    Every ISP has the occasional outage; that's part of life. Gigstreem has had at least 11 supposedly *separate* property-wide outages at my building in a single month. For each individual outage, they have sent a chipper "we're happy to let you know that the recent internet outage has been fully resolved" email, only to have something else go wrong and bring the internet down property-wide a day later. So far, there has been *no* indication or proactive messaging from Gigstreem that they're doing anything to look into why there have been near-constant outages for a month. It seems like their support and technical teams are happy to declare "case closed" and "mission accomplished" the second they bring service back up, no matter how temporarily, and show no recognition of a larger problem when something they "fixed" breaks again day after day after day. As someone who works in tech myself, I am appalled by the laziness, lack of pride, and lack of accountability shown here.

    Worst ISP I've ever had the displeasure of working with, and I've been in Networking IT for 6 years. I just opened my 6th ticket in 2 months, and I'm sure this one will get closed with no action taken as well.

    If you're moving into 95 Wall Street in New York, be aware that you'll be forced to use GiGStreem as your internet provider, with no option to choose an alternative. The building imposes a mandatory $70 monthly charge for this service as part of lease renewals--more than double what I previously paid for Verizon Fios ($25/month), a far superior and more reliable provider. Frankly, this kind of forced monopoly should be illegal. Beyond the outrageous cost, GiGStreem's service is deeply flawed. They run their service behind a NAT so my VPN and smart home setup are incompatible with their network, and to make it compatible they would charge an additional $30 per month for a dedicated IP address-- more than the cost of my entire previous provider altogether. To make matters worse, their installation process was a disaster. They decided to set up my connection in a bedroom rather than in the designated tech closet, forcing me to hire a third party to rewire my apartment at my own expense. I'm supposed to get 1000/mb service, but my service does not go above 750 even when directly connected with ethernet to their router. Customer service is essentially nonexistent, and unfortunately, GiGStreem has no real incentive to improve. When you have a captive customer base with no alternative, service quality and support simply don't matter. If you value reliable, affordable internet and good customer service, be prepared for a frustrating experience.

    Don't waste your time with them or if you're one of the thousands who are forced to use them due to your contract then we're out of luck. We pay $70/month for internet that's 300/120Mbps if your a feet away from the router and it drops to 50 Mbps downloads speeds a few more feet away. There's only one router and they pre-install it at the one end of the unit rather than centrally located so the farthest bedroom wlabout 24 feet away gets about an abysmal 1-3 Mbps downloads speeds. Considering we were paying Xfinity just $60 for 1 Gbps (Seattle). It's bad service, bad, bad quality, poor value.

About a month ago my internet stopped working and stayed that way for a week straight. I called daily and was given the run around that it is a "server issue and will be fixed soon" but they could never tell me exactly when. I eventually talked to a technician who told me Gigstreem is actively trying to lose NetBlazr customers who were grandfathered into a lower price. That and they just don't care enough to pay for technicians to fix issues so anything that goes wrong takes weeks to fix. After a week of back and forth and no internet I cancelled my service and signed up with another company. The outage started at the start of July and I had paid for a full month of internet so I demanded a refund as the internet didn't work at all after I paid. I was told I would receive one but it never came. I called a dozen times over three weeks and was told "the finance team is working on it". Eventually I gave up and had to file a charge back with my credit card company. This internet provider is completely broken and doesn't care about you in any way. I hate to say it but even comcast is better and I really hate them. Stay far far away from this company.

    I have been using this company for more than 10 years. I have their home phone unlimited…read moreinternational plan. In general the quality of calls is good, if not great. Occasionally the linked cell phone had issues but usually were resolved quickly. However, I decided to cancel the service. Without realizing the 2 year contract expiring, I used my cell to make international calls (I got 500 mins free every month with the plan) I got unexpected charge, I called them up and they told me why without any offer to waive the extra charge. We are paying 30$ for the plan including taxes, and we don't really need a home phone and international calls are cheap nowadays. The unexpected charge happened every time a plan expired, they charged me for this and that like setting up a trap. I really hate the unexpected payment and they blamed customers not checking emails, which looks like a regular email they sent every month. I was offered a better plan when I called to cancel, but too late! If I am not a valued customer, why should I stay, with the amount I paid I can certainly have many other options. You do business with integrity, not setting traps like, you have to return the device by MAIL within 15 days, otherwise will have a 60$ charge!
