    Fish and chips

Quaint eatery with nice staff. My husband's fish and chips were good. My clam fritters were unfortunately soggy but flavor was there if texture was a little to be desired. Would give it a second go around

Small little cafe serving up diner specials and family faves. The ladies working here seemed very stressed and short staffed. They were experiencing technology issues as well. The food was good but as long as you come here understanding this is not a fast food joint and it takes time to make your meal. Seating is limited so a party larger than 4 may have to wait a bit for a table. I tried the stuffed French toast with Marionberry and sweet cream cheese. It was good and very filling. I barely put a dent in it. Hubby had the crab cake special. He enjoyed it! We would come back again to try a different item and definitely not on a holiday. (Veterans Day holiday)

We stood crowded in the door frame for about six minutes before the lady at the cash register so much as glanced up at us. They had three available tables so she could have made some form of contact with us so we didn't just stand there awkwardly. She could have even mumbled something so much as " give me a sec guys and I'll be right with you" but we were just ignored. It took fifteen minutes for our order to be taken and that includes drinks. We almost left but we drove all the way here for this breakfast. An hour and seventeen minutes later our food was out. I dig in immediately and it was ice cold. My husbands food was also cold. We had to send everything back to be microwaved. Since the food took so long my husband added clam chowder to his order because it was well passed the breakfast time slot. It also came out cold and we had to have it microwaved. The place wasn't busy and I could tell most of the tables were upset by their conversations. The staff was singing so loudly to the 90's radio station that it felt as if I stepped into a karaoke place. After almost 2 hours ( I'm not exaggerating at all) we paid and left. I don't mind waiting for food but the food shouldn't come out stone cold. One meal being cold is fine but every single item that was ordered having to go back is not good. Staff really needs to be filling your drinks or communicating with the guests better. They either stay in the kitchen or are glued to the cash register. You go very long periods of time without seeing a soul move about the tables. It was good but we agreed that we will be skipping it on our next family trip. According to several locals this wasn't a bad day. The service we received is normal. Not everyone has 2 hours to kill for breakfast. If you have younger kids I would skip it. I saw so many parents having to stop their children from getting restless.

Western scramble with home fries in the back and Benedict Benny with hashbrowns in front

Food is delicious and huge. Had a western scramble and Benedict Benny. Portions so big that I'll have at least one more breakfast from the leftovers. Place is small and hopping so expect a wait. Server was by herself and did great.

Service and food here is fantastic - six of us came over for lunch and Elena was happy to serve us at their outside covered seating area even though it was windy and rainy. Kids said the grilled cheese was "S-tier"!, the cinnamon roll is great, tartare source is great.

We had a great experience here. The staff were friendly and help navigate the menu for staff pics and the specials explained well. Good seating arrangements and fast service. The food is home cooking like I like for breakfast. This is the meal of the day I like to feel like I made it in my kitchen without the mess. Portions are shareable for sure. Problem is finding just one you want to try.

Honestly wasn't a huge fan of this breakfast spot, even as others were raving about it while we were there. Maybe I just didn't enjoy my meal, but I was not impressed. I got the eggs Benedict special (I think it's called an Arnold Benedict?) because I LOVE eggs Benedict, but I did not enjoy this rendition of it. My husband got the famous stuffed French toast and it was sweet and tasty but I'm more of a savory breakfast person. Service was slow for a Tuesday morning to the point that I couldn't get a refill on my coffee. It's very homey on the inside and you feel like you're at grandmas, but that also means limited seating.

Absolute gem of a cafe. Blackened salmon salad was an absolute surprise how good it was. Also the burgers are some of the best in Newport.

It's pretty small inside and definitely has an antique shop feel. There's lots of different styles and things around. There are a few small tables scattered throughout. The lady at the front was very kind and happy to walk us through their options. They have one small case that's mostly savory and one small case that's sweets with a tiny truffle case on the counter. I think the move here is the cinnamon roll, but when we arrived they were still baking, which meant it smelled delightful, but were weren't able to try one. We ended up trying the breakfast muffin, which was really unique. It's a muffin with cheese and spinach baked in, along with an entire strip of bacon just under the surface, and an entire egg baked in the middle. It was good, but I'm not sure I would order it again. I'm not usually a scone fan, I prefer a muffin, but their scones looked good. We tried the blueberry lemon and the cranberry orange. They were both really flavorful with a good texture, not super dry. The blueberry edged out the cranberry for me because the blueberries were fresh, whereas the cranberry were dried. This is a cute small shop, clearly making everything from scratch with passion. I'd stop back in for a cinnamon roll for sure!

We lucked out and arrived right as the largest table in the tiny place was finishing up so we got a table that comfortably fit the six of us. The waiter was super nice and helpful, especially since we started out saying we needed three checks. I ended up getting something I used to get years ago and was thrilled to see that they still had: pan-fried Yaquina Bay oysters and eggs, along with the homemade biscuit. Love that they have homemade bread and bread their own oysters and fish. I was worried that this place wouldn't be as good as it was when I used to go there 12 years ago with the new owners but it was as good as ever. Everyone enjoyed their meals and the waiter was super kind and funny. Love to see this place still thriving.

People who came without a reservation were told that there's about an hour wait or they could sit at the bar level on the first floor. There's also a second bar on the second floor where the main dining room is up a flight of stairs. Service was great and we were lucky enough to sit by the window overlooking the sea lions, the water, and the Yaquina Bay Bridge. Food wise, it was mostly 5 star. I'll start with the thing that wasn't, and that was the deviled eggs (you get 3) with a lightly fried shrimp. The shrimp was overcooked, lukewarm, and didn't really add anything. But other than that, everything else was really good. The highlight was the Umpqua oysters on the half shell. We went through a dozen and a half. The oysters are sweeter, no briny. They're not huge but not tiny either like Kusshi oysters. It came with 3 different sauces. Another highlight was the whole dungenous crab...so fresh. Poke salad, garlic brussel sprouts, Yellowtail Hamachi, and Lingcod were also pretty good. If I'm ever in the area, I would definitely return.
