I was so impressed by this company and their movers. Every item was inventoried by number, and each item was evaluated as to any defects prior to moving. Items that came apart were carefully disassembled with hardware stored in labeled packets and reassembled at their destination. The furniture was wrapped with moving blankets and carefully carried out and stowed. The movers even wrapped door openings with moving blankets so that they wouldn't get banged up. A little disconnected with the front office which made the guys have to work harder ie: I said move from upstairs 2 room apartment to a studio in 'Memory Care' - they brought no wardrobes. Service requested: pack, move and unpack. Service cost $ 12k Service provided: pack, different rooms ending up in same box, boxes 5' to 6 ' high and too heavy to lift down without getting on ladder and unpacking top box single item by item. Heavy table broken at two legs was glued ( ??) back together and left inside of garage. Workers denied that they would unpack as not part of their services and if instructed by mgmt to do so, would only do it as 'open table unpack'. This means the boxes for any specific room are unpacked in center of room in a pile. Seriously?! We have to pay to have empty boxes and packing material removed. We have boxes stacked high everywhere hallways, rooms, outside, garage, etc. This has been a nightmare which I expect will continue for some time to come. I would not wish this on anyone and hopefully this review will be noticed and prevent others from making the mistake of retaining this company. I've learned, 'contracts' don't necessarily ensure the vendor will adhere to them. read more

Overall, had an ok experience with Grace Moving Company. I made a 300+ mile move and it went smoothly for the most part, but there are some notable things that bring this down to a 3 star rating. From the start, they are great at answering any questions, whether its Carissa who answers the phone, or their estimator John who did the walkthrough of my home and gave me the estimate. I opted for the full package where they not only just disassemble/assemble and load/unload, but also pack most of the house. The staff who came out the day before the move to get a head start on packing for the next day were awesome! So nice and clearly very caring of your belongings. After reading the negative reviews from people, the staff that handles your move can essentially make or break it. In my case, one of the guys named David was just absolutely AMAZING. Dude went above and beyond, and whatever he is being paid is surely not enough; dude needs a raise! The day of the move, David and a few folks come back out to start loading everything into the truck. It went well, but a few things caught my attention that I didn't like: 1. They needed to use my tools...because they didn't bring any. What? How do you go to a moving job where you are clearly disassembling items and NOT bring your tools?! It's not the worst thing, but it's definitely not professional. 2. Some staff are more competent than others. This could be due to new hires or whatnot, but a lot of my belongings were not labeled at all! Eventually as we unpack we can find everything, but consistency in labeling would've been nice. Some staff know what they're doing, while others aren't. 3. Be aware that they do NOT claim liability for any damages related to particle boards (basically, all Ikea furniture). I understand why this is the case (it's cheap "wood" that breaks and dents easily), but I was randomly told this DURING my move. I would've been appreciated if I knew this prior. 4. Some things were not as protected as they should've been. When I pointed out, "Why isn't this wrapped?" I was told because they ran out of blankets. Ok...then go get some more??? You're really gonna risk damaging my belongings because you didn't come prepared and are too lazy to go back to your office to get more??? We get to the destination and, for the most part, no damage (especially for the sensitive big furniture pieces I was worried about, so they did a great job with that). I say for the most part because, as you would've guessed, some of the particle board furniture I have got scuffed. My fridge got a small dent while they were attempting to move a couch around it. And lastly, my gaming PC got so badly dented from the back where the power supply unit is, that it no longer works! I get that things happen during the move but was really saddened about the PC. I will be putting in a claim with them regarding the PC and fridge and hopefully they reimburse me appropriately. The saving grace for the move was really David. In comparison to the rest of the staff, he clearly cared the most and was especially careful with everything. Was very polite, friendly, and willing to go above and beyond to do things that he didn't need to do! Additionally, the owner (Sally) personally called me to see if everything is going good. There was a payment issue because they wanted a cashiers check, but the bank was closed. Gave Sally a quick call and she was really accommodating and willing to work with a personal check instead. Overall, an ok move. Some good parts, some great parts, and some bad parts. At the end of the day, moves (especially long distance moves) will have hiccups. I had one day of packing, one day of delivery and one day of trash removal. The packing day - the crew got everything done in less time than it was supposed to take. The delivery day required that they remove furniture from my house and replace it with furniture from the truck as well as put boxes and additional furniture into my garages (4-stall). This company is great! From Carrissa in the office who worked with me to set up the move and had answers to all my questions to the wonderful team of four scheduled to complete my move. The lead was Caleb and the rest of the team was Casey, Sean and Henry. They showed up on time and they were very pleasant. Qualified, qualified, qualified! We were not able to complete our move so everything was stored in the garage. Nothing was organized. I explained to Grace Moving the circumstances, and that we needed someone qualified to organize the mess first. The two moving professionals arrived on time. I used Grace Moving Company to help me move Sept 1, 2022. I was in a very small two bedroom apt and onLt needed help with larger items I moved all the misc stuff and boxes myself.
