I bought a brand new phone, and today when I tried to get it activated, Verizon did something making it impossible to continue my chat, to call them, and even to reach them on their website! In fact, even though my Verizon wireless service has no problems with the Internet, I am unable to make any phone calls to anybody. Why didn't they try to reach me when this happened? I hope this is taken in the constructive spirit I'm writing this in because my goodness. My initial interaction with the staff here was me purchasing new phones. A young sales associate assisted, he seemed to be in a hurry, told me how his baby mother trapped him (TMI). We didn't even know the transaction was over, he just walked off. They sent the kit for me to trade in my old devices to an address I haven't lived at for YEARS because he didn't even bother to verify my current mailing address. I went back to the store thinking I could just trade in my devices when another sales associate gave me the wrong shipping label, so I am glad that I caught that before mailing my devices. It has been very frustrating just trying to trade in devices and part of me regrets ever switching service to this provider. I think there needs to be more attention to detail from the employees in this store. read more

This is getting to be aggravating and frustrating because I pay for the Verizon Home Device Protect so that if this scamming nonsense (which appears to happen to me quite frequently) continues I have some help to get the computer fixed. Verizon makes these appointments and doesn't even make sure that Asurion does their job. Then when you ask for a credit because they keep you waiting all day and don't let you know that they are not coming, they make you wait on the phone all day too. I tried to upgrade two iphones. This store doesn't support business accounts. After being there for 20 minutes they told me they couldn't help me with new iphones because I have a business account. While I was at the back of the store waiting for a rep to help me I could hear all the sales people in the back joking around. Horrible customer service! I give it 2 stars only because Kevin provided assistance in showing me how to use my new Samsung phone. Otherwise it would be a 1-star. I've been a Verizon Wireless customer for a long time and my monthly bill was about $65. I bought a new Samsung phone (and paid in full) to add as a new line to my existing plan. I told the Verizon Wireless employees at the store that I would not want it to affect my current plan and charge, but would like to pay an additional line charge. An employee told me it would cost additional $20 line charge for the Samsung. He changed my plan to 5G but said it was necessary for adding the new phone line and it would not impact my base cost. When I came to the store the next day, I was told the line charge was actually $35 (instead of $20). Lo and behold, my first bill was $147.67 after that, more than doubling my previous monthly bill of $65. I brought my bill to the store. The employees were clueless about the miscellaneous charges. I had to call the main customer service # to get it straightened out. It turns out that by changing my data plan to 5G, they increased my monthly bill. My plan had to be changed back to 2G in order to keep the same monthly cost. My recommendation is to skip this store, because they may tell you things that are untrue and you may only find out when getting the bill. read more

Katherine Campos is exceptional!! Apple made me wait almost 2 hours for an appointment and wanted me To pay $500 for a new phone bc my phone wasn't working properly. As a long time customer, I went to Verizon in the mall and Katherine offered several options of trading in my phone for a new one, even adding an additional phone number. She saved me $500 and was incredibly helpful with the process of transferring information from my old phone to the new one. Highly recommend her!!! read more

So a while ago I contracted Verizon for the office I manage and gave them all the information they asked for (including mine) and Verizon screwed up the whole account so bad, left us with no functional service for a couple of days, it caused us thousands of dollars! my CEO and I decided to closed the acct ASAP, send back all their equipment , took photos and attached them to the cancellation email! Days after verizon gotten their equipment they send me an email and a bill over a thousand dollars, when I called they claim we were missing some of their equipment and started calling me on my personal phone number, work and mailing me directly for charges, when I called they claim the acct was close and no balance was due! I know is a long story and I apologies to you reading it but I want you to know Verizon is not a company to trust and they will try to ruin your credit out of being crooks!!! Verizon is a crooked company!!! I'm very blessed to have a fantastic credit and the report was not going to affected me, since was verizon the only one making claims, I've paid lots of money in properties, my credit is awesome despite verizon trying to mess crap up!! Yesterday, I purchased a phone and line from Verizon online. Verizon sent me confirmation of everything and said I just needed to go to the store to sign and pick up the phone. When I arrived at the Tysons Corner Verizon store, an employee told me that virtual Verizon employees were wrong and they could not honor that agreement. They told me I would have to make the purchase at a rate $25/month higher than my documented agreement from that morning and once the phone was activated, I might seek discounts. They did call customer service on my behalf but it was unproductive. They also cancelled my service with my current carrier so I had no choice but to purchase the phone.  After leaving the store, I spent several hours on the phone with Verizon and eventually found an agent who was able to correct the situation and honor the original agreement--which they said could have been done in store.  Is this incompetence or an intentional scam? read more

I wish I had taken some names but - the woman who greeted me was shockingly friendly (customer service in Tysons is severely lacking). Absolutely the WORST customer service experience, EVERY time. I've only had the service for 5 months and was told I have a reward to redeem when they installed internet and cable. I've tried to redeem said "reward" twice now in the last 5 weeks and just keep getting the run-around. The automated system tells me the "Reward program ended in May of 2019," but I wasn't a customer that year. Why does Verizon send me an email every week reminding me to redeem a reward that they have zero intention of redeeming??? And why keep sending the emails? The online "chat" times out after about 20 minutes of "waiting patiently." If I treated people like this in my industry, I'd have been fired ages ago. Maybe if I stop paying they will find a way to get in touch with me? Do yourself a favor and NEVER use verizon unless you love being treated like a piece of shit. read more

Visited the store twice in the past week with mixed results. This will now be my regular corporate store to visit with issues, concerns and to buy new phones, so my second visit here was far different than the first. First visit -- needed to take three lines off of my plan and transfer them to a new plan. Arrived with others, was helped immediately (this was on a relatively quiet Monday evening). Quickly gave my mobile number and showed my photo ID for verification. Employee pulled up my account and I gave verbal authorization to release the three lines from my account. My significant other opened a brand new account adding those three lines to her account. That was simple and he took care of getting her setup with a proper plan for her needs. After completing that task, he returned to assist me in decreasing my data, and other needs as a single line on a shared data plan. Second visit -- returned the following Sunday to an extremely busy store. My phone was malfunctioning, in fact, couldn't keep the phone up and running. Upon arrival I indicated that I wanted to get my SIM replaced and see if we could get the phone up and running. I got signed in and was told it would be 25 minutes. So I browsed and the 25 minutes passed quickly. Upon speaking with David, the first to arrive, he said do a hard reset and it sounds like a software issue. Not that I was disagreeing, but look at the darn phone first and see what its doing. I said lets replace the SIM and try the hard reset here. He then tried to steer me towards a new phone, which I wasn't opposed to, but instead of trying to fix it, we were going for the large purchase. I told him my preference for a new phone being the Moto Z droid force and his response was the Google Pixel XL was the best phone available. I wasn't opposed, but knew nothing about that phone, nor the ratings and reviews that I like to review in advance. When David could see that I wasn't biting for his phone choice, he shifted me off to Mohamed, mid-visit, which I felt was extremely rude. Didn't even say, I'm handing you off, it just kind of happened. I asked Mohamed of his phone preference and he said the iPhone 7+. Never considered an iPhone, as I'm an Android guy. I asked about the Google Pixel XL, but was told it was out of stock until December. So that became a moot point. Eventually I tabled the idea of purchasing a new phone. I asked Mohamed to replace the SIM and hard reset the phone. We would work on it to make sure it works properly. Last effort would be to buy a new phone. He went ahead and took care of that. We were able to get the phone back up and working properly. Downloaded and installed a few apps to make sure I could do the bare minimum. I would complete the remainder of my tasks at home. I got Mohamed's card and he will be my go-to employee the next time I return. He took care of the problem and got me on my way. I realize he didn't make a sale and the fix and replacement of the SIM was free, but I would return to him in a heartbeat. David isn't on my list of good employee's and that is sad since my go-to store closed and Tyson's got my first shot at new business. We will see how things continue to go when I need to do business there. read more

Good news: you can ask for a different staff member, her name is Farishta, who is excellent. She helped me on the phone when I called to ask specific questions about the Mother's Day promotion, set aside the phones I wanted in the colors I wanted, and then helped me in person when I showed up at the store. Dont trust the older reviews in my opinion. Great problem solving with the solutions manager Nate! I had gone through multiple tech support reps and in-store reps about my Google pixel's charging port melting on me, and after hearing different things from each person over four days and being send a "certified like new" garbage device, Nate helped me get a brand new phone after helping me file an overheating claim on my original device. I can't even express how much if a relief it was to get this settled. I went into the store in a complete rage to the point I couldn't get my words out to leaving very satisfied, relieved and happy knowing I could go back to this store and get any issues handled very well. This will be my new go to store for my wireless inquiries. Store was very clean and the staff was pleasant also. I upgraded service from preferred to extreme. Verizon tacked on a charge of $64.99 for the 'service' of upgrading me. This charge is not mentioned anywhere on their site or in their confirmation email. The site is slow and often unresponsive. Since The Wife's cellphone contract moved to a month to month plan after its two-year anniversary, we decided to move the family to DC strongest cell service provider. Enter the Verizon Wireless store, stage left. The store is huge in comparison with it's competitors in the mall and quickly had my wife's attention as she pecked, beeped, and surfed her way around the phones to see what she wanted. I was more interested in a Blackberry Storm 2 for her to give her the iPhone type of experience, but her, being completely into aesthetics, fell in love with an older model purple Blackberry. Functionality be damned. The reason this place did not get five stars or even four stars was from how overtly pushy the staff were. The gentleman (and I use the term loosely here) working the floor wouldn't go away even though I repeatedly had to say that we were just browsing. When we came back to the front of the store to look at the purple phone, the lady behind the counter actually yelled out, "CAN I HELP YOU?" as if to upstage the floorman. I was appalled at how brazen it was. But, I guess you have to earn your commission through whatever hustle you've got going. We'll go back, but just to get her phone. I'm not sure I can count this as a legitimate business to frequent - I'd rather go through the internet than deal with the staff. read more

Customer service in this location is garbage. Avoid this store at all cost. I walked into this store and an employee in blue jersey blocked my path and asked me if I needed anything. I asked him for Galaxy S7. He said he didn't have one in the store. 4 seconds later I found Galaxy S7 displayed on the table. I looked back at him and he avoided making eye contact with me. And when he asked me if I needed anything, he wasn't genuinely trying to help me. It was more like 'Get out of my store. I don't wanna talk to you.' That was extremely disrespectful. Is that how you treat your customers? Is it because I'm a minority? His actions towards me was awfully discriminatory. And blue Jersey??? What kind of professional attire is that??! Maybe Verizon should enforce more strict business attire so that their employees can act more professionally. I was actually gonna purchase either Note 7 or S7 but this dishonest/disrespectful Verizon employee made me think twice about being a Verizon's customer. All the reviews at this location are pretty harsh. I had a mostly good experience, the only negative thing I have to say is the sales person did seem a bit distracted surfing the Internet and such or only interested if I was going to buy a very expensive item immediately. However, I was able to get a new Sim card which was the original reason I went to the store in the first place. I also saw that they had many brand-new devices that just came out on display and ready for me to experiment with to see if I might be interested in purchasing them later. I was there at about 8PM on Tuesday night. There were 3 employees and 1 customer. When we walked in nobody approached us nor asked what my problem was. The person who looked like a manager did not want to help us even after I told them we need to buy a new phone. They looked like they were annoyed that we were there. I had to ask them questions and one representative said that you didn't tell me what your problem was. We say for about 20 minutes and left. Let's start with if I could give 0 stars I would. My girlfriends phone was stolen today and we went in to make a claim to get a replacement. That was our first mistake thinking that the staff at Verizon would help us. We walked in and told two staffers our story and one guy turned around and handed us a flyer pointed to a number and said nothing. Then those two clowns went back talking about basketball. We then asked for a phone to call the number and we were greeted with a. Look of how dare you ask for a phone to call our main office. After 16 mins on the phone with someone who smoked enough pot to kill a small animal we ended up with having a replacement phone sent to us in two days. Our plan was to go to Verizon and get a phone that day. I guess that was too much to ask. No wonder these 40 something year old men are working as a glorified paper passer at Verizon.
