If you are looking for an authentic experience that feels like a warm hug, this is it. I've tried a…read morelot of pho, but the Brisket Pho here is the absolute standout--it's perfectly balanced and the broth has a deep, soulful flavor that reminds me of my cousins family's cooking. It brings back the best childhood memories. What sets this place apart is the vibe. The owners have created something truly special; the lighting is well-lit yet moody, creating a space that feels high-quality but completely unpretentious. Between the atmosphere and the experienced, welcoming staff, it's one of the few places I can walk into and immediately feel relaxed. The prices are right, the food is incredible, and the people behind the counter deserve the world. As Albany continues to grow, I truly hope the community continues to discover and support this spot. They are a local treasure.

Ba's is a nice space, with exposed brick and character, and professional staff. We found the food…read morequality solid but uneven. I had the bún (rice noodles) with grilled chicken and charred prawns. The first bite was good: prawns were excellent, lightly cooked, moist with a smoky sweet char. The second bite included nicely herbed noodles with fresh, good quality lettuce, mint and cilantro. The third bite, and majority of the dish unfortunately, contained overcooked, chewy chicken. The fish sauce mixture lacked birds eye chili, acid and seasoning. Dry chicken dominated, but ironically components that require more delicate treatment were prepared well. The fried spring rolls (cha gio) were greasy, missing that blistered, bubbly skin.. My companion ordered a strawberry matcha and the vegetarian bún: nice and herby and green, but lacking that good flavor (chili, acid) in the Nước Chấm fish sauce. It shouldn't be solely up to sriracha to get a dish to the right flavors. In all, a nice spot aesthetically and friendly staff but while dishes had super fresh veg and some solid proteins, other proteins were overcooked and our dishes were missed some of the flavors we love to see in Vietnamese food.

I went here for breakfast with a friend yesterday and it was fantastic! We sat down immediately and…read moreour waitress came over a minute later. She brought us the menus and some water. We took our time with the menu as there were so many delicious-looking options. We ended up splitting two dishes so we could both have some variety. We did the French toast with a berry compote and ricotta topping and the veggie omelette with hash browns and toast. Every single thing was so good! The eggs were cooked well, the hash browns were crispy, and the French toast was perfectly made. The ricotta and berry compote was also fantastic. We were absolutely stuffed and could not be happier. The bill was also much lower than we expected, so the food is pretty affordable compared to other diners in town. I think they moved into this space recently as I remember another restaurant being here before. That restaurant was much more territorial with their parking spots and had signs everywhere telling people not to park there if they weren't customers, but those signs are gone now which is nice. Everyone here was super friendly and lovely. I love the mission of this restaurant and will definitely be back to continue supporting them in the future!

This was our third visit, and unfortunately every single time our order has been wrong. We tried to…read moregive this place multiple chances because the food itself has potential, but today was the final straw. My eggs were undercooked, and a very simple request, just adding cheese and salsa to scrambled eggs, still wasn't done correctly. The dish honestly came out inedible. What's most frustrating is the lack of communication and consistency. I really wanted to love and recommend this place, but after three disappointing experiences, I'd rather pay more somewhere else and actually receive what I ordered with decent service. To make matters worse, both my husband and I have had stomach issues all day after eating here. Very disappointing experience overall.
