I think 4 stars is bit too much. If I could be precious, I think 3.7 is right. The reason why I give them less than 4 is because.. The picture shows that you can eat outdoor but apparently that is not the case. So please do not expect you can sit outside. Maybe I missed that information on yelp but pictures were very misleading. The meat quality wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. I loved the atmosphere though. It's nice if you have a smaller family. The server will cook your meat in the beginning only so make sure you don't burn your meat. Their bean paste soup hit the spot. I personally really like their soup! Park? Plenty Good for a date? YES! Wow! We came in right at opening on a Saturday and didn't wait at all, but an hour later all seats were full so come early. We ordered an intestine combo, and my favorite was the large intestine- so fatty and crispy after the server torched it with a blowtorch! The small intestines are nice and toasty as well, and the abomasum was super chewy. The combo comes with veggies and even pineapple, delicious and fresh banchan (look at those green chives!), and delicious steamed cheesy egg and soybean stew. We also got a side of the prime rib to have some meat, and had enough for leftovers. I love the extra touch of fresh rosemary, as it gave the meat a great herby flavor as it cooked. Also got a side of the tripe fried rice, and I wished we would've gotten the cheesy fried rice as it was a little too tripey for me, but everything was a hit! My husband and I are obsessed with this place! We love it so much we are coming for our third time in the last week. They really care about giving you the best eating experience and will make sure you are very satisfied with your food. The second time we came, the steak was given to us medium well and it didn't taste as juicy as the first time we had it. A server did not hesitate to make things right and went above and beyond. They brought us another steak and even hooked us with another steamed egg and beer. So far, we have only ordered the steaks. Make sure you ask for at least medium rare so there's still some steak left to grill. For sides, steam egg and risotto are a must. read more

We are always looking for good Korean BBQ restaurants close to home and this one hit a home run for us. We went on the opening week and tried a few dishes recommended by our server. Btw, service was excellent! He recommended we try the Ribeye Cap steak and intestine combo. It was the first time I tried Ribeye Cap steak and I must say, it was one of the best steaks I've ever had. They had already seared it in the back kitchen and brought it out. They then cut it into bite size pieces so we can grill it on our personal mini grill. My husband and I both agreed that it's something we'll have again on our next visit. The grilled intestine combo came with so many side dishes and everything was delicious. We were pretty full at this point but we saw our next table eating steak tartar so we had to try it...and I am sooooooo glad we did because it was so fresh and yummy! Came here during COVID times and I'm impressed by their measures to keep the quality of the meat AND follow regulations to provide a comfortable dining experience even outdoors. The meat I had here was probably the best I've had in a long time and I'm so happy to have found this restaurant (it's one of my favorites now). I was also thankful that they took cautionary measures to use paper plates and plastic cups especially during this pandemic, it's always better to be safe than sorry! Besides, the most important part of a dining experience is the food and you will definitely get what you pay for. For Mother's day I decided to bring my mom so we could celebrate. Upon arriving no one asked us if we would like to sit or join a waiting list. They simply looked at us and kept on serving other customers. We stood there for 10 minutes and no one came up to us. After we walked away thinking they were busy, an asian couple came in and got immediately sat when we had clearly seen one table open for us but no one sat us down. I absolutely love to eat large intestines at Korean bbq so I definitely wanted to give this place a try. As someone who has eaten their fair share of intestines, I would have to say the quality of intestines at this place can only be described as all right. With such a fabulous presentation and ambience I was expecting the food to match up to the price points, but I really didn't feel that way when eating here. For the four of us, we ordered the original combo (with Tripe, Abomasum, Large Entail and the kimchi stew) and the marinated prime boneless short rib. All the components of the original combo lacked the juiciness and freshness other reviewers spoke of. I've definitely had much better intestines at other establishments in the area, even those that don't seem to specialize in those types of foods. Additionally, the marinated prime boneless short rib had a really strong marinade that made it hard to enjoy the flavor of the meat, so I wouldn't recommend coming for that as well. Furthermore, the service we received didn't make up for the mediocre food either. I'm not sure if we had our own server, as our table felt neglected compared to other tables who had servers coming back ever so often to flip and cut their meats. We weren't even sure if we could start eating when the food came out, nor could we ask because the servers seemed to stay towards the back of the restaurant and when they would come close it would be solely for other tables as if they were avoiding eye contact. In the end it was frustrating because we weren't sure of what we could or couldn't do ourselves. It was a nice treat on the eyes for the presentation but I dont think I would be craving the food or the dining experience enough to come back again. read more

I usually don't go out of my way to leave a negative review but wow, this place really pissed me off. I came here once with a friend and it was pretty good experience. I came again to celebrate something with another group and was absolutely floored with how bad the service was here. Sure, we came at some off hour at around 3pm but you should not even open if you can't provide basic service to the ONE PARTY IN YOUR ENTIRE RESTAURANT. Lemme just list off everything wrong: -The only thing the waiter ever initiated was taking our order and bringing the food. Everything else we had to shout into the EMPTY KITCHEN to get service on. Not once throughout our hour there did they ever come to the table to do anything beside the bare minimum of what we have to shout at them. -Waiter probably said a grand total of 15 words to us. Everything else he just mumbled under his breath. -He sets up the grill, puts the meat on it, then leaves and never comes back. We thought he would cook it for us (like they did for us last time) but once it started smoking I realized he wasn't coming back. Not once did he check in on the meat or even step next to our table. The entire meal was cooked by us, which I wouldn't have minded if they freaking communicated that in the first place, not just place meat on a grill then disappear. Baekjeong or any other high-end KBBQ does it for you and it costs like $50 less! -The grill ran out of the fire and our raw meat wasn't cooking anymore. Obviously they don't exist until we shout at them so we did. The waiter is doing god knows what at the empty counter while ON HIS PHONE making what seems like personal appointments while ignoring us for the entire meal. -We finished cooking the meat, we can't turn off the fire and the place is smoking up. Nobody at the counter again. We have to shout into the kitchen to get someone to turn off the fire. -We ask for the check. I put my card in and within a minute they take it and process it. THE ONE THING they were on top of was taking my money. What a freaking joke. I don't know what happened today but it was beyond ridiculous. I understand low staffing during odd hours is to be expected, but again, we were the only ones in the restaurant. To be ignored COMPLETELY is unacceptable. As you walk in it says something like "Luxury Experience" and you certainly pay luxury prices, but in terms of service, I've had better at 2am at a Denny's. I paid $170 for this meal; easily could've got a way more 'luxury' experience half the price anywhere else. read more

This is my second time at the restaurant. First time I had a decent time (server was on top of it) so I decided to come back. This time the service was nonexistent. The server disappeared after giving us our food. He did not cook our food for us (as the last server here did and also places like Baekjong does). He didn't stop by to ask us how the food was. We were the only table dining at the restaurant at the time. Quality of food and side dishes for the price is underwhelming. They give you only 4 side dishes (cabbage, radish, chives, onions). Quality of the meat was mediocre. They charge more than Baekjong. I would recommend going to Baekjong over Gooyi92. It doesn't live up to its "fine dining" label. read more

The worst Doenjangjjigae I've ever had for $13. It had 2 small pieces of meat, 2 tiny pieces of tofu, and 1 tiny clam, with lots of onions/green oinions, with no other veggies. The profit margin for this must be huge considering how little ingredients they put in. Most restaurants did raise their prices due to the inflation, but didn't sacrifice the food quality. This place used to be my GO TO place for k-bbq and intestines. I probably went at least once every month or so and I introduced this place to a lot of friends too. The lady server was super nice and sweet. A+ customer service and very attentive every time she worked. But after my last visit, I will not be coming here anymore. It just ruined it for me. A couple weeks ago I went for lunch.The place was super empty and there was one table and they were pretty much done so my table was the only customers. They started this lunch special menu but it didn't look that great so we ended up getting the intestine stew. First, the portion was so small for $45. The pot they bring wasn't even filled and looked so empty and super overpriced for what it is. There was barely anything in there and the soup was mehhh.. Anyways, we decided to just eat, but the first bite I had of the intestines, it felt sandy. It seemed like they didn't clean the intestines right or I don't know what it is and the soup didn't taste good either. We decided to just order the regular small intestines (what I usually get when I come here) but AGAIN it had this smell again and when I chewed, it had that sandy texture. It felt like l was eating a bag of sand. So at this time, we called the server and asked if we can speak to the manager or the owner. But the server just said no, they are not here and did not even bother to ask if anything is wrong. When the middle aged lady was sitting in the corner of the server area casually chatting with the employees there. And when we complained, the server said it was undercooked and if its cooked more it should be better. Are you serious? He brought it back and they looked like overcooked bacon. You can not expect to anyone to eat this undercooked smelly instestines. I am Korean and I know how to cook and eat the intestines you know.. It was not even edible so we just paid and left and I will never be back again. Sadly, I am gonna have to find a new Bbq place to go to now. read more

I would like to start off with the ambiance, which was really nice. It is a nice boujee addition to the league of Irvine restaurants. I loved the interior design and the lighting, the bathroom matched as well. Customer service was average. They didn't do anything special enough to be excellent, but not a bad job as servers. The sides and the soup were good, but upon eating what we came here for, which was the medium combo of large intestine, small intestine, and abomasum... I was disappointed. Me being an intestine aficionado, the intestine was not even on par with local all you can eat kbbq places.
