Honestly, The Pinoy Food Is So Good! I Come Here For Plate Lunch. I Come Here For The Banana Lumpia. I Come Here For The Pandisal Bread... The Service And The Dining Areas Aren't to Shout For Joy For... But, It Works.

I'm not sure why this place is listed to be "permanently closed" when it's very much open. I grabbed a plate of pancit with fried chicken and it was good but I wish I got a bbq chicken skewer or something else. 7/10 on the service because they were kinda slow but I love me some Filipino food. Usually I'm picky with Filipino food but this one hit my craving. They also have an arrangement of drinks and other grocery items, as well as fresh baked pastries or breads like pan de sal. It's a small restaurant with a takeout style cafeteria option. People can eat inside as they wish. There's a lot of different food choices in this shopping center but I was craving Filipino!! Pancit Bihon 8/10 Fried Chicken 8/10 Ube roll bread 9/10

I USED to like the lumpia before, but that changed after today. The lumpia at the Ewa Beach location somehow shrank and got short in length. It was tough to eat and the noodles inside were very hard. It was THE worst lumpia I have ever eaten. It was short, torn, and fried. 1 star for good sauce.

Why did I come here? Just craving for a quick breakfast, I came here. The service is ok but the food is well I should just stick with dessert. I know you read my Waipahu Golden Coin review. Even through the food is on a hot plate under lights. My food was cold. How cold? Cold enough for me to put the sweet longganisa in the microwave. And I only live five mins away from this place. The pancit was hard and I threw away half of it. Overall one star. Food not the greatest here but I'm sure the pandasal is good.

Dear Pandesal, I terribly miss you. I miss the way you smelled when I walked into the room. I miss the way you felt in my mouth as I bit down to your outer crisp met with a soft inner goodness. I miss hearing that ding from the bell announcing your entrance. I miss the way you made me feel when it was all said and done. I miss you! Do you miss me? I think of you on two occasions that's Day and Night! Kim C. I moved to San Diego and have searched all over for a place that sells make it when you order pandesal to no avail. What: Golden Coin started in Hawaii it's a Filipino fast food and bake shop. There are 7 locations on Oahu and 1 on Maui. This location is small. There is seating inside and outside. Where: Located in the Lualani shopping mall near Teddy's Bigger Burgers and next to Ross. Parking: Tons of free parking. The food: It varies by location. You walk through a line and the food is ready for you to pick and choose. You can choose ala carte, mini, 2 choices or 3 choices. I like the breakfast deal for your choice of bacon, langanisa, tocino, or Daing (fish). It also comes with rice and an egg for $5.25. Though this location is small they offer a variety of desserts. There are individual sizes to party sizes. For dessert I like the ube roll, cascaron, and the turonitos with saba. Service: It varies. Sometimes it's good and sometimes you have to make sure your presence is known. The Pandesal: 5 stars! This is the main reason I come here to get the fresh made to order pandesal. It's $4.25 per dozen. This location keeps it in the oven longer. I like it a bit more crisp. I could eat a fresh dozen on my own. If you like Valerio's type of pandesal you may not like Golden Coin's version. Valerios is thick, doughy, and bigger. Pandesal....I am counting the days until I return home to the islands. You will be one of the first I will run back to enjoy!

Just a quick trip to Gold Coin Bake Shop n Restaurant in Ewa Beach....it's lunchtime and I'm am hangry for some delicious Chicharon....,yep there are mountain full there! I chose one that looked just right....meaty but still with some fat(!).....Josie asked if I wanted it chopped, yes please!.....the pieces were chopped so that we could dip it in our homemade sauce( vinegar..garlic...1 small chili pepper) da best!!!.... 4* Covid protocols: workers n customers all wearing masks 4*Food quality n presentation: the Chicharon was tasty although there was hardly any crispy crunch to the skin..(you see the beauty of eating Chicharon is to enjoy that yummy crackling skin) so maybe the process for getting the crispy-ness got lost somewhere?!? 4*Customer service: during most of my visits customer service was always blah...but I must say today was really nice...Josie was tops in my book! Salamat Ms Josie! Keep up the good work!!

During the holidays, you have to call days in advance because they run out of pancit!! Couple weeks ago, on a Saturday evening, I called to order a plate of pancit and pork guisantes, 5:30 pm, but they were sold out. That's how beloved Juliez is to the Kapolei community. And the nice thing, they open up early for breakfast, at 7 am. When we have family coming in first thing in the morning, we having breakfast at Juliez not the other local restaurant by the police station. What's not to love? One of our other favorites is shrimp sarciado. It's like a shrimp omelette with whole shrimp, head and shell on, tomatoes, onions, garlic and eggs. Without the shrimp shell on, this dish would not be the same as all the juices sit in the shell. Yup, I've seen locals and tourists visit Juliez for breakfast and order the pancakes. It's nice to see when the tourists try something different and go into beast mode. As far as the interior, not fancy at all but that's ok. Individuals and families enjoy having a meal here. Dishes can be ordered family style or plate lunch style with two or three choice. And everything is reasonably priced. Staff there, although they may not know our names but they know our faces. All are very pleasant. Two things that I wish they had on the menu, tortang talong (eggplant omelette) and a family pack. However, the eggplant omelette maybe an off menu item like the arroz caldo (chicken porridge). I'll ask next time I'm there.

And after the smoke settled I have to say these Pancakes are the real deal. By the looks of it you can say they look like any other Pancakes but after one bite it was truly magical. The Pancakes were super light and fluffy and couldn't stop eating it. I'm glad it came out before my Lechilog so I could dig into it right away. Pro tip, don't let these Pancakes just sit idle on your plate it has to be eaten right away just like eating a Malasada. The only other Pancake that I had that was better than this was at the Four Season's in Wailea Maui. To be frankly honest even if you're not a big fan of Filipino Food I would just come here for the Pancakes As for the Lechilog it was ok. Nothing that would make me want to order it again. The draw here to me is the Pancakes and I would once again make that trek out to Kapolei to get my Pancake Craving. Julie'z is definitely an icon here in Kapolei as it was crazy packed and was lucky to snag a table for one. Friendly Service cool atmosphere. The kalbi sauce soaking into the rice was the perfect balance of flavors. Same for the calamansi fried chicken. Lechon, I must say was also a fine example of how seriously the chefs take their selection of ingredients - as I looked closer, it had the classic 5 layers (shown in my photo). Usually, this is the prime factor in the perfect roast pork - providing juicy layers of pork meat. Overall, this has been the best (new) meal we've had in a LONG time. To add even more flavor, the chili peppah watah makes everything next level with a slight kick n' tang. The egg Mac salad is a nice balance to the whole meal. If you're looking for somewhere to eat in Kapolei, this is it!

The food ordered shows up in plastic containers and every table has a huge bottle of Chili Watah... staff is friendly and quick. In terms of food I went for the Garlic Furikake Chicken with a side of Mac salad. The portions are enormous here, enough to cover a couple meals! Taste was great, especially when you add some of the Watah to it. I ate as much as I could, but probably ate only three quarters of the dish. Later in the evening I was still full, skipping dinner. It's a good spot to go in Kapolei for some Filipino-Hawaiian Grindz!
