The worst internet reseller I've encountered. Avoid this service at all costs. There's no oversight regarding the history of prior calls; the people answering the phone barely understand English. The service is terrible, and the technicians often seem under the influence, emitting a strong odor of weed. Tasks that should take 30 minutes stretch to 3 hours. Gigstreem is so terrible that my entire apartment complex of hundreds of tenants have switched to a different provider. Here's what to expect if you go with Gigstreem: - You'll pay for a certain amount of speed, but only ever have about 10% of that. - You'll experience random outages every few days, especially if there is so much as a small drizzle of rain. - When you have these outages, they'll send a generic email that says, word-for-word: "We want to provide you an update on the current outage... We don't have an exact time for resolution." Many times, they don't bother with the pointless email, and they never will send an email when it's back up. You'll just have to try it once in a while to see if it came back on. - Even dealing with their customer service is horrible and unreliable. I had to deal with multiple call drops, often resulting in needing to call back and wait again for another representative. When you finally are able to talk to them, they're nice but extremely unknowledgeable. If you're moving into a place that exclusively uses Gigstreem, I would strongly reconsider moving there unless you don't really use internet. It's that bad. read more

When renewing my lease the leasing office staff informed me that we would now be paying something called "technology rent" which encompasses a forced account with gigstreem, a company I have never even heard of in my life. This was a crushing blow for me as I now had to give up my AT&T plan I had been grandfathered into for years and would now be paying almost double for internet. This is a company that should be investigated, federally, for a number of mistruths dumped o on unsuspecting customers. From poor performance, failure to repair service issues to half hr calls necessary just to remind them that their tech never showed up, on multiple occasions, to repair a PRIVATE HOME with Gig Stream service. Quality is absolutely horrible. Constantly disconnecting. Everything lags I have to go to a Starbucks to do important work. Paying for 200 download/ upload. HORRIBLE! If I could give negative stars I would!!!!!Have had this so called service for nearly 2 months and it's the WORST internet I have ever had!!! Constantly drops, buffers and logout. Dropped me while I was presenting to the VP of my company! I have made several complaints and we just keep going in circles. I bought the most expensive plan and aside from my router dying, this is by far the WORST internet service ever and I have had Verizon and Spectrum in the past! If I could give negative review, I would. Worst service I have ever experienced. My apt complex signed up for this service and I work remotely from home. I have lost MANY hours of work because of connectively issues. Each time I call they say it my computer (it's not bc I can connect to hotspot) and they have told me several times they will send a tech. So far none has arrived. The tech that called to schedule my service call today, hung up on me. If I had a choice to change providers, I would. But I will not pay for two internet providers. Unable to connect to Wi-Fi on multiple devices. First contacted on 08/09/22 and told issue specifically related to my network. Called back each day and told issue is being worked. It is now Sunday and issue has not been resolved and no estimated timeframe as to when I can expect a resolution. Ultimately would never plan to recommend this service to any neighbors. The lack of urgency or ability to provide any sort of alternative shows how undependable this service is. Each time a representative states if they are unable to resolve remotely they will need to send a technician out and that still has not been done. I am never one to write a review but if you work from home or rely solely on Wi-Fi for television etc. I wouldn't recommend this service. read more

The technicians that came to install the receiver and set up internet access were professional and knowledgeable and did an excellent job. I am currently getting 90 Mbps (which is excellent as my plan is only for 60 Mbps) when wired to the router and 20 Mbps wirelessly which can be improved with a better wireless router read more
