We always enjoy the food and vibe here, whether takeout or room service! Dining in is a great experience though, very warm and comforting dining space with great ocean views. Great menu selection, and the kids menu comes with a special Georgie's buck to get a prize after their meal! The appetizers are great, we always enjoy the fondue, and the fried zucchini! The service is wonderful and everyone is so kind. I do recommend making reservations ahead of time. It's well worth checking out if in Newport, especially if you're staying at the Hallmark resort!

This place is amazing. Beautiful views! The staff was very nice. The seafood bowl was probably the best thing I had at the coast on this trip. Full of seafood, egg, potatoes and delicious hollandaise sauce. I highly recommend! Just be aware the address is a little off on yelp. It took us down the street but luckily we saw the sign.

This should be higher because the ambiance is great. But the stuffed chicken breast with cheese and spinach was inedible. And vegetables with the under cooked broccoli and carrots all had to be left unfinished. Only the baked potato was the star. The thin chicken shell didn't taste like fresh moist chicken. My Halibut fish n chips was fine for processed halibut into a matching shape for each, there were 3. Definitely not a filet and didn't smell like anything. No seafood scent like you might get from shrimp. Indistinguishable from cod or halibut or the fish from the Clown House. oh, Remember , the chives for your baked potato is an extra dollar per plate. So in her favor , the waitress did comp the unfinished chicken meal. That was fair. She said it was a popular chicken dish and not wanting it was so hard to understand. Well, That was a big disappointment for us.

For a first time visitor, we had an excellent experience! We came on Wed night about 7:45PM and there was a 20 min wait for a table - so we were fortunate to get two seats at the bar right away. First off, Fort George Hazy IPA's were a great choice to get things rolling! My bride ordered the Herb Salmon Salad ($30) and really enjoyed it! I went with the Newport Black Cod ( $34) and it was an outstanding selection alond side with the veggies and rice! Service from our bartender was fantastic (I wish I had this name....wasn't on the receipt)

I'm going to guess this is a Newport institution. Located in one of the hotels on the water, the restaurant itself has a beautiful view of the beach and ocean. We had the halibut fish and chips and cod sandwich. Both were fine. There was nothing special about this meal. The staff was super friendly and attentive. I think there are a lot of better options in town for seafood. Pretty pricey for an old school restaurant that doesn't offer anything above and beyond. I would not go out of my way to go here again.

Perfect view to get lost in the waves. Service was great and very clean. Food was wonderful! The steak was cooked to perfection and the chicken seasoned wonderfully!

Over Memorial Day weekend I reserved a table in the bar section; ventilation here is much better compared to the main dining room, which was as stuffy as during my previous visit. I enjoyed the burrata appetizer and the ribeye steak. I was blown out of the water by the execution of the burrata dish- this came with the usual tomato slices but also with hot marinara sauce and garlic bread. A strike of genius, it combined so well and was out of this world delicious! The ribeye steak was middle of the road, a bit too thin and lean, not prime, and, dare I say, also not 28-day dry-aged as advertised. Service was fine. The view of the sunset coming through the overcast - moody and priceless, a perfect setting to end a long day with a Manhattan.

After browsing through Yelp and trying to figure out what we wanted for dinner, we happened upon the Diablo seafood pasta and for some reason it stuck with us. So we decided to go here. We got to the restaurant at 5PM and just beat the crowd. We were asked to wait 5 minutes while they set up our table. We got a booth that looked out at the ocean. It was very romantic. The interior of the restaurant was modern and updated and it was very clean. Our waitress came and took our order. We ordered some crab cakes to share. My husband ordered the halibut encrusted with Parmesan and I ordered the Diablo seafood pasta. The crab crakes were filled with crabs in every bite. It was one of the best crab cakes I've had in this area. When my plate of pasta came out, I was so excited to try it and it did not disappoint. The cheesy Diablo taste was on-point and every bite was filled with seafood: crabs, scallops, salmon or shrimps. It was so good! I finished my entire plate. My husband said his plate of halibut was good as well. We couldn't leave without trying the marionberry crisp. It even came with two scoops of vanilla ice cream! It was delectable! We will definitely come back in the near future to try out some of the other dishes on the menu.

Stopped in for lunch and to watch the intense ocean energy the day's storm whipped up! The ocean views from window tables are just perfect! The chili was delicious, Pinot Noir scrumptious, and boxed up the steak diablo with penne to bring home--yummm!!

Staying at the hotel next door and didn't want to go far in the rain. Get a reservation! Even on a rainy Sunday night it was full at 5 pm. They sat us quickly, took our drinks orders order and our waitress was super friendly. We got seated on the side of the restaurant so mostly saw the houses next door. I had the veggie teriyaki bowl and he had a rib eye. Mine was full of crisp cooked veggies in a ginger garlic sauce - so good! His rib-eye was cooked perfectly. Almost cut it with a butter knife. Will definitely come back but get an earlier reservations to snag one of the booths or tables overlooking the ocean.

We drove down the half the Oregon coast this weekend and decided to stay a night in Newport so we could go to the aquarium. I made dinner reservations at Georgie's because the reviews looked solid and the restaurant was on the property of hotel we stayed at (Hallmark). We got a wonderful window table and really had a wonderful meal. Service was 10/10. Our waiter was nice, quick and did the perfect amount of checking in on us but leaving us to enjoy the food, each other and the view. The ambiance is beautiful and the water window treatment was really neat. Like cascading ripples, not sure if it's a little show or to help clear/clean windows. Either way all the guests oooh and ahhhed as it happened and busted out cameras. The food: they start with a nice warm basket of bread and butter.... who doesn't like bread and butter? =) For apps I got the seafood fondue, and my bf got the sliders (with a whole onion ring on it). Both were delicious. The seafood fondue was chefs kiss. I could eat that every day! Chunks of salmon, prawns and dungeness crab, served with bread...it was so good. For mains we had the Diablo Seafood pasta with shrimp, crab meat, salmon and scallops. It was so good and the portion was huge. The other dish was the Parmesan Chicken Penne, it was really delicious and the chicken was cooked perfectly. For drinks I had their Autum Amber Old Fashion, it was really good (had a little cold brew in it) and my bf tried a local cider on tap. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner here and time in Newport. Definitely give this place a try if you're in the area.

Georgie's had good reviews on Yelp and was recommended as a breakfast place. I was disappointed. The restaurant had a corporate feel, which it turns out was accurate - it was associated with the nearby Hallmark Resort Hotel (part of a chain). The servers had corporate style uniforms and name badges, and most of the customers appeared to be guests at the resort. It was busy, but almost exclusively with those hotel guests. And while the servers were helpful and somewhat attentive, you could tell it was just a job - they weren't invested in the restaurant in any way. The breakfast itself was perfectly edible, but mediocre. How can a place screw up bacon and eggs? Well, the scrambled eggs looked fine, but had a bit of that flavor of PAM spray (the kind of veggie oil spray such places use on a grill). The bacon was of middling quality, not bad, but not good. But the home fries really showed the corporate nature of the food -- they were pretty, with onions, bright red, yellow and green peppers, but they had little flavor other than of the oil they were baked or fried in ... and no discernible herbs or spices -- so a visually appealing meal, but just not very good. Georgie's is a step up from a Denny's both in food quality and ambiance, but at prices you'd find in a reasonably good breakfast restaurant. In other words, pricey given the quality and corporate ambiance -- nothing wrong with it, but not worth seeking out either. There are better breakfast options in town - seek them out.

I asked for the eggs lightly over easy, and I asked if I could have fruit, instead of potatoes. She said, no problem. The food comes, and it came with hash browns, instead of fruit. I didn't send the order back, because I needed to get on the road. The hash browns were okay, they were just your generic restaurant hash browns. The toast was a good quality sourdough, and the coffee was also very good. The star of this breakfast, was definitely the razor clams and eggs. The razor clams were just lightly breaded. Just right. They were a little chewier on the end, but hey, that's the foot of the clam. It's to be expected. The main body of the clam, was so tender, and the entire thing was a little bit sweet, a little bit savory, with just a "pop" of brininess. Absolutely amazing. They came with a good tartar sauce, but I didn't need it. It actually took away from the flavor a little bit. The eggs were also perfectly done, with plenty of the "yolk action" for dipping the clams that I love. The price was the higher end, but reasonable for what I got. I would come back just for that breakfast again. Thanks!!!
