I enjoy their biscuits and gravy. The place is busy Sunday mornings yet take outs are fast.

Don't go if you're in any kind of hurry. Took a few minutes for waitress to come over, so we went ahead and ordered food & drinks at the same time...no big deal. I actually brought a bottle of water in with me but husband ordered a glass of water. Food is brought out by another waitress, still no water for my husband. We request to it again at that point with the one that brought out food. Still no water. We finish our food when original waitress asks how things are, we ask for water and ticket, which she brings. I go to the restroom and realize there's maybe 3 customers on the other side so the business is not full or overly busy to reflect the slow service. Come back from restroom to see husband is still waiting for waitress to pick up card to pay. We have a tee time and this has been drug out long enough, so I take the receipt to bar/desk (where 5 employees are) and ask to pay there and for the to go box we hadn't received. ***Food was GREAT, service was below par for an establishment that was maybe half full and fully staffed. read more

This place is great! Came here with my 3 year old. She had the French toast which came with two large slices of what seemed like French bread; she loved it! I also ordered an egg and fruit on the side for her which was more than enough food for her. I had the Eggs Benedict and it was one of the best I've had. It came with fried potatoes and they were delicious!!! I ordered a side of two blueberry pancakes with blueberry compote. They were humongous, so I wish I'd only ordered one, or that she warned me at least. But no biggie, I had a large portion to go and enjoy later. The service was fast and pleasant. Another day, another takeout. This time, breakfast. We got the French toast, country scramble, biscuits and gravy and pork tenderloin. First up, everything was packaged up nicely considering it was delivery - no spillage and everything still somewhat warm. Food wise. The French toast - get this! They serve it with some type of jam that is just delightful. Country scramble and biscuits and gravy are solid staples - you can't go wrong with either (unless you hate eggs and can't stand a good ole, hearty B&G). Stopped in for breakfast yesterday and was really looking forward to a delicious breakfast, but left feeling pretty underwhelmed. They were busy, but we got a table within about 15 minutes, so not bad at all. Our server was very nice, just not super attentive. I ordered the West Coast Omelette with potatoes and a biscuit and got a single apple cinnamon pancake. My husband did a build your own omelette and got French toast instead of a biscuit. The French toast was enormous - WAY bigger than either of us anticipated. Lol. But it looked delicious! Unfortunately, nothing was that great. My omelet tasted like they dumped nutmeg into the eggs, which was very off-putting. Hardly any bacon at all...I had to dig through to find it. The pancake wasn't very good at all, which was super disappointing as I had high hopes for it. It wasn't very sweet and just didn't have much flavor at all. The French toast was soggy and lacking flavor, too. The best things on the plates were the biscuit and the potatoes. The potatoes were nice and crispy and well seasoned. This is for all of my bacon loving people - their specially seasoned bacon means you get sugary bacon. As a bacon lover myself, I don't need sweet bacon. That's what dessert is for m'dear, at least for me. I had been staring longingly at the bacon on my plate, but when I took that much awaited first bite, the smile fell from my face as my taste buds registered the sugary flavor. I don't know if they accidentally dropped some syrup on it, but since I didn't have any syrup or pancakes myself, I think this is just their signature style. Some of you may enjoy though, so I didn't rate it a one star. The biscuits and gravy were a bit pasty tasting and not flavorful, so unfortunately I've found that this spot isn't for me. read more

Heather took excellent care of us, and she suggested a pumpkin latte which was lovely. The $4 short stack of blueberry pancakes was almost as big as the Griddle's in LA- which are massive. (Almost the size of the plate!) they were fluffy and light, and best of all The Midwestern blueberries are uber sweet, huge and plentiful. Equally impressive is the berry compote. The crab and andouille sausage Benedict $8.95 with side of seasoned potatoes was also eggcellent. (I know, I know...I couldn't resist. I am awash in happy post breaky bliss.) We arrived at 945am on a Sunday. Got a seat right away, just before they got busy, but we're cold as we were near the front door. This place is a copy cat of first watch. Some items are very good, yet others are bad, or poorly executed. If you are "purist", when it comes to breakfast, I would recommend Jerry's Cafe over this any day. Potatoes are deep fried, which may work in a fast food environment, but the quality is poor. Eggs Benedict is poorly executed and not balanced. Benedict has a very thick ham steak on it, muffin was not toasted, and was swimming in sauce. Will not go back. read more

This is our new go to place for breakfast the staff is great. Had the cappuccino oh so good big cups are great. Now the French toast is amazing the blue berry jam is perfect! Biscuits and gravy were yum, soft biscuits, covered in a perfect consistency country style sausage gravy. Egg omelette was delish, but the absolute bomb was the potatoes. I went to this restaurant for the first time today with my two year old boy. Start from the greeting, everyone was so nice! I think my servers name was Gavin (sorry if it's wrong) and he did amazing! He was patient with me with all of my requests. There was also another gentleman with glasses (I think) and he was also very friendly, so very thoughtful and easy to talk to. He was the one who greeted me at the front. I saw that he was also helping with bussing the table and he helped me with cashing me out too. I just sensed a very welcoming and positive energy here and I really really enjoyed my meal. The strawberry banana smoothie was really really delicious too! This place is nothing to write home about. If you're looking for an average suburban breakfast spot then this place is for you. The portion sizes are small, but really cheap so you really can't complain. I ordered the crab Benedict, but I was starving and left still hungry. Like I mentioned the serving sizes are small. The egg wasn't poached, it was almost cooked all the way through and I could barely taste any crab in my Benedict. It was just meh, but not terrible. Our service wasn't very great either. What they didn't overwhelm in food, they did in service. I had the chicken fingers - there's nothing especially great about them, but there's a good, even ratio of breading to chicken. It came with cole slaw, which was good, but only about 2 oz. worth. For $10, i would have hoped for a bit more of at least the slaw, but the overall meal was filling. Very displeased with our service. We were very friendly just had a lot of questions about the menu, and the waitress was very rude,snappy. Threw our straws down and had a huge attitude. You don't have to smiley and bubbly but you don't have to be rude either. I understand people have bad days, but for this instance we had nothing welcoming, and friendly attitudes. My husband and i never get a Saturday off together so we decided to try ginger Sue's. He ordered the cajun crêpe and i first ordered the crab Benedict. His breakfast was sooooo tasty but i wasn't so thrilled with the crab. The server and owner scooped it up and had a regular egg Benedict out so fast! Have you ever been to a restaurant and said "I want what he is having"? You will say that about the potatoes because they taste just as good as they look and smell. I got something called a breakfast mash the last time I was there that had eggs, potatoes, peppers, and sausage... Delicious! Their pancakes are excellent as well, and HUGE! I ordered 2 because the price seemed too cheap for large ones and I was overwhelmed. I had their cobb salad during lunch on one visit and it was equally tasty. Only 2 minor gripes about the place. 1. I did not care for the peppered bacon, so on my next visit I asked for plain. The peppered bacon seemed like it was cooked fresh, while the plain was obviously precooked or a lesser quality of bacon (smaller, more rubbery). 2. The quality of coffee is less than you would expect for a place with a $3000+ espresso machine. I ordered a latte on my first visit that was sub par. I also tried some regular coffee that was extremely weak. I have made better espresso shots at home with my old Giggia Classic, a $20 burr grinder and coffee from Big Lots. read more
