of the workers there were rude. They kept on accidentally kicking my chair or maybe purposely. This place had really good reviews, because of which me and my friends decided to visit this place for brunch on a Sunday morning. Wait time was ~45mins. It is located in the center of Napa downtown. They had a very limited menu to order from. We started off with some strawberry and peach bellinis with corn bread which were probably the highlight of this brunch. I ordered a plate of pancakes and chilaquies for mains. Pancakes were soft and fluffy. Chilaques were a little disappointing. The eggs were bland and the tortillas were soggy and chewy to eat. We ordered hot sauce to make up for the taste, but it did not help much. My friends ordered egg benedict which too was bland and the best we have tried. We visited on 9/18 and were seated at a sidewalk table for two. They were very busy. Our server didn't have much time to explain the menu, but it was easy to read and understand the dishes. We started with Skillet Cornbread which came with Lavender Honey butter..YUM. We also tried the strawberry goat cheese with crusty baguette, also yum. My main was the Gnocchi, which was good but nothing special. My fiancé had the Cassoulet, which was a large and meaty dish. Came out piping hot but was fun to eat on a chilly night. Great spot for a casual Napa style California cuisine type lunch. I liked that they have outdoor seating and there was lots of energy in the diverse crowd. Great for groups. Easy metered street parking. Sat at the bar and started off with their bloody mary ($9) which was interesting since its base is a chili basil soju. I liked the twang of the pickled veggies. The dishes were are all pretty good, but the starters and dessert were the highlights. Make sure you get the cornbread w/lavendar honey butter ($6). Pretty unique and unlike any cornbread you'll ever have. The vanilla bean cheesecake ($8) is another must order. I liked how it wasn't too sweet with the chantilly cream (sweeter whipped cream) and fresh strawberries. The standout is the light and airy texture. Legit! The beet salad ($11) was pretty awesome as well. Fresh chunks of avocado, bleu cheese, and the lemon vinaigrette brightened this well balanced dish. Scallop risotto ($31) was decent. Light sear on the scallops with a more firmer risotto texture. The subtle sweetness of the corn and squash was overpowered by the savory/salty parmigiano reggiano. Skip. I'd come back to explore more of their menu and I'd definitely recommend. read more

Food is mediocre. By the way brunch menu stops at 12pm! Ordered the gnocchi and Kobe burger and they were okay. Burger was the saving grace for the lunch as it was a juicy and decent burger. Nothing extra special tho - I wouldnt wait in line for this but it satisfied my husband's cravings :) Gnocchi on the other hand - 2/5 at most. Gnocchi is boiled, not even pan seared to get a crust to the pasta. On top of that the pesto sauce was severely watered down due to the water from the gnocchi. Not recommended (it actually made me think that Costco's sample gnocchi is more legit). If you do come visit, try the other dishes, we might've just gotten the dishes that aren't as good because based on our experience, the rating for the restaurant is sadly a little inflated. read more

Pretty cute place in downtown Napa - come here for brunch to recover after a whole day of wine tasting the day before :). We ordered the corn bread to share and it was pretty darn delicious! It has actual kernels of corn in it and comes with some type of honey lavender lard. I got the Chilaquiles as my main dish, I would say it was a pretty good choice! Kinda like a breakfast nachos dish, with creamy scrambled eggs and crispy tortilla chips. On the side, there's some avocado and fruits. There's some outdoor seating as well if you want to enjoy some sun!!! read more

This place is a five star place, the waiter neglected to ask if I wanted dessert and just handed me the bill. I just thought they did not have dessert but I noticed some great looking dishes in the photos later on - minus one star. I started with the corn bread with lavender honey butter. This is what I look for in a great chef, it was the best corn bread I have ever had. I moved on to the pork belly app - again, they rocked it with pear and a crostini. Finally, I chose the tamale because it looked so good in the pics. I was not disappointed, it was not only delicious but it was a piece of art. The presentation was so creative. I really want to give this place the fifth star, but I walked around town trying to find something for my sweet tooth and came up empty. I will definitely be going back though. read more

We were planning on coming here for dinner one evening but somehow this place turned into "the breakfast spot" for some of the family for our 4-day-stay in Napa. The menu wasn't huge, but it has plenty to choose from for everyone. We've ordered fruit plate, cornbread (with lavender honey butter. sooo lavender-y), seared ahi tuna salad with fried egg (thats something new!), chilaquiles etc. Everything was delicious. Staff was friendly and efficient. Reservations for breakfast isn't really necessary during the week, but I'd highly recommend making one for dinner. read more

Although the physical space is very nice, the food and service aren't what I expected, especially at the menu prices. This spot sells "cornbread" but I think maybe that's an inside joke, because what they serve is buttery biscuits with pieces of corn in them. The pork shoulder tamale is not bad but mine was mostly masa hiding a small amount of pork. My date ordered the chicken which she liked but was overcooked and hard to cut. I ordered merlot that was served very cold. We both felt rushed, they got us out of there 30 minutes before closing and asked if we were finished on numerous occasions when we clearly weren't. At one point, one of the people behind the bar told someone over the phone that they close at 8:30 but their posted hours are until 9:00. Grace's Table's food is not bad, the service on this particular night was bad. That's not good. read more

While vacationing in Napa, I Yelped a few good spots to check out and Grace's Table was on my list. I convinced the BF to wake up early and head here for breakfast. On a weekday, it wasn't as busy as I would think it could get on the weekends so we were able to be seated right away. After reading some of the reviews, I had to try the cornbread and the chilaquiles. The lavender honey butter for the cornbread is divine. I loved it and gobbled it up faster than I anticipated. When it came to the chilaquiles, I also enjoyed the meal but since I ate all of the cornbread I didn't have much room in my belly to put it down. I ended up taking it back to the air bnb we stayed in and enjoyed it the following day. The BF ordered the buttermilk pancakes with scrambled eggs and bacon. You can't mess up those things otherwise I'd be letting you know. They were good also. My only gripe with the place is that since their front door is one of those slow closing doors, it lets in a lot of flies into the places so we were constantly waving our hands above our food so they wouldn't land on it. The food and drinks are good for breakfast/brunch. Worth trying out for sure. read more

We had brunch here before heading over to Bottlerock! The wait wasn't so bad, but that's probably because we opted to sit outside which was a first come, first serve area. It was really warm, but not so bad earlier in the day. We had some mishaps with our biscuits not coming, but they luckily took it off our menu and brought us some muffins that were delicious! The service here is really good! It's a family owned and run shop. We saw the dad, son and daughter running around! Please come support them and their business. The food is also delicious! read more

I'm going to be really honest. I believe for the price you are paying and the portion that you are receiving, I would not recommend people to come here. Although the ambiance is nice, the food is average, not filling, and not very flavorful. As you can tell in the picture, the portions are extremely small. The service was okay, however we were checked in on 4+ times in the 40 minutes that we were there which was nice, but a little much. However, I would rather have more service rather than less. Overall, the food isn't anything too special and price is not worth what you are getting. The options are minimal and you do not have much to choose from. read more

We went early on Friday morning, they open at 8:30am weekdays. Although we had reservations, if you get there when the door first opens - you probably don't need them. However, by 9am the place was packed. Service was awesome. They had lots of waitstaff and my water glass and coffee were always full. As for the food, we started with their cornbread which is one of their signature dishes. It was good! The lavender honey butter was probably the best infused butter I've ever had. I saved some back for my pancake - it was that good! My date ordered Chilaquiles (another one of their signature breakfast plates) and they were also delicious. They had both tortilla and pieces of ham mixed with eggs and cheese. However,I couldn't find an actual dish that summoned my appetite so I ordered a few sides and made my own breakfast plate. I ordered 2 poached eggs, their potato cake and a pancake. The poached eggs were perfect and were definitely cage free as the yolks actually had flavor! The potato cake was meh. I thought it would be crispier and it had a lot of peppers that made it pretty soggy. The pancake? Well, it was a pancake but the syrup must've been maple/vanilla/heaven because it was awesome. Food was very good... service was extremely quick. You almost felt rushed and out the door. It was too much at times. Portions were smaller and priced high. That is the norm in this area. Busy busy busy... food took a while but I understand my steak was (med) it was kinda disappointing because it must of sat in the window waiting for the rest of the food. I just ate and didn't say anything. Service was slow I kinda watched people get served eat and leave. While waiting for our food.
