If you're from the Portland metro area and visit the coast, this is a nice place to try out. The portions were generous. The pancake order comes with four, and they are BIG. The potatoes were cooked with onion, which gives them a nice taste. The bacon also had a great texture; usually, when you try new diners, the bacon tends to be more squishy. If you're not a fan of that, then this bacon is for you!The biggest surprise was their sourdough toast. It had a crunchy crust, a fluffy inside, and great taste--you can definitely tell it's made from scratch every day! Overall, the staff was great. One thing to keep in mind is that there isn't much room; I'd say it holds about 40 to 50 people. Most dishes are around the $15-$20 mark, but for the generous portions and great taste, Hilltop Cafe Bistro is a 9.1/10!
