Seamless move. Issac, Mike and Ronan were polite and worked diligently together to effectively and efficiently move my family to a townhouse within the city. They were not deterred by any obstacles, such as a narrow and steep staircase that proved challenging. With a professional demeanor, they took great care in handling delicate to somewhat difficult furniture. Highly recommend. read more

They moved my stuff from a 3rd floor condo to a townhouse. Only a few large items, like a piano, and overall, they were fast, safe, and friendly. I contacted a few places about the piano, and the premiums were very high, but this company was much more reasonable. There were no hidden fees, and the movers were great and considerate of my items. read more

Global moving service really is the best in business. I hired them for my move in January. Their quote was very fair price for today's market and that is the reason why I hired them. They sent over the movers to wrap up everything from my apartment. The men were all very capable and organized. I could tell that they had years and years of moving experiences under their belts. All my belongings were safely packed and loaded onto the vans in only 3 hours. They delivered everything on time and my goods traveled quite well. I will highly recommend this company to anyone who needs help with moving! read more

Very good experience with this company. They arrived promptly at the scheduled time, and loaded and unloaded quickly and with care. Easy to communicate with owner to get rate and schedule moving day. Would definitely use them again. read more

We had a 25 mile move from my townhouse to a single family home. Our scheduled time was between 8-10am on 5/15 and the movers arrived within the timeframe, with a phone call telling us that they are on their way. Matt and his crew did a really nice job wrapping our items making sure nothing is damaged, and they made sure they did everything we wanted. Overall I was very happy with their work, and would hire them again for our next move. read more

Super responsive. Arrived in the window they quoted and ended up paying less than quoted! Movers were great and about business! Everything arrived in great shape. Would definitely use them again. read more

These guys are really awesome and professional. He concerned about my stuff even more than I am and wrapped around most of my furniture to protect it. On time, work effectively they deserve 5 stars read more

Mamuka and Lasha were awesome! Super professional and helpful when we had some difficult furniture to move out of a small apartment. We ended up finishing early because they were so quick. Highly recommend Global Moving Systems! read more

Global moving was great. It's a shame I didn't discover them earlier with all of the other movers that I've used and I was unhappy with them. Global was everything that I expected in a five-star moving company and the two guys that moved were very professional, courteous, polite, and enjoyable to talk to. The moving coordinator was terrific too. She was very responsive and very goo with status updates, and follow-ups. It was a good choice for me to select Global. read more

Global Moving Systems was great! I contacted about 8 other movers I found on yelp before deciding on them, and they were by far the most affordable and agreeable to my needs. Erik and Vadim were the movers who helped with my recent move. They were super fast! I would highly recommend these movers, and would love to use them again if I end up moving in the future. read more

This moving company was excellent and very professional. Communication was good and the movers showed up on time in the middle of a blizzard. The movers were friendly and quick, but they handled my items with care. This company is also a great value and my cost ended up being below the quote. Highly recommend! read more

The movers were great. Very fast, professional, and efficient. Communication with the main office left much to be desired, and we started about 30 minutes later than planned, but those are minor complaints, considering everything appears to have been delivered without any damage. read more

I do not like to give negative reviews, however after my experience, I feel obligated to warn others not to use this service. I've moved numerous times in the last 10 years, and this was by far my worst experience. First, when I booked my move date, they sent the movers a MONTH early to my address even though the paperwork clearly stated March and not February. That should have been the first red flag. Secondly, the movers themselves were completely unprofessional. They were supposed to come between 1-4pm. I called at 1:30 when I had not heard from them, and the dispatch said they just finished a job. I got in touch with the driver and he said he would be there in 20 minutes, however, they did not show up for another hour, citing traffic (this seems to be a typical excuse for them). When they got to my building, they hit the building with their truck while backing into the loading dock - which thankfully I will not be charged for. When they did move my belongings, they did so with little care. At the end of the move, I ended up with (1) cosmetic damage to my dresser, which they claimed was "there before I moved" and (2) A broken drawer to an expensive desk. When I pointed out the damage to my desk, the at first completely refused to acknowledge it and told me it was like that before. However, I witnessed them turn the desk upside down and watched two of my drawers fall out. I finally had to get on the phone with their supervisor to have it acknowledged. Now that I have unpacked, I have also found a broken picture frame and a broken vase (both which was wrapped in three layers of bubble wrap and in a box marked "fragile"). Also, while moving the furniture into my apartment, the movers had a terrible attitude and were combative and dismissive about where I told them to place the bigger objects. By the end of the experience, I was almost in tears. I will say they were fairly quick with the move, however, they prioritized speed over care with my belongings. Overall these movers were completely unprofessional. As someone who has moved many times (including a 400+ mile move), I can say with some certainty that you should avoid these movers at all costs. read more

The Global guys just got finished moving all our stuff to our new place and they did an amazing job. It was a local move, less than 10 miles, and they did it all quickly and carefully. Three guys with one truck for a 3-bedroom move into a 2-bedroom place. They were very communicative, made sure I knew up front about the costs and terms and everything; they were friendly and willing to help rearrange furniture at the destination. Everything arrived safely, they wrapped everything well in blankets and then cleaned up all their supplies afterward (previous moving companies I've used just left their wads of tape lying around). Their quote was also very reasonable. Highly recommend these folks! Easiest and most pleasant move I've ever had (and I've moved a lot). read more

This is best moving company I have ever met. They are smart, fast, and willing to help.

Excellent and affordable service. I was so happy I hired them. They're very efficient and good at what they do. This is how a moving company should be. read more

After having the movers I called before cancel on me I decided to give Global Moving a try based off their yelp reviews. I was happily surprised with their professionalism and their ability to adjust. They were able to help with my move with me giving them only one day notice. They movers were nice, pleasant and kept me informed on everything that was happening. They showed up on time and worked with a sense of urgency. I would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for movers, they offered great service at a reasonable price. read more

I just finished my move with GMS and they were so great! My original apartment had a lot of rules and stipulations for movers and these guys were super amenable to my needs and what was needed of them from the building. They came on time, got right to work, and were really careful with all of my belongings. They quickly loaded their truck and got moving to the new apartment, where they were swift and meticulous about putting my stuff exactly where I needed it. The men who came for my move were kind and helpful, and they helped ease a lot of my stress on moving day. I definitely would recommend this company for an in-DC move because these guys are good at what they do and you will save yourself an incredible amount of headache and strain. Thank you all for a safe and fun move! read more

I worked with Eugene to book my move. He was very polite and informative, and his prices were competitive with all other options I researches. I had a team of two movers pack up my 1 bedroom apartment in DC. They did a full packing job, and I did very little preparation before they arrived. They started at 10am and finished at 6pm. All of my items were treated with care. In addition, I had another item I wanted them to pick up in Illinois on the way to Denver (my final destination). They added that additional pickup for only $100. Unfortunately, due to a death in the family, I was not able to be at the destination when the movers dropped off my items. However, they were very flexible, and they agreed to meet a friend of mine instead. Overall, I was very impressed with Global Moving Systems. read more

It was my first time using a moving company and I was nervous but Eugene and his team were so great to work with. Based on my research, they offered reasonable pricing and I went with them because of their competitive rates. Eugene was able accommodate a last minute request and his team was super flexible. I was also impressed with Mark and the other mover, they paid special attention to the walls and placed my furniture exactly where I wanted. I cannot recommend them enough and will definitely use them again in the future! read more

The movers were on time and professional. I am very happy with the moving part and definitely recommend this company if you are looking to move. I have one recommendation to the company: improve the estimates you give. The person that did my quote over the phone greatly underestimated the time it would take to move one bedroom apartment from Falls Church, VA to Rockville, MD so I ended up paying double what I was quoted in the estimate. I was a little upset about this since almost double becomes an unexpected cost. If you do not like surprises make sure you get a realistic estimate before moving. I still give this company 5 stars because they are professional, reliable, and pleasant to communicate with. I would hire them again but I would take more time questioning their estimates... Movers Chris, Valijon, and Azamat were a great team! read more

I had a great experience with this company. They arrived on time, were courteous and made the move quickly and efficiently. I would definitely recommend them and will be using them in the future. read more

Global Moving Systems did an excellent job with our recent move. Price was reasonable compared to many of the quotes I received from other movers. They were on time within the window provided and kept me up to date on arrival time. When it came to packing the truck and moving the big items like furniture, the movers were organized, diligent, careful, and efficient. Everything was wrapped in a moving blanket and taped to keep our items safe! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for knowledgable and reliable movers in the area. read more

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. For anyone looking to move to or from the DC metro area, I highly recommend this company. This summer I moved from DC to the New York City area. For the first time in my career, my employer couldn't find movers for me by the time I needed to start my new position, and I had to find help in a short timeframe. GMS not only booked my move on a two week notice, but also gave me an exact, flat-rate estimate that was below what I was eligible to be reimbursed for. My movers, Anton and Mischa, were incredibly friendly and performed the fastest packing service and loading I've experienced in my 10-year military career. When they were almost finished loading, I asked them if they thought they could deliver my things the next day or the day after, and they asked "how about tonight?" This kind of turnaround is unheard of in military moves. Anton and Mischa worked all day to pack and load our stuff (from a two story narrow walk up), drive 250 miles, and unload it before driving back to Virginia, all with smiles on their faces - even as they were facing a 5-hour ride home. As if that wasn't enough, all of our belongings arrived in the exact same or better condition, including several paintings and pieces of fragile furniture; they even repaired my living room table - which had been in disrepair for two years - free of charge before loading. The entire time, they wouldn't let me lift a finger to move anything, and made an otherwise stressful situation a great experience. Thanks again to Anton and Mischa! Hopefully they are available for my next move, because I will request them by name. read more

I was very impressed by the GMS team that worked my move. Not only were they on time, courteous, and efficient - but they treated my belongings as if they were their own...perhaps better. The team worked for nearly 8 hours and no complaints. The price was fair for the work provided. I'm hoping I'm in my new place for a long time, but if I need to move, I'd use GMS again. The only thing I'd change would be asking for the larger truck so less time spent on truck space tetris. read more

The Global Moving Systems did such a great job! They arrived on time, they was very professional, fast and extremely careful. I'm very happy of the service they provide me with and I will definitely use them in the future!! Highly recommend this company to everyone who looking for great service and reasonable prices! read more

Misha, Mamuka and Lasha worked swiftly and efficiently simultaneously being careful with my belongings, the property I moved out of and the one I moved in to. This was a great relief as I was concerned the quality of the service wouldn't be as good as others, since the cost was much more reasonable than the other 5 companies I requested quotes from. Based on my good experience, I can't help but recommend Global Moving Systems to others. In fact, I've already recommended there services to one of the guys in my office who's anticipating a move in the near future. read more

I highly recommend Global Moving Systems. I have used their services twice and was very satisfied both times. They are professional, efficient and easy to work with. Prices are very reasonable too! They go above and beyond everytime. Moving can be very stressful, but Eugene and his team made the whole process seamless! read more

I used Global moving for a move August 2015 and again on March 30, 2015....They are the best moving company by far. From the initial quote to the completion of my move they were fabulous. This was the second time I hired global moving systems and each time I was NOT disappointed. No damage to any of my belongings or my place of departure or arrival. This last move the crew assigned to my move Max, Ryan and Alex went above and beyond. I definitely recommend them. read more

Global Systems helped me and my family with a move from a 3br condo to a single-family home. One of the movers wasn't feeling well and they showed up with only 2 guys instead of 3. I was worried it would take longer, but Eric and his colleague were super efficient and worked extra hard. Everything was securely packed and delivered without any issues, and we had A LOT of stuff. Would definitely recommend Global Systems to any one planning a move. Very reasonably priced, professional, hard workers! UPDATE: Second move in 2 years and didn't hesitate to hire Global Systems again. Eric and his team provided the same excellent, efficient service. They were on-time, professional, and even managed to finish the move in less than 3 hours! I thought I could finish some last-min packing while they moved, but they were so fast I was scrambling to close boxes for them to move. Great company and people from booking all the way to job completion. HIGHLY RECOMMEND read more

FANTASTIC COMPANY! I have moved several times with a few different companies and this one far outranks the rest! I found them via Yelp- price was very competitive, quote was thorough and very transparent, decided to book them. I'm very glad we did because they took excellent time and care of our belongings, were extremely respectful and friendly... if we ever move again, I would DEF use this company! Really can't ask for more :) read more

I can't tell you how happy I was with Global Moving. They arrived promptly at 8am and loaded my belonging in 3 hours. It was obvious that I had more than a truck load, but the crammed all the furniture so all we had was small stuff we could move. Then one of the crew fell sick and the owner showed up to help out. Still unpacking but nothing was broken. Great job. read more

I used GMS last September 2018 and they deserve a 4.5-star review! It was a challenging move from Howard County Maryland to San Francisco Bay Area. The cost was truly affordable and scheduling for pick up was fairly easy. I would have given them 5 stars if the communication and expectations were clearer, there were a couple of miscommunication on when the belongings will be dropped off to the Bay Area and there was not enough flexibility for the movers to change their schedule. Nevertheless, I received my belongings with no damages and the movers were all polite and friendly. I would recommend GMS for coast to coast move and I will not hesitate to use their services again. Many thanks Eugene and team! read more

After calling around, I decided to use Global Moving based on reviews, price, logistics and communications. Their price was the second lowest (of the 5 estimates I received). We needed to dispose a few pieces of furniture during our move and they offered a simple logistics with no additional disposal charge. Communication was excellent from inquiry to finish. The two movers were very polite. They called ahead that morning and arrived on time. They wrapped and handled each of our furniture carefully. The move was efficient and ended within estimated number of hours. They truly did a great great job. Thank you so much for a great moving experience! read more

I've worked with Global Moving twice (in 2017 and 2019). Both times they communicated clearly with regard to scheduling and pricing, arrived on time, and worked quickly but cautiously. No damage to any items, and all furniture was reassembled perfectly. Very reasonable rates considering the excellent service -- $125 per hour for 3 movers and a truck, 4 hour minimum, billed in 30 min increments. Would 100% recommend. read more

Today Eric and his team helped me move from a third story walk up in Adams Morgan to a townhouse in Columbia Heights. Not only did they arrive early but they finished the job on time in such a professional manner but they also disassembled and reassembled my bed, couch and table. I was in awe! My apartment in Adams Morgan is brutal - lots of stairs, limited AC and very tricky parking situation. They handled the less than ideal parking situation with ease and were able to move efficiently through all of my boxes, bags and furniture. They had an amazing attitude and were so so nice and helpful -- best movers I have ever worked with!! I would 1000% recommend them to anyone who is moving and looking for affordable and efficient movers. They were the absolute best and made my moving day much less stressful. - Jennifer read more
