Folks in North Hays County aren't used to the food trailer scene. For instance, the metropolis of Dripping Springs has banned them from asphalt and or pavement. A few have popped up using gravel underneath as a way to skirt the city council imposed statues. Plenty of portable action in Austin proper; not so much out here. But, what about outside DS city limits in Austin's ETJ? Party on food trailer peeps. Any kind of desirable Asian is totally welcome out here in the sticks. After my visit a few days ago, I was screaming BRICK AND MORTAR all the way thru my meal. I started with the dumplings. Interesting addition of the water chestnut producing a crisp interior bite along with the chicken. Next bites were the fried cheese rolls. OK, I admit the use of cream cheese in Asian cuisine especially sushi is rampant and totally Americanized. However, these are rolls of joy mixed with mushrooms and onion. My Pad Thai with chicken had only one issue. Ordered at the spice level 4 out of 5, somehow they had to correct it after it was already in the Styrofoam container. That adjustment made it to about 1/4 of the noodles in the dish. 80 percent mild, 20 percent of delicious heat. Also, LOVE the whole peanuts versus the crushed version usually seen at most Thai places. I swear they are just Planters brand nuts; somehow the extra addition of salty and spice made for a unique taste. Can't wait to go back and try the rest of the menu!

Quality ingredients and good Thai food, prepare for long wait time usually after you place the initial order.

Horrible service. Very rude. Extremely long wait for food that is average at best. Much better Thai options across the street

The mango lassi was overly sweet, and the salted lassi made our 9yo's face contort into a shape I didn't realize was possible. It also took quite a long time to get our order; we saw a lot of people who must have been delivery drivers picking up order after order as we waited about 25-30 minutes for our food. This wasn't great given we were the only customers actually eating at the location. The staff themselves were quite nice, but ultimately I need to score on the food and the time it took to receive it, both of which have room for improvement.

We ordered chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, chooza kebab, vegetable samosas, and butter naan. Overall I would say the food is great for Austin standards. I grew up in Houston and am used to the quality of Aga's and this place isn't quite there. I'm also used to halal meat and I don't believe this place uses halal meat so it's a little more tough than expected for the chicken tikka and butter chicken curries. But as we know there aren't many great options for Indian food in Austin, so with that being said I would recommend this spot. As a desi, if you're ever missing home food then this is the spot for you. Plenty of options and a large variety beyond the basic options that we picked lol.

My husband was in the mood for some Thai food so we decided to give Spoon & Fork a try. My husband…read morecalled the order in and they gave him an estimated pickup time. He picked up the food with no issues and brought it home. I ordered the Chicken Satay which is four chicken skewers that comes with a peanut sauce and a cucumber and red onion vinaigrette. The Chicken Satay was really good. The chicken was very tender and well flavored. The peanut sauce was okay but I don't usually eat that. The cucumber and red onion vinaigrette was so good. I loved eating my chicken with it. It was so yummy. I also ordered the Pineapple Fried Rice with Chicken. It's a fried Rice with Egg, Red onions, Scallions, Peas, Carrots, Tomatoes, Pineapple, and Cashew Nuts. It was delicious. All of the ingredients were a great combination. I liked the semisweet of the pineapple mixed in with the crunch of the cashews. I added some of the Cucumber and Red Onion Vinaigrette to it for extra flavor that gave it a more sweet taste. It was a tasty filling meal. One of my adult sons ordered the Beef Fried Rice and Added Shrimp to it. He liked it. He said it filled him up and he was good to go. My other adult son ordered the Pad Thai with Chicken. He didn't like it. I also tried it and it wasn't for me. It had a really strong fishy taste. My husband said it was probably cooked in a fish sauce. I'm not a fan of fish sauce. The noodles were cooked well and the chicken was tender but the fishy flavor was overwhelming. Overall it was a good meal. The ordering and pickup process was easy for my husband and the food was flavorful and filling.

This used to be one of my favorite places to eat. I'd been telling my friend about how good it was,…read moreso we decided to go there for lunch. We got there before the lunch time rush and were the only people there when we first sat down and for quite awhile afterwards. The server mostly ignored us. We waited quite some time for menus, then another wait to order. We ordered an appetizer which took forever to come out, and then our meal came out right afterwards, so it was getting cold by the time we finished the appetizer. The server never came by to refill our water, ask if our order was okay, or ask if we needed anything. She went to the kitchen, so we couldn't see her at all. Again, we were the only two people in there. A family came in, and she immediately seated them, right next to us by the way, even though all the other tables were empty. That wasn't a problem, but then she stood there and chatted with them and was very attentive to their food orders. Meanwhile, we were sitting there being ignored. We couldn't wait to get out of there, but had to wait a long time after we finished eating for our check. When she brought our check, she was nice to us for the first and only time since we'd walked in. We are nice people, so we tipped her, even though she did nothing to deserve a tip. This isn't anything like the experiences I've had there in the past, and I really don't understand it since we didn't do anything to deserve treatment like that. I haven't been back, and I'm disappointed to have to abandon one of my favorite restaurants.
