STEPH JUDGEMENT: Great food and friendly service in a hip, boho atmosphere. Apparently this is the place to be on a weekend! Came for the first time recently to meet up with some friends on a Sunday around 2pm and it was bumpin', with almost all the tables taken and a long order line. The wait gave me time to take in and appreciate the look and feel of the place, which was clean and fun, with cute graphics and lots of plants--kind of a millennial magnet. It also felt relaxed and friendly, even though it was quite packed. I eventually made it up to the front and ordered an iced latte and potato tacos. I was trying to scope out a table big enough for all of us and I lucked out when one of the big tables in the back corner opened up. I really enjoyed their drinks and food: the iced latte was perfect and the potato tacos were huge, with lots of crispy potatoes and a delicious sauce--I'd say a good value. I couldn't finish them all so took half home, which reheated nicely in my air fryer. Every staff member I interacted with was friendly and helpful, making a great first impression. We were really excited to check out this coffee shop because it looked really cute from the photos with all of the plants! It was very spacious when we walked up. It's located on a quieter street so street parking was easy. They have plenty of seats inside and outside too, so a lot of people were there studying or working. They had a "fun new things" menu so of course I had to order from there! I picked the blueberry matcha with oatmilk. It was a smaller size cup for the price but I love that their blueberry syrup is housemade. It was flavorful and I could taste equal amounts of blueberry and matcha. The matcha could have been prepared a little better since you could see specks floating around the milk but at least it didn't taste too grainy. I tried my husband's pinacolatte and we didn't even finish that one - it was watery to me and I was just not a fan of the pineapple and espresso combo, but if you're a fan of that then of course you should try it! They talk to you super condescending when you were just making sure if it was your drink or not with a catty response and tone "I'm still working on yours" and when you ask if vanilla was added another catty response. No sense of customer service. The place is cute but the employees need some empathy training. There was lots of seating and I did see that they have wifi as well. Unfortunately, I do think that my coffee fell short. I got a small Pumpkin Champurrado (seasonal) with oatmilk and it was really lacking any pumpkin or chocolate flavor. The price was also a bit high, $7 for small (12oz cup), especially for what I got. I'm new to Long Beach and on a Sunday morning I was really craving a breakfast burrito. After searching on Yelp for a vegetarian burrito, Good Time was one of the results. I saw they had a vegan burrito so I decided to go. Parking isn't the best, only street parking available. After spending 5 mins to find parking I went inside. The inside is pretty cool. Lots of seating and open floor plan. Found my way to the register and ordered the vegan burrito to-go. The wait was fine not too long. Something that bothered me was my extremely hot to-go burrito didn't come in a box or in a bag. It was only wrapped in foil, they just had it on the table for me to grab solo. Didn't ask me if I wanted anything, like utensils, a box, or a bag. Anyway to the burrito. It was super hot temperature wise and really tasted made to order. I enjoyed everything in it. I think it was just missing a vegetable. But overall I enjoyed my vegan burrito and glad I tried it. Undecided if I want to go back but it might worth a try for some. read more

Great location, atmosphere, and staff friendliness, but... When my signalling beeper went off after waiting 20 minutes for my breakfast burrito and coffee, there was no coffee. Staff pointed to a cup that had been sitting on the counter for 15 minutes as mine, but the name on the coffee wasn't mine. They said take it anyway, and I did (It was still reasonably warm). Nice little spot in Long Beach. Parked in the residential area but didn't need to walk too far. Seems to be a very popular spot for people to hang out or study. Also very dog friendly. The vibes inside were chill, music wasn't too loud that you couldn't hear people over it. A section of the store had plants and things for sale. We ordered the iced honey matcha with cold foam and oat milk and an iced dirty chai latte. The honey slightly overpowered the matcha taste, but still a good tasting drink. The dirty chai latte was milky, sweet and refreshing, but could have been elevated a little bit more with more of the chai spices. Best coffee ever! I and two of my daughters work together. Due to the nature of my daughter's business we are on the go, all the time. Being coffee and tea drinkers we hit many beverage and food shops while in the process of working. Maybe we have not tried each and every coffee place but from all the ones we've tried (too many to count), this one has magical tasting coffee ( other non- coffee drinks too). I don't know how they do it! And wonderful, warm friendly staff. We three are so grateful we discovered this oasis. Even when a line to order exists, we realize others also know. This place is such a good blend of cute, modern, and colorful. The inside is decorated well with tons of seating and plants to make a meet up with friends so fun. The parking was on the easier end for me, you can park on the street nearby and in the alley in between. There is also a couple large lots in the area which could be a short walk if you parked there. Upon entry, it follows the same vibes of many other socal-LA-coffee shop vibes where there are plants, some cute little items for sale, and a slightly above-average priced menu haha. I definitely recommend the food here (I wish I caught a picture of the burrito I ate, it was to die for!!) if you are feeling a bit hungry. The coffee tasted pretty good, it seems like the service was making sure that I got something that I wanted, which is also nice to have someone care lol. I love the coffee and it's a cute atmosphere but each time I go and get the same cashier, she's been so rude and I know this place is called "Good Time" but, I've yet to have that experience as the name implies. I walk up to the register and I greet the cashier kindly and ask her how she's doing and she responds with "What do you want? " In the coldest and most uninterested way, almost as if I'm bothering her. So I try not to take it personal. I order a coffee and pastry and as she hands me the pastry, she is so quick to practically toss it at me and hits my hand with the bag of pastry as if I'm inconveniencing her. I believe her name is Dominique. It's just a strange and uncomfortable experience each time I've gone. I went back weeks later to give it another chance and I get the same cashier and same weird interaction. I understand if it's busy, you've had a long day, you're stressed etc but it isn't any excuse to take it out on people that didn't do anything to you. Especially being in a customer facing position. My husband has been raving about this place... coffee AND beer?!? This makes him very happy! Today, my daughter and I came for coffee and wifi to do some work. Being from LB I know there is always the big debate over who has THE best breakfast burrito and when I saw the reviews I had to have one from here. I had a Chorizo Breakfast burrito and oh man...! Not only was this massive but it was ON POINT! The potatoes had the right amount of crisp, holding up all throughout the burrito even with the chorizo and cheese... the taste and texture, so good! I love the vibes of this coffee shop. It gives me earthy hipster vibes. You can buy coffee, wine, plants, stickers, posters, clothing, and painting here. There is free parking lot as long as you don't park in the reserved parking spot. Park on the right side inside the gate. If you can't find any, there is plenty of street parking or park across the street in the same plaza as food for less. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. There are plenty of outlets. I love the decor here as they really are supporting local businesses. Not a lot of people here. So it's pretty quiet but sometimes you can hear the commotion in the kitchen. I love how they put the wifi on every table. The staff is super friendly here and know a lot of regulars. They are quick and fast and can even make seasonal drinks that aren't in season. I really wanted to love this place -- I drove over an hour and a half just to try it. Their website said the kitchen closes at 3 PM, with the traffic and everything we got there at 2:40. But when we arrived, the kitchen had already closed early. On a Saturday?! We even tried calling ahead to confirm, but no one answered. When I asked why they closed early, the response was vague -- no apology, just that they had decided to close. If you can't handle staying open until your posted time, maybe it's time to update your hours to reflect that. It's not fair to customers who make the effort to come based on what you advertise. To top it off, I went to order a pastry instead, and there was a fly in the pastry case. That was the final straw -- it really showed a lack of attention to detail and care. The customer service just wasn't there, and it felt like my time and effort didn't matter. We tried: S'mores Latte, Iced: Found on a rotating seasonal specials menu, this latte was about $6.50 for a small BUT it was like the most delicious drink with a pretty significant caffeine kick. Sweet but not overly sugary, while maintaining a distinctive robust coffee/dark chocolate-y bitterness. Absolutely worth it and am now forever sold on these people's magical barista skills. Breakfast Burrito: Yes, it's true -- it's smaller than average. However, this little burrito is a carb-loaded masterpiece and you will likely be satisfied. Crammed with super seasoned fried potatoes, slightly yolk-y eggs, oozing cheese, toasted peppers, and delicious chipotle crema, it's a behemoth in disguise. You can add bacon, chorizo, and/or avocado for $2 each, but we tried it as is and it was bomb. Chorizo Tacos: Didn't catch a picture of these because they are a hot mess express, but these were absolutely amazing. Huevos con chorizo, a generous smattering of crema, and stretchy melted Oaxaca cheese. Make sure you grab a fork and napkins before delving into this container.
