Definitely one of my favorite places to eat! I had the Diablo pasta with steak and it was absolutely delicious. The sauce was spicy with a little sweetness to it, and the steak was so tender. They complemented each other perfectly! I also had the clam chowder, which was super creamy and delicious. I really liked that it didn't have an overpowering seafood taste. I completely forgot to take a picture of it because I was too busy eating it I also had a really good drink, but of course I can't remember the name! We sat by the window overlooking the ocean, and the view was beautiful. For dessert, I had the chocolate lava cake. It was really good and not overly sweet, which I loved. Every bite was a delicious burst of flavor--we were seriously amazed by how good everything tasted. The Parmesan sourdough bread that came with our meal was scrumptious--perfectly crunchy on the outside and warm and soft on the inside. We stayed at the Hallmark nearby last year and loved this place so much that we came back again this year! It has definitely become one of our favorite spots for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We just got back from the coast, and had stayed at the adjoining hotel next to Georgies. We had our dog with us, so we had limited options to dine. (first time to Newport). We heard good things about Georgies and since there was room service we decided to try them out. The first night we arrived, we ordered the steamer clams that came with white wine, garlic, and butter, and local raw oysters served with lemon and cocktail sauce. both dishes were good and the oysters tasted so fresh. We also opted for a cup of clam chowder. The chowder was okay, nothing spectacular about it. I did order a drink called the shark bite and it tasted like a boozy milkshake, I loved it! The next morning we ordered breakfast, I ordered the Georgies wrap. A flour tortilla filled with bacon, sausage, onion, peppers, scrambled eggs, and melted Tillamook® Cheddar. The wrap and the potatoes were good. The Bloody Marys were amazing! Another evening we both ordered the Newport black cod fillet. we both agreed it was a good dish. For another breakfast we ordered the Seafood Omelet that came with sautéed shrimp, scallops, peppers, onion, Tillamook® Cheddar, and Hollandaise sauce. we split this breakfast between us because we weren't super hungry, it was the perfect amount for both of us. Excellent view with a beach vibe! Stopped by for lunch and got a window seat, gorgeous views! Clam chowder to start - thick and creamy with clams and potatoes. Add some black pepper to the top for a perfect bite. Oyster crackers have a great crunch. Halibut Fish & Chips - 2 nice sized pieces, a little too much breading for my taste. We had a nice visit back in May 2024. I enjoyed the water view from our table, the clam chowder, and the burrata salad. My husband has several food allergies and was able to get their salmon with rice and veggies. It was very simple but as long as we can get him a full meal we're happy. I think it was a bit more expensive than some other restaurants we visited but we expected that when we walked in (and it is nice to enjoy a view with our meal on occasion, even if the food costs a bit more). read more

Had the flat iron steak, and added the mushrooms and "Diablo sauce" which was only slight spicy. A very nice place to dine. We sat at a window table with a beautiful view. We both had a cup of clam chowder which was delicious. Yes they do used canned clams but it did not matter. The halibut tacos with mango salsa was really good, a bit messy but worth it. Our server was great, very friendly and honest. The restroom was clean. read more

This one was a little bit of a let down. I saw raving reviews on Google and pretty good ones on yelp and as my wife and I were staying at the Hallmark Resort, it was nice to just walk over. I ordered the chicken fried steak and pancakes. Pancakes overall were pretty decent! Fake maple syrup so if you are sensitive to that as I am. Be aware. The chicken fried steak was very disappointing. The beef had a very weird off flavor. I couldn't finish it. The breading was not crispy and the gravy was pretty bland. For such an expensive dish I expected much better. The restaurant does have great views and the service is ok. Friendly enough, but as we left the staff didn't say anything to us like have a good day or bye, which for such a nice place I'd expect something. We probably won't be back. It wasn't a terrible experience, but it was way too expensive for something so disappointing . Also ever since that fried steak I have had serious stomach problems. But the stuffed chicken breast with cheese and spinach was inedible.And vegetables with the under cooked broccoli and carrots all had to be left unfinished. Only the baked potato was the star. Definitely not a filet and didn't smell like anything. No seafood scent like you might get from shrimp. Our waitress was very attentive, I'm going to guess very seasoned in this role, so our service was outstanding. My mother had the Ahi on special. We have been coming to Newport for years and decided to branch out and try something different than our usual Nye Beach stops, and we are so happy we did! Our meal tonight was excellent, start to finish, with attentive but not hovering waitstaff, friendly folks at the check in, and a view of the sunset that was breathtaking. The wine list was extensive but reasonably priced. I had the crab cakes dinner, and they were loaded with crab, no fillers at all, very tasty. My hubs ordered the crusted halibut and it was the winner winner chicken dinner, a generous portion cooked to perfection and so flavorful. We had two different cheesecakes for dessert, and both were delicious. Now we have a new spot to come to when we visit. Blown away by this gem. Huge wait but got a seat at the bar - crazy busy on Sunday night, Labor Day weekend and the view was still amazing - great September sunset. Had a couple of mocktails, great flavors and local blends. Ordered the crab cakes - amazing - huge amount of crab and lightly breaded. Also got the rib steak (cooked blue) with steamed veggies, mashed potatoes, mushrooms, side of shrimp. This restaurant is the only place we will dine while staying at Newport. We love the servers Jose and Karen B. They always go out of their way to make certain our experience is memorable. The food has always been wonderful, with a variety of choices. When we were at Georgie's this October, the menu had changed. I understand this is common practice to remove certain menu items to introduce new options. Georgie's has wonderful steak options, including Prime Rib, but they no longer offer baked potatoes. They do offer garlic cheese mashed potatoes, but every time we ordered this as a side, the potatoes were cold, and the butter would not melt when added to them. They now charge $5.50 for a small sourdough basket, which has decreased in size considerably and had previously been offered for free. As stated above, the best servers are Jose and Karen B. Unfortunately, on one of the days we were at the restaurant, they both had the day off. We had the server by the name of Shawna; she was nice enough, but as she was taking our order, she consistently rubbed her nose and face. After witnessing this, I chose not to eat, but the rest of my party did. A to-go box was requested, and while Shawna was bringing it to our table, her hands were full of dishes, and she carried the open to-go box under her upper arm; both her bare arm and shirt were clearly inside the to-go box. We chose not to bring it up at the time so as not to embarrass her, but her actions caused me to not want to eat anything that evening. Over Memorial Day weekend I reserved a table in the bar section; ventilation here is much better compared to the main dining room, which was as stuffy as during my previous visit. I enjoyed the burrata appetizer and the ribeye steak. I was blown out of the water by the execution of the burrata dish- this came with the usual tomato slices but also with hot marinara sauce and garlic bread. A strike of genius, it combined so well and was out of this world delicious! The ribeye steak was middle of the road, a bit too thin and lean, not prime, and, dare I say, also not 28-day dry-aged as advertised. Service was fine. I didn't try the maple Old Fashioned, but it must have been a big hit, because orders kept coming. Fish and chips & chowder were amazing. My cosmos and the oceanfront view were on point. After browsing through Yelp and trying to figure out what we wanted for dinner, we happened upon the Diablo seafood pasta and for some reason it stuck with us. So we decided to go here. We got to the restaurant at 5PM and just beat the crowd. We were asked to wait 5 minutes while they set up our table. We got a booth that looked out at the ocean. It was very romantic. The interior of the restaurant was modern and updated and it was very clean. Our waitress came and took our order. We ordered some crab cakes to share. My husband ordered the halibut encrusted with Parmesan and I ordered the Diablo seafood pasta. The crab crakes were filled with crabs in every bite. It was one of the best crab cakes I've had in this area. When my plate of pasta came out, I was so excited to try it and it did not disappoint. The cheesy Diablo taste was on-point and every bite was filled with seafood: crabs, scallops, salmon or shrimps. It was so good! I finished my entire plate. My husband said his plate of halibut was good as well. We couldn't leave without trying the marionberry crisp. It even came with two scoops of vanilla ice cream! It was delectable! We drove down the half the Oregon coast this weekend and decided to stay a night in Newport so we could go to the aquarium. Our waiter was nice, quick and did the perfect amount of checking in on us but leaving us to enjoy the food, each other and the view. The ambiance is beautiful and the water window treatment was really neat. Like cascading ripples, not sure if it's a little show or to help clear/clean windows. Either way all the guests oooh and ahhhed as it happened and busted out cameras. The food: they start with a nice warm basket of bread and butter.... who doesn't like bread and butter? =) For apps I got the seafood fondue, and my bf got the sliders (with a whole onion ring on it). Both were delicious. The seafood fondue was chefs kiss. I could eat that every day! Chunks of salmon, prawns and dungeness crab, served with bread...it was so good. For mains we had the Diablo Seafood pasta with shrimp, crab meat, salmon and scallops. It was so good and the portion was huge. The other dish was the Parmesan Chicken Penne, it was really delicious and the chicken was cooked perfectly. For drinks I had their Autum Amber Old Fashion, it was really good (had a little cold brew in it) and my bf tried a local cider on tap. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner here and time in Newport.
