May 2026 Nye Beach, OR Small little café along the streets. Only eight tables in the whole place. Very clean. The table near us ordered breakfast and it looked wonderful. I opted for the grilled cheese with an iced tea. My husband ordered the clam chowder with garlic bread. As I look around at all the tables near me all of the food from the hamburger to the salad looks delicious. The front door is open and the restaurant is warm. Outdoors it's only 54°. Kitchen is in the back of the restaurant, but there is heat radiated throughout the small restaurant. And loud noise of fans. The service was quick and polite. The food was delicious. The restaurant kept busy with people sitting at the tables outside as the lunch tables inside were filled. This is a small and cute place to have lunch. The wait staff was kind. We left our jackets in the restaurant and the waitress came out and found us still sitting in our car and gave us our jackets. Thank you to the staff for going above and beyond. Came here for brunch on President's Day and the food was outstanding! I had the baked French toast with bacon and eggs; the French toast a masterpiece! The wait for this was considerable - half an hour; I even considered bringing this down to 4 stars because slow service is slow service, but it was so delicious I now consider it worth the wait. It's a relatively small space with a few tables and there was a wait for a table when I got there. It was a rainy day in the 40s and the front door was left open, maybe to create some ventilation with the cold coming in.... I see opportunity for an upgrade but would go again to try more food. read more

Great little place nestled in Nye Beach. Luckily, today was unseasonably warm outside, so we chose one of the two picnic tables. Waiter came out right away with menus. Order the shrimp salad and cup of clam chowder. Food came out fast and fresh. Two people could share this salad! It was arranged perfectly on a large plate, with plenty of shrimp and toasted cheese bread. Great salad! The cup of clam chowder was thick, hot, and tasty with visible clam. I enjoy a thicker clam chowder, so it was perfect. Great meal, reasonably priced. I'll definitely be back. Their breakfast menu looks delicious. Perhaps tomorrow.... read more

Stopped by for breakfast and had a nice meal. Located a block from Nye Beach on the Oregon coast this is a cute spot for breakfast and lunch. Spanish themed menu, I went with something NOT Spanish and ordered the baked French toast. Consists of two pieces of bread and they put egg and some nuts on top and BAKE IT. Then it has marrionberries on top and whipped cream. It was good but not great. Will get a Spanish themed item next time. Got a side of bacon and it was over cooked. I made it back again and had a great Sunday lunch. Funny enough, I got the same thing I got last time! Turkey, bacon, and avocado grilled sandwich. It came with a side a chips (mini bag of Kettle chips). My kiddo ordered a cup of chowder (one of her favorite things) and she devoured the whole cup. They helped me out by adding the chowder as an upgrade to my meal so it came out cheaper than ordering is separately. Love a place that helps me save money! Great breakfast! A small eatery that I am sure will be very busy on the weekends. We showed up mid morning on a Thursday in October. We got one of the last tables. This place makes all their breads from scratch as well as their biscuits. Everything on the menu looked amazing and it was hard to decide. I got the John Denver three egg omelette. It was stuffed to the gills with veggies and meat. I didn't care for the hash-browns, I wish I would have gotten the potatoes that came with the hash. My husband got the corned beef hash and that was amazing. The corned beef melted in your mouth. There was a great selection of hot sauces. Coffee comes in cute handmade mugs that are for sale. Small and a bit cramped (some might say cozy) but it's got great homey vibes, and these guys have been slinging fantastic breakfasts and lunches for years. I've been several times in the last couple years and this last visit did not disappoint. My Blythe Breakfast burrito was absolutely delish -- who knew pairing polenta with eggs, beans and avocado would have such a great mouth feel? Hefty, too; it's my new fave. Wifey's breakfast sando (the Jude) was off the hook as well. This place is usually busy for good reason - plus they make their own bread. Friendly service, no attitude, and looks like it's family-run, so all in all a very comfy meal at a local gem. read more

We stopped in for a Saturday midday brunch and were pleasantly surprised. There were only a few other diners when we sat down but the place was packed when we left. The menu is very extensive, my wife ordered the huevos rancheros and I got the spicy tuna melt. We finished everything as it was del. Biscuits are homemade and the jam is real fruit in-house made as well. Hash browns were a bit undercooked, but still edible. Coffee was very good. The cups are made by a local artist. AMBIANCE // Eclectic beach vibes meets boho. They pull it together very well. Spacious with just enough tables. Small ball area that serves alcoholic drinks as well. And a breakfast bar. Nye Beach Cafe was a wonderful surprise for us on our final morning in Newport. The indoor tables were all full, but it was just warm enough to sit outside in the shade, so we opted for that. The service was friendly, and as fast as can be expected for having a busy dining room. I wasn't wanting anything too heavy, so I decided to go with the Breakfast Bowl -- a mix of pinto and black beans, Spanish rice, roasted green chiles; and served with two scrambled eggs, salsa, sour cream, and corn tortillas. It was perfect. The flavors of the beans were totally authentic Mexican, and the tortillas were thick and flavorful. I topped it all with the salsa and some hot sauce, and my taste buds were dancing. The breakfast was definitely filling, but not so much that it prevented me from strolling around Newport. We'll definitely try to hit this spot again, next time we are in the area. read more

Stopped in for breakfast this morning and we are glad we did! This small Mexican-ish cafe was busy but we got seated quickly. We loved the art in the walls and the quirky mugs. Then we got our food. Yum! I ordered Jude's Breakfast sandwich. The homemade bread was delicious and perfectly grilled with scrambled eggs, spinach, cheese and avocados. So good! My husband had the Blythe's Burrito and enjoyed it as well. Our friend ordered a fruit bowl and 2 pancakes. She was very impressed with the fruit bowl which was lovely fresh fruit obviously just cut up, not the over-syruped hard honeydew usually offered in cafes. The pancakes were delicious as well. The food is delicious! We have been here 5 times at least BUT this last visit we waited for food almost an hour and it was not that busy. They had several empty tables. They had a new young girl as a waitress and she didn't check on us one time!!! I had to get up and go find her to ask for coffee twice. Never offered or refilled water once and she sat in the kitchen talking to another older waitress the whole time. It was terrible! We have a toddler who had to wait that long for French toast. Two tables came and left while sat and there were only three of us!!! They never even apologized. The guy who runs it is amazing and he needs to let the other two go and find people who actually check on the tables and do their job. read more

You know when you are craving a very specific breakfast, well I was craving that and Nye Beach Cafe delivered! There was about a 15 minute wait, but it was nice outside so we just people watched on the sidewalk. We were sat inside by the kitchen and ordered our coffee shortly after. They were busy but service was pretty quick, the staff were all super friendly. We ordered the baked French toast and traditional breakfast. We got sides of bacon and their sausage patties and both were so dang delicious! The sausage had a perfect amount of rich flavor/ seasoning and was so tender. The bacon too was cooked and rendered so well. The French toast was amazing, I would recommend it to anyone, it wasn't too sweet and had a nice crunch with the nuts. We first stopped here 18 months ago when the restaurant was changing hands. We were pleasantly surprised when this breakfast spot was implementing an Hispanic twist. TL;DR: reliable food safety. Kitchen looks clean and appliances look new. Yummy homey food. Parking: street-side. May be difficult during peak hours. Atmosphere: small cafe-like setting. Limited seating. Parties larger than 4 will be slightly hard to accommodate if you want to all sit together. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the kitchen and how shiny and new the appliances appeared. Service: wait to be seated, order at the table, you will be watered, check brought to you. Friendly staff. Menu: simple two page menu with good descriptions. Kid Friendliness: Highchairs, crayons, and kids' menu. Kid's get a disposable cup with lid and straw. French Toast: delicious and fluffy. Maple syrup comes in a small dispenser jug. Side Bacon: evenly cooked and not overly crunchy, greasy, or shriveled. Perfection. Side Scrambled Eggs: A bit on the thin side but tasty nonetheless. I wish they were a tad fluffier but they came flatter than a pancake. Not flavored on their town, I recommend drizzling some ketchup on them. read more
