Was recently moving from Columbia,MD to Rockville,MD. 3bdrm walk up unit to an apartment complex. Very responsive and easy to deal with company. Got a great rate competitively to other quotes. Most important, it was all done on my schedule as we got a small baby and we had some constraints to book an elevator in the apt complex. I was really busy at work at that particular time, so my wife was there coordinating the move. All she had to do, was to tell the crew which items from an old place would go to certain rooms of a new place. It was important for us that they are careful with some of the items and they did a great packing/unpacking job. None of items were damaged or scratched as it usually happened on prior movings. By the time my wife got done with the cleaning company that took care of the old place and arrived to the new place - the truck was unloaded and the crew were assembling some of the furniture and unpacking stuff. By the time I got home from work - it was all done! It was the least stressful moving experience for my family and for myself especially!!!)) I was not there and everything went really smooth exceeding my and my wife's expectations!!! Definitely recommend - price and service are unbeatable!!! read more

This company has the best service one could ask for and I would strongly recommend! Requesting a quote is done very easily online, and you can quickly calculate a price estimate for the amount of items you have to move. Booking is also done with a click of a button (and a small deposit fee). I called with a question about whether the company would bring blankets (for the flatscreen TV), and the phone was answered immediately (no waiting time) and the representative was able to confirm that movers will have blankets with them without additional charge. It is great in todays online world to receive strong personal customer service. The day itself the movers Misha and Lasha arrived within the given time window, and gave a curtesy call about 30min before arrival. They were very professional, friendly, and most of all super hardworking and would not easily be stopped to take a break. Even though English is not their mother tongue, we were able to communicate everything and there was no issue. They were very careful with items, making sure no damages were made, and delivered an excellent job. I would recommend them without a doubt. read more

Eugene, the owner, was prompt getting back to me with a moving date and time. I had three excellent movers who took great care in moving my items. I was moving out of a 4 story apartment with no elevator and they worked fast and efficiently. I am very happy with the speed and professionalism shown. If I ever move again, I would definitely use this company. read more

The moving experience was very smooth and the service is more than excellent. I would recommend this company to any friend, and is planning to use their service again in a couple of months. I picked this company based on Angie's list reviews, and the moving deal was the best I can find. The three man crew showed up on time with all the necessary packing blankets and bubble wraps. I was very concerned that we couldn't fit all the things in one trip, but by the end, we finally did it. I think the crew were very experienced and professional all the time. They helped to pack glassware and glass table tops and one big mirror with great care. Everything they helped to pack was in nice shape so we're happy. We really appreciate their service after a long day.Their pricing is very competitive and the service is top notch. read more

These guys are the best. I used them in 2012 when my wife (then girlfriend) decided to move in with me here in Alexandria and she lived down near Roanoke, VA (4.5 hours away). Not only did they agree to drive down and back in one day, they gave an awesome price for doing it. His guys left at like 4 am, drove all the way, loaded the truck and drove all the way back and then unloaded. It was like a 14+ hour day for them and they never complained or tired. They were champs in my move and I recommend them for any move...whether close or far away. read more

I used Global Moving Systems a few years ago and they were amazing. They had a fair price, good customer service and awesome staff. I used this company again today July 21, 2020 and again they were incredible. Unbeatable price, with a flat rate that included packing, the staff were so professional, hardworking and friendly. I cannot recommend them enough. You cannot go wrong with this company. read more

Eugene and his team made my move from Virginia to Chicago pretty easy. They packed up all of my things relatively quickly and made that part much easier than it otherwise would've been. I was thankful to have such good workers handle it. They supplied all packing supplies (boxes, tape, etc). They also did a great job taking care of any fragile items and packing them carefully. I was very pleased to see this level of care. In addition, the estimate they provided me was much more competitive than the other estimates I had received as well. It took about a week from the time they packed my things for me to get them in Chicago which I was somewhat expecting so that wasn't really a big deal to me. They let me know it could be anywhere between 5-7 days and I believe in the contract it gives a timeline as well based on your destination. On the day of delivery, Eugene arrived by himself ( I didn't have a ton of things) and had a great upbeat attitude and a good sense of humor to go with it. I would certainly recommend Glob Moving Systems to others if you want conscientious and friendly movers at a very competitive price. I will say that there were times where I wish other payment methods had been acceptable though. As I was moving from one state to another, I had to switch banks and this caused me some stress in this process since they only accept cash or money orders on delivery (the contract does state you can pay 60% of the balance on pick-up with a card). I do understand card companies can be somewhat ridiculous with their fees though. Looking back, it would've been particularly helpful to have been able to use a payment form such as PayPal for convenience sake, especially to pay the balance upon delivery. Other than that, I was very satisfied with everything they provided me!! Thanks again Eugene!! read more

Chris, Aziz, and Vova were prompt, courteous, and efficient. While we didn't have a lot of furniture, the home into which we were moving was a four story walkup. The guys were able to move us out of our one bedroom into our new home in just 4 hours. Communication with the corporate staff was also seamless. Highly recommend the GMS team. read more

These guys were amazing. Me and my husband recently moved to NC ,outstanding service for great price .nothing is broken or scratch .they wrapped every single item and took care of it.Deff.will use them again! read more

They did an awesome job. Took the time to wrap everything well, reassembled everything perfectly...and showed me the damage to my stuff from the last movers. read more

Did everything we asked of them within the shorter quoted estimate of time. We had 3 guys packing a 16' PODS container with mostly furniture and totes. We had more than would fit and figured not all would make it and planned on using a u-Haul U-Box later for the rest. I already had all of my furniture disassembled and half of it wrapped. These guys listened to which items were most important and packed the POD as efficiently as possible. Pleased with their service. $125/hr for 3 guys, 3 story house. read more

I have moved here thanks to their help. It was a really easy and no-stress move. They got all the necessary stuff packed real nice and moved everything smoothly into the truck. I was even glad that they were easy to talk to, which lessens the amount of burden during the move. Quote was good and competitive compared with others and I have chosen them in the end because of their good reputation. read more

These guys were AMAZING!! From the initial quote (which was spot on by the way) to the care of my belongings, all the way to the expedited way they moved me, it was a stellar experience!! They were prompt, communicative, friendly and extremely efficient! Thank you to Eric and his crew for making my move painless and seamless! read more

These guys were AH-mazing. I did a solid bit of research before my move and knew I couldn't spend a fortune (some of the places around NoVa charge insane amounts) and I'd been referred by a friend as well. After comparing against other local movers, it was by far the most affordable option. Even better, Chris and Aris (sp?) were speedy, organized and efficient moving things out of my first apartment and into my new one and finished the job quicker than originally quoted so it was even a bit cheaper. Mine total for a 1br move 1st floor to a 1br move on the second floor ended up being around $250 -- I had purchased the Yelp deal as well. Highly recommend, will plan to tell others about Global Moving and will absolutely use them again. Thanks again guys! read more

Global Moving Systems was incredibly professional, on time and reasonably priced. The were very flexible with my changing requirements. After 25 years in the Marine Corps, I have moved several times. This was by far the easiest. Thanks goes to Eugene and his wonderful team. read more

These guys were great. They arrived on time, treated our belongings with care, transported everything to our new home, and were pleasant to work with. They were flexible, and were willing to work on our time-table, and to amend times when we underestimated how much stuff we had, and they were very fair about their estimate and their billing. I would use them again, and would recommend them to friends and family. read more

Movers showed up exactly on time. They were quick, courteous and friendly. I am very satisfied with their overall service.

Global Moving Systems handled the move for a friend of mine and she recommended them to me when I was moving from DC to NYC. The movers were efficient and packed my apartment up quickly and without damaging anything. They drove my belongings straight to NYC and immediately got to work putting things in their proper places. I brought a few things in my car and was lugging them up the stairs and the movers offered to carry them for me (I told them I was fine, but that they offered was great). I would definitely use Global Moving Systems again or recommend them to anyone who is moving out of state. read more

Went with Global Moving systems because they are based in Springfield, where I was moving to. From the very beginning they were polite, expedient, and extremely professional. The "do not exceed price" was upheld, and the movers Matt, Alex, and Baha treated all of our furniture, boxes, and interiors as if it were their own. I would highly recommend them for your moving needs. read more

I had a very good experience with Global Moving Systems during my move on 1/17/18. I moved from a storage unit in Virginia to an apartment in DC. My movers, Vadim and Erik, were able to get this job done in two and a half hours. They worked very efficiently. I was worried that the movers would have a hard time driving their truck down the narrow alleyway by my apartment, but they handled it with ease. The price of the move was much lower than I expected it to be. I paid about half of what I had originally paid when I moved into the storage unit from another DC apartment. I was worried that there would be a lot of hidden charges given the low quote, but I paid around the same price of what I was quoted. My one complaint is that the company charges a 6% fee for using a credit card. This fee was not listed in any of the documents I signed and I was only informed of this on the day of the move. Had I known of this charge, I may have made other arrangements for payment. Overall, I was very satisfied with the move process and would highly recommend using this company. read more

I recently contacted Global Moving Systems for a local move. Alik and his team showed up on time. His rates were very reasonable compared to the competition. No games, no fuss. You pay by the hours, no extra charges for stairs or floors. They will also disassemble and assemble furniture. All in all, a hassle free move (that is as hassle free as moving from a three bedroom house can get) read more

This move was the best one I've had out of all 6 moves; including cross country. Global moving systems moved me to another town. I didn't have any time to pack things myself, but Enkhe, Jose and Mikhial packed everything for me into boxes and made the process less stressful. They were kind, respectful, and careful with all of my items. They made sure they packed everything I wanted, and they even put my bed and couch back together at my new place. Thanks global moving systems! read more

Matt and his crew were great. The move came in at the lower end of the estimate and on time. They helped wrap up a few last minute items with extra things. Fast, courteous, efficient. Best moving experience ever! We hired Global Moving Systems to move stuff out of our storage unit into our new home a couple of weekends ago. We were so impressed with their service that we hired them again last weekend for round 2 to move stuff out of our apartment into our new home! To begin with, Eugene was very pleasant and friendly on the phone and helped us get the best competitive quote for our move. The moving team, which included Tagir and Vadim, was extremely professional and efficient at their job. From large pieces of heavy furniture to delicate and fragile artwork, they handled it all very well and with care. Also, these guys were ON TIME! They were polite and attentive. Hopefully, we never have to move again...but if had to, we would hire Global Moving Systems in a heartbeat. We highly recommend them. read more

They were efficient and friendly, and super fast, which was especially appreciated since we were paying by the hour. I highly recommend them. read more

From my initial contact requesting a quote all the way through to the end of my move, Global Moving Systems team rated A++! They offered the best rates, quick response times and follow up when I had questions. Evgeny was professional and delivered as promised. At my new home, they were done in record time in a two story walk up. I was truly impressed and thankful for their commitment to get the job done with no wasted motion! Look no further. I needed to move fairly quickly from D.C. to Pittsburgh for a new job. I contacted Global Moving after getting quotes from other moving companies. These guys were super professional, experience and very respectful. They were easily half the price to boot. The other large, nationwide companies cannot compare. Don't be impressed by virtual tours or site visits by the other companies. Global has got it down to a science. They also made recommendations that made my move smoother and cheaper. read more

Thanks to Yelp, I found Global Moving Systems for our move today in DC from a 2-bedroom apartment to a 4-bedroom house. I requested a quote through Yelp and got a response back quickly. After comparing with other 5-star companies for a last-minute request (we moved within a week of contacting movers), I picked GMS. They had the best rate and were able to help with last-minute packing. Communications over Yelp, email and over the phone were great. We had three movers, Bakha, Alex and Sasha, and they were awesome. It was the hottest day in DC and we had a lot of stuff and stairs, and they were in good spirits the whole time they were with us. Quick and efficient. I'd highly recommend GMS. Great customer service, stuff all got moved safely, and competitive rates. read more
