Okay I think I found my new spot : ) There's many varieties of healthy sandwiches. What I like the most is that there is a salad bar. With a salad bar you can make your own creation. What's even more amazing I can make my own creation the way I want and the cost is pretty economical to eat. I go to most places like Hy-Vee's and eat at their restaurant and I'll spend 10 to 14 bucks a plate. And the drinks, There is healthy drinks here. I had a hibiscus tea today. Plenty of seating and awesome food! come on over!!:)

My dine-in lunch experience was solid four star material (minimum), with fast and friendly service, delicious food at a fairly reasonable price, an available salad bar and a clean and spacious dining area. My ranchero wrap with blue tortilla chips and medium salsa ($8.59) was brought to my table just six minutes after I ordered at the counter. I liked the good portion of healthy grilled chicken, the wheat wrap and the spicy flavors. This location is clearly well managed. The team worked efficiently and I noticed an attention to cleanliness. Also, an outside firm was checking seats and tables to see if any needed to be repaired. Cool. I also noticed a fresh salad bar with plenty of options, complimentary soft-serve ice cream and several drink choices. Very nice!

I love this place. The staff was great and the baked potatoes are always massive and made exactly the way I like them. The salad bar was fully stocked and the store was very clean including the bathrooms. Jason's Deli is always a nice chill spot to grab lunch or dinner, sit abs eat. Always quiet and convenient. Nice job!

I'm usually a fan of Jason's Deli. I'm not sure if it was just because of the population that was served at this location or what, but the food was super bland. I always order the ranchero wrap and the jalapeños gives it an extra kick. Well, this wrap probably have one jalapeño. The chips were good.

The salad I took home from the salad bar.

This place has vegan options. I like that. Service is great. staff us friendly and food us amazing. Oh there is gluten options too. Lots if variety on the salad bar, wonderful selections in sandwiches. Soft serve ice cream to finish it off.

Ordered a reuben on St Pat's at Lee's Summit. Sandwich was dry, not very tasty as I've had in the past there. A little disappointed.

I could describe every experience with this restaurant but I'll leave you with the previous few. And I know what you're thinking, if the food was so bad, why do you keep going back? Well, hope and optimism. Rooting for Roots! We want the local place to succeed, but we've come to the conclusion that what they really need in order to improve, is honest feedback. But part of me hopes that it changes nothing. And here's why... my wife and I love this place. But in a weird way... allow me to explain, imagine the place as a Saturday Night Live sketch where the staff, the menu and ambiance are unapologetically pretentious, but the food doesn't deliver on any level. It's pure entertainment. We have dinner and an inside joke. First of all, for the price, you naturally expect elevated dishes and excellent service. We both had a cocktail, a glass of wine with dinner, an appetizer, entrees, salad and desert. Around $250 with tip. Pricey, but reasonable if the place delivers. On one visit we had the duck, which was served undercooked and when we mentioned it to the waiter, she scoffed, "that's the way it's supposed to be served." So feeling duly chastised for our ignorance, we shut up and ate the duck. I don't know the organism involved, but my wife and I were up all night vying for access to the bathroom. Enough said. Things were dicey, but no trips to the hospital. Six months or so had passed and finally, last night we rolled the dice and tried Roots again. My wife said her dinner was fine. She had stuffed salmon, adequate, but not great. For me, It was between the steak and the pork belly. Now I had the steak before once and it was... well it was definitely a steak. I'm not going to say much about it except for this... if you like the taste of a good glass of water, order the steak. So having experienced the steak already, I ordered the pork belly, which is an extremely tasty and forgiving cut of meat in my experience. But somehow at Roots, they figured out how to prepare it poorly. Yikes! It was dry as a bone, but only in the places where it wasn't tough as shoe leather. It had to have sounded like a rock when it hit the plate. The naturally rich flavor was cooked completely out of it, and any surviving seasonings were successfully burned away during the cremation process. I was starving so I made a valiant effort at finishing it, but it took several glasses of water and an inordinate amount of chewing. My wife laughed at me the whole time. I offered her a bite but she demurred, quipping that it had been a long week and she simply didn't have the energy. It was served with a "slaw" that consisted primarily of a plain sliced onion and slices of flavorless apple devoid of seasoning or dressing. I honestly don't know how this dish made it out of the kitchen, let alone a chef's imagination. It has become a quest for my wife and me. Like the holy grail of dining experiences, only a few minutes from our home. Ever the optimists, we will just keep trying Roots again every six months or so and hope for better on each trip... or not. If you're looking for a unique dining experience, please try Roots. We want them to succeed so we can keep coming back and having these comically terrible experiences. If pretentious irony is your spirit animal, please try roots. And Roots, please keep trying. We will keep spending $250 bucks for "dinner" and a show. PS, to add to your experience, ask for a booth when you arrive for your reservation, they will look you up and down and politely say "no" as they walk you past 4 empty booths. No explanation...

Roots Seasonal Cuisine is one of my favorite spots in Lee's Summit, and my latest happy hour visit…read morereminded me exactly why. I stopped in with my girlfriend Lisa, who loves this place so much they basically have a little corner reserved for her. She likes to work from there because the Wi-Fi is good, the vibe is comfortable, and the food is consistently amazing. We sat at the bar, had a couple glasses of wine, and Austin took great care of us. Lisa had the steak special, which was the ribeye, and I had the salmon. Both were really, really great. The salmon was cooked beautifully and the whole meal was exactly why I keep coming back. One small callout: there was a $3 difference between what the salmon was listed for on the menu and what I was charged. I let Austin know so they could catch it for future guests. It did not change my overall experience, but I appreciated being able to mention it. Brandon, one of the co-owners, is amazing. He came out and spoke with us, and that personal touch is part of what makes Roots feel special. You can tell they care about the food, the service, and the people who come in. Their happy hour is amazing, and their seasonal menu changes are superb. I love coming in and trying different things. The salmon tacos are delicious, the birria fries are a must, and I always look forward to seeing what new crostini they are featuring since those change every few months. Roots is consistent without being boring. Great food, great service, great drinks, and a menu that keeps giving you a reason to come back. Can't wait to come back. See y'all next week.

I most recently went on a weekend and it wasn't packed for once which was good. My mom got the steak salad which I tried and that was yummy. I tried the Baja tuna tostadas which had a decent flavor but they were so coated in overly salty sauce or seasoning that I couldn't really enjoy them. There was so much going on I feel like it was to distract you from the $16 that the dish was definitely not worth. Our waitress was very nice and all the other times I have been there they have been nice and helpful as well.
