So happy to see a delicious thai place! I ordered veggie spring rolls and red curry with tofu. The spring rolls were crispy and delicious. The curry was flavorful. The service was great. They also gave me extra rice free of charge! I would definitely recommend this spot and come back to try other items.

T16. Pad Ka Prao Beef which is basil beef is THE BEST DAMNIT!!! Spicy level 4

This has become one of my go-to places in Buda. I cannot say enough about Gotji's Kitchen. They're great all around - most of which their offerings and dishes have all been superb. First off - the Texas Brisket Curry is DA BOMB! It started as a special menu in October, and it's become my favorite dish, I get it everytime I'm in the area, and I cannot get enough of it. It's smoky good, very savory, excellent flavor and spices. I have bought this curry for several of my Austin friends - all of which were just blown away by it. They just keep asking for more, I could easily be a self employed Uber Eats driver for this dish alone. It's phenomenal and it's always consistently great. My other favorite go-to dish here is the Pad Ka Prao Beef. It's beef with basil and spices - omg for some reason these guys have made the best Pad Ka Prao I've ever had. I get spicy level 4 (out of 5), it's so darn flavorful and it's not greasy. I have had this dish at a few other Thai places in Austin and around, and Gotji's place has been the best to date. I cannot get enough of this dish! I've also tried the Crab Fried Rice, Pad Cashew Chicken, Street Noodles, Pork and Veggie Egg Rolls, Best Curry (Seafood), Pumpkin Curry (temporarily), Crispy Chicken Dish, and Green Curry w/ Chicken. All of which were really good. I was pleasantly surprised with the Pad Cashew Chicken - very flavorful. Also the Best Curry had an array of seafood in it - very refreshing. The customer service here has always been spot-on great. They are very nice. What makes this place the best of the best is they offer excellent quality and tasting dishes, at a fair price, and they are consistently great - every time. I have had repeat orders and repeat dishes over the past few month, I visit them weekly, and it's always the same product, same excellent quality, same execution, same great flavors. Love this place!!

We called in our order and the staff were super nice. We ordered the crab fried rice, chicken pad Thai, spring rolls and egg rolls. The crab was super fresh and not imitation crab. Personally, the taste was a bit interesting for both dishes but we added some plum sauce and it tasted much better. We always considered ourselves lovers of authentic dishes, but this food experience was a bit different for us. The rolls however were delicious and didn't disappoint. We will be back to try once more. Definitely recommend the rolls and bubble tea though.

T11. Chicken Street Fried Noodle and egg rolls. So good
Toni S.

Update-I have been craving some street noodles forever! So I had to make a stop and get a order and a double order of their delicious pork egg roles. They are always so nice and let you sit in your car while they prepare your food. Excellent service, delicious food, and convenient location. What more can you ask for? Go try it!

I have to say this was some of the best shrimp and grits I've had. The portion was perfect, not too heavy on the grits and plenty of gravy, perfectly seasoned and perfectly cooked jumbo shrimp. As I looked over the menu, I realized that they have some amazing seafood choices and their raw oysters on the half shell are very high-quality for the area. Our service was wonderful. Our server was very attentive and offered coffee refills on the regular. The restaurant itself and bar are so well decorated. It's such a comfortable place. What makes it even better is they have a huge covered outdoor area for overflow or if you just want to sit outside. Everything about Taste on Main makes it one of my favorites in the area. I will definitely be back, I may become a regular.

Service was quick,…read moreserver very accommodating and the restaurant was clean although we noticed a couple of flies buzzing around. Did not visit the restroom. Ambience was nice with the exception of one toddler on the other side making a little bit too much ruckus. Hopefully a one off. Our food arrived quickly enough. Major Yum yum points across the board for the crawfish dip (super delicious) loaded mashed potatoes (did I mention w Bacon) and the Steak carpaccio. Below par for the Chicken fried steak w potatoes, green beans (flavorless) and I don't know but I expected the Ceviche salmon to be..more. Not entirely a bad experience. I'd be willing to try other items on their menu next time round.

We immediately ordered the Braised Short ribs as the menu said it took longer for this entree. So we ordered the Lobster Bisque. As soon as the bisque was brought to the table we were informed the short ribs were already ready. Since we just got the bisque we said hold the ribs until we eat the bisque. The bisque was tasty but it seems the recipe was different than I had had it a few years ago. Seems it was less tomato based than before but no complaints. When we go the entree it was good but you could tell with the ribs that sitting under the heat lamp while we ate the bisque had dried out the ribs just a bit. However, they were good and the sides were great. I'm really liked the spicy roasted Brussels Sprouts and the mash potatoes were very good as well. Had we known the ribs would have been ready so quickly we wouldn't have ordered the bisque - it just kind of threw off the timing of the dishes Enjoyed everything and we will be back!

First two visits were charming. Food was excellent. Service immaculate…read more Third visit could well be the last. Chicken with dumplings, the menu special for the night, was presented as a bowl of gloppy-glue with stuff in it. Waitress was accommodating friendly, and without attitude. The replacement to gloppy -glue was gumbo with someone's hair on the edge of the dish. A Chicken/BLT sandwich is something one has to try hard to screw up. And try-hard they must have. I skipped the onions and avocado, asking for lettuce and tomato only with mayonnaise on the side. The sandwich was served on toasted Thick Bread, a soggy, "Fryer-fat" non-crispy half breast of dry chicken, with limp bacon, wet lettuce, and tomato slices all on Dry Texas Toast. Shrimp Macaroni and cheese was lacking the creamy goodness of Mac and Cheese while the Shrimp were cooked with Cajun spice. This dish was no different than the rest. In conclusion I think Brooklyn's Down South suffers from Poorly executed food coming from an under-trained kitchen staff. Third time is the last time.

The restaurant is nice. It includes a little market in one section with various food items that you can purchase. There is also a seating area with couches near the market section. The restaurant has different sized tables for seating. Not long after being seated we were greeted by a waiter that did an excellent job taking care of us the entire time we were there. He took our drink order, gave us menus and some time to decide what we wanted. After a few minutes he brought us our waters and took our order. We ordered several items. El Olivo which is a garlic bread. It was okay. The bread was good. It was nice and warm and the garlic flavor was all on top. Whipped Feta which comes with grilled Naan and cucumber slices. The Naan was okay. It was a little cold and needed to be warmed up a little more for my liking but my kids ate it up. The cucumbers were fresh and crisp and the whipped feta was pretty good. It had a slight lemon flavor but not enough to where you could taste the lemon with every bite. Pork belly chicharron which had pork with avacado covered in a sauce. It came with tortilla chips. The tortilla chips were thick and crispy. Perfect for scooping up some of the pork belly. The pork belly was delicious. The sauce that covered it added flavor and the avacado was fresh. The Lamb chops came with Lamb, carrots and a puree. The lamb itself was excellent. It was cooked perfectly and was tender with each bite. The carrots were slightly sweet and the puree was soft. It was a good mix of different textures with each bite. The Truffle mac and cheese was a macaroni and cheese with chives and truffle flavor. This was very tasty. The macaroni was tender, the chives were spread out and added that slight onion flavor. The cheese was very flavorful. One of my kids ate almost all of this. Barbacoa Doughnuts which are mini doughnuts filled with barbacoa topped with a salsa. I don't really like barbacoa but I tried them and was pleasantly surprised. These were delicious. It was basically a soft and warm mini doughnut filled with flavorful barbacoa. The sauce on it added a slight spicy flavor. Patatas Bravas are potatoes with salsa and a garlic aioli sauce. These were very tasty. That salsa and aioli sauce are what gave this dish all of its yummy flavor. The potatoes had a crispy exterior with a soft interior. All of the ingredients mixed together made a very good side dish. One of my sons ordered the Dos Olivos Burger with Tater Tots. He said that the burger was okay. I tried it and I agreed. The tater tots were good. He ate those up with some ketchup. My other son ordered the Fried Chicken Sandwiches with everything on the side. He substituted a salad instead of the fries. He ate the salad up. He also ate the Fried chicken from the sandwich. He said it was good. He is not a fan of sesame seed bread so he opted not to eat the bun. I tried the red cabbage apple slaw that it comes with and it was okay. Lastly I ordered the Beet Salad which comes with beets, pears, and candied pecans. I don't usually eat beets but I wanted to try it. It was very good. The beet chunks were large and soft but not overly soft. The pears and the candied pecans added a crispier texture and the mixture of all of the ingredients along with the sauce that was on it made this a super sweet beet salad. Almost like a dessert. It was delicious. Overall the restaurant is a cool spot to visit. The market is a neat addition that adds to the ambiance of the restaurant. The service was excellent and the food was delicious.
