Using Gigstreem has literally prevented me from working from home because the support line has closed my tickets without resolving my issues multiple times over the span of 3 weeks. I need to connect to a VPN for my work place, however, the connection is ONLY blocked whenever I am connected to the Gigstreem network (The ISP of my apartment complex). I have detailed the issue and escalated it multiple times to Gigstreem support, however, they have just kept on closing my tickets without resolutions after "escalating to the engineering team". They have been hesitant in hopping on a live call session to see my issue in real time and insisted that they will be "working on the issue after the call". I have been waiting on a resolution for 3 weeks, I even have escalated this issue to my work support and the VPN provider's support who have both confirmed the issue is from Gigstreem. I have confirmed that as well since the connection works when I'm connected to any other non-Gigstreem network. It is really disappointing to be locked into this ISP and their support channel just refuses to even look into this. read more

I'm forced to have this service at $70 a month at my apartment, more expensive than Spectrum, service is not as functional. Wifi doesn't go as far, wifi 5 speeds(slow), no IPv6, no UPnP, double natting with CGNAT, no inbound connections. This is glorified hotel wifi with all the lockdown and no support. They sell this as a "less expensive, faster, and equally functional" service to Spectrum, and so far I get faster on Spectrum, I don't have these technical issues, and support is far better and is actually US based. While this is a money grab by my apartment, if the service delivered by GiGstreem was what they promised at the property meet and greet, I'd still be unwilling yet wouldn't be complaining. read more

Every ISP has the occasional outage; that's part of life. Gigstreem has had at least 11 supposedly *separate* property-wide outages at my building in a single month. For each individual outage, they have sent a chipper "we're happy to let you know that the recent internet outage has been fully resolved" email, only to have something else go wrong and bring the internet down property-wide a day later. So far, there has been *no* indication or proactive messaging from Gigstreem that they're doing anything to look into why there have been near-constant outages for a month. It seems like their support and technical teams are happy to declare "case closed" and "mission accomplished" the second they bring service back up, no matter how temporarily, and show no recognition of a larger problem when something they "fixed" breaks again day after day after day. As someone who works in tech myself, I am appalled by the laziness, lack of pride, and lack of accountability shown here. read more

I am very dissatisfied with Gigstreem as an internet service provider. The monthly price is relatively high compared to other providers in the area, but the performance is poor. The download speed is inconsistent, and the Wi-Fi signal cannot properly cover the entire apartment. In my unit, the access point (AP) is installed in one corner of the apartment, which results in very weak or no signal in rooms that are farther away. This makes normal use, including work from home and video calls, very unreliable. Overall, the service quality does not match the cost, and the coverage design is not suitable for a typical apartment layout. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this ISP. read more

If you're moving into 95 Wall Street in New York, be aware that you'll be forced to use GiGStreem as your internet provider, with no option to choose an alternative. The building imposes a mandatory $70 monthly charge for this service as part of lease renewals--more than double what I previously paid for Verizon Fios ($25/month), a far superior and more reliable provider. Frankly, this kind of forced monopoly should be illegal. Beyond the outrageous cost, GiGStreem's service is deeply flawed. They run their service behind a NAT so my VPN and smart home setup are incompatible with their network, and to make it compatible they would charge an additional $30 per month for a dedicated IP address-- more than the cost of my entire previous provider altogether. To make matters worse, their installation process was a disaster. They decided to set up my connection in a bedroom rather than in the designated tech closet, forcing me to hire a third party to rewire my apartment at my own expense. I'm supposed to get 1000/mb service, but my service does not go above 750 even when directly connected with ethernet to their router. Customer service is essentially nonexistent, and unfortunately, GiGStreem has no real incentive to improve. When you have a captive customer base with no alternative, service quality and support simply don't matter. If you value reliable, affordable internet and good customer service, be prepared for a frustrating experience. read more

What a garbage company. My internet goes out and there's no way to find out if it's an outage unless you call or email. Put a damn status page on your website. Tech came out to fix our internet a couple months ago and he let us know that we had 2 wifi logins and one of them is strictly for gadgets like TV's. No one from the company told us this when we signed on and we were using the community wifi for 6 months. The absolutely worst internet provider I've ever had. It was a required part of our lease, so we kind of didn't have a choice but to go with them. At first, it seemed to work fine. After about a month, the nightmare started. We have 4 computers in the household, and consistently all 4 would get kicked offline. Once a day, sometimes multiple times a day. Sometimes manually reconnecting from the network settings would work, most times it wouldn't. Or it would say "connected" but the connection would be super slow, I'm talking a minute (or more) to load G-mail, and that's if it loaded at all. The customer service is horrendous. The agents (at least the ones I got) barely speak English, many mumble, and it's really hard to understand them. Many if not most don't know what they're doing, and don't help you at all. One had the gall to tell me, "Well, just wait a couple of hours, hopefully it'll come back on." HOPEFULLY?? I run a business online, I can't wait a couple of minutes for my internet to function, forget a couple of hours, and with this garbage company a few times it was out for DAYS! While I can do things like check e-mails from my phone, I can't exactly update a website from it, or do many other things my business requires! Around the time we were moving out, we began to get all these e-mails about local service interruptions, which means we were by far not the only ones having issues. At least there's been a lesson in all this, and in the future I'd rather pay more for a fast, reliable service (which in this day and age should be the norm). Cause for celebration, all traces of Gigstreem internet service have been removed from our home, and we are no longer subject to Gigstreem's inferior product and service, and abominable, off-shore, alleged customer service (really, DIS-service). We were Netblazr customers, and when Netblazr was acquired by Gigstreem, that was the beginning of the end. Our experience, thus far, with Starry internet, product and customer support, has been fantastic. We so regret not abandoning Gigstreem, long ago, and moving to Starry. GiGstreem is poser provider of community internet services, that fails to disclose they run on a shared mesh VLAN network that nearly all businesses with a secured VPN will reject for connection to GiGstreem due to inadequate enterprise level connectivity,...and GiGStreem knows this. They have been in business for only several years and they continue to rack up negative reviews. Here on Yelp they have 55 reviews with a 1.7 stars rating. And the bad reviews and complaints continue. GiGstreem - Convoluted Sign Up The GiGstreem Homepage looks like a basic Shopify template without any appealing creative influence to give the site credibility.  There is no standard  disclosure on residential pricing/button from the menu bar, and no transparency on pricing until after you click through 4-pages, Worse, are the obviously staged testimonial claims about GiGstreen satisfaction: "98% said installation was simple and painless" GiGstreem - Convoluted Sign-in After the convoluted sign-up, you are redirected back to the GiGstreem Homepage, and once again, there is ALSO no sign-in button.  Instead, you have to click the "SIGN UP NOW" button, and then taking you to a GiGstreem account login page.   Just terrible site design that role models the lack of professionalism. GiGstreem - Failed Access Point In my case, I signed up at a California apartment property where GiGstreem advertises as "GiGstream: Internet Simplified". Then I was duped with their offer of first 30-days free--like a trial--only to find that they charge upfront for a second month: bait and switch. Further, the signup was overly complicated to validate the service and the supposed 30-days free billing charge was convoluted and the U.I looked terribly outdated. I then learned, after I "signed-up" for service, that the Ruckus Access Point in my unit was never properly certified for installation-no power (PoE) to the unit and none of the ethernet jacks where GiGstreem purportedly provided hardwire ethernet jacks were connected.  I had to wait days for a technician (from a 3rd-Party) company to provide service and correct the problem. GiGstreem Dashboard - No Control of Devices The GiGstreem-My Wi-Fi Network Dashboard is incapable of providing any type of console control expected/displayed with AT&T and Xfinity.  The GiGstreem Dashboard falsely states you can manage devices, but instead is just a status board of all connected devices, without any option to disconnect any devices leaving you blind to security issues or a secure methodology to deactivate individual device connections, never mind and instant "off" feature for your children, and your supposed private VLAN vulnerable to bad actors. I tolerated GiGstreem's mediocrity for 3-days before I abruptly cancelled what amounted to a bad AirBnB commerical. I'd rather TRUST my customer experience to a provider that has a more qualified solution and customer offering. read more

My internet was out for a week and they made no attempt to fix it. I called daily and they said "we are working on it and have no idea when it will be fixed". I was told by a technician that Gigstreem is actively trying to lose old NetBlazr customers because they don't see the price they are grandfathered in as worth keeping. A loyal customer of 6 years just treated like garbage. After a week I switched to a new company and demanded a refund because I paid for a month of internet, a week of it didn't work and then switched before it was fixed. After three weeks and a dozen calls they said "the finance team is working on it we don't know when you'll get a refund". I had to contact my credit card company with all of my evidence and issue a charge back. So much time wasted on this awful awful company. Truly any other internet provider is better and avoid them at all costs. read more

Don't waste your time with them or if you're one of the thousands who are forced to use them due to your contract then we're out of luck. We pay $70/month for internet that's 300/120Mbps if your a feet away from the router and it drops to 50 Mbps downloads speeds a few more feet away. There's only one router and they pre-install it at the one end of the unit rather than centrally located so the farthest bedroom wlabout 24 feet away gets about an abysmal 1-3 Mbps downloads speeds. Considering we were paying Xfinity just $60 for 1 Gbps (Seattle). It's bad service, bad, bad quality, poor value. read more

I use GigStreem through a bulk agreement at my property in Charlotte, NC. Unfortunately, the service has been problematic with frequent outages occurring almost daily. At $60/month for gigabit service, the pricing feels high, especially given the reliability issues. Customer support has been very difficult to reach when problems arise, and the online customer portal doesn't work properly, making it hard to manage the account or troubleshoot issues. While the gigabit speeds are good when the service is working, the frequent interruptions and lack of responsive support make it hard to recommend. If I had other options available, I would likely switch to a different provider. For those who have a choice, it's worth comparing alternatives before committing to GigStreem. read more

From the day I had moved into the Uncommon Raleigh, the WiFi provided by Gigstreem was reliable. Setup was quick and easy without a complicated activation process. Customer service was very responsive and helpful getting my gaming console connected to the wifi. I was then able to play games online without any lag. Best internet I've ever had. Fastest download and upload speeds I've ever experienced over Ethernet. WiFi speeds aren't far behind, even with MANY devices, multiple routers, etc. I have zero connection or latency issues while gaming competitively. Gigstream has just started providing services in our complex. They installed the router in a completely useless location and now refuses to relocate the router to the other side of the wall based on their "heatmap". This post was written a year ago and I still have issues. They changed the name from Gigstreem but this review WILL stay visible and I will keep writing reviews to warn others until my service is fixed. It was probably an attempt to shed bad reviews. This is the worst internet service I've ever had. In just one week, I've experienced slow speeds, constant drops, and random outages--day and night. I've never had these issues with any other ISP. Tech support is useless. It's just a basic help desk with a limited script. They can't fix anything beyond asking you to reboot. I've had two contractor appointments--one showed up, the other never did. Despite that, someone still marked my issue as "resolved." I've called multiple times asking for another visit. Each time, they promise to "make sure it's fixed," and then reschedule--or worse, cancel the appointment without telling me. One rep was clearly in over their head, and I suspect they canceled the follow-up on purpose to avoid dealing with it. They keep telling customers to email them like that's solving anything. It's not. I've tried to escalate to a manager repeatedly--morning, afternoon, night. No one is ever available. I'm now stuck with this trash service because it's bundled with my lease. If I could switch, I would. I've been more than patient, but enough is enough. I'll keep posting 1-star reviews until this is fixed. Gigstreem, if you're reading this: stop pretending. So my nice building complex decided to cut off my spectrum service and go with this company. First, whoever cut off Spectrum to say you had to use Gigstream gave us no options. So many tenants in the complex went balistic as there was no internet for a while and no TV options. The building and Spectrum came to an arrangement so that is an option now, however, I had to go quickly and cut off my spectrum internet and TV cable. So the cutting TV cable was a good idea and DirecTV is terrific and way better options. So that is good. However, the GigStream service is so pathetic and intermitant. Today I have zero internet. Priviously, months back they sent a tech out and it worked for a while. It is down again and 5 days to a tech shows up. I have no idea what to do. The people at customer service are nice but the service is awful. If you move into a complex with this Gigstream option pass. My complex, I like them, sort of gave is no options and even if I went back to Spectrum I have to pay for this pathetic service. I have never seen in my life a worse company and service. read more

For the last couple of months there have been maybe three outages with gigstreem service. some taking 5 days -7 days to correct. Currently at my complex we are pigeon held to gigstreem as a provider, and as expected service is out again. Some ppl like myself depend on internet for work and school, in my instance I need to plugged in the wall for work I can not use WiFi. Instead of fixing the problem it seems almost secondary, they have put off the problem. I contacted the company when the outage started initially 3 days ago 7/8/25, they said the outage was due to storm, and GA power. Turns out that was bogus because Ga power was back on around 1-130 pm that day. so when asked the rep told me that yea we are sending someone there after telling me there are ppl here to fix the outage.... no body came or was here.... When I called around 5:40pm The tech tried to say the same thing, until I made clear they were reading from a script. I asked the tech in terms of their policy they only send reps out between 9-5 and at the time it was 540pm the likely hood of internet restoration wasn't great at all. The rep actually agreed ... this has been a reoccurring thing with gigstreem. I once was due for service from an outage. My internet was down from Thursday night til Tuesday early morning. They scheduled me a engineer to come to my house that Monday. he never showed up or called. i missed days at work waiting for the appointment they schedule and didn't bother to call or send a correspondence. Then the engineer call the next day after no call n show. I ignored it the engineer they sent then begans banging on my door... literally banging on my door. I opened the door to a guy asking did have troubles with my internet, to my response " I'm Good" and closed my door with him standing there. Our power still out and now it's 7/10 so three days no work and they are offering gift cards 25 dollars lol.... oh a months free service maybe.... Lmao I have lost more money dealing this horrible service then ive done in Vega..... loss wages alone. stay away from gigstreem... go with Verizon or AT&T....
