Morels is a food truck in Newport with a wide range of dishes. I ordered fish and chips, while my friends got pasta meals. The food was prepared quickly, and we got to enjoy our meals on picnic tables, conveniently located next to the food truck. We were all impressed by not only the quality of the food, but also the size of the portions, particularly considering the low cost of the meals. If I find myself in Newport again, I'd be sure to stop by Morels!

Morels has been our favorite little food truck on the coast since we first had their food at the farmers market. In all the years since we started visiting Newport, we had never found such good food. Everything has a homemade feeling that is sure to leave you content and comforted. The tamales are my absolute. Service is extremely speedy and friendly. The woman who works there recognized me today from a year ago. The ambiance is laidback, a little table under a tent so you can choose to stay a while or take food home. Spread the word on this place, they deserve all the big crowds.

Fish Tacos - Three fish tacos with battered and fried fish fillets topped with guacamole, diced tomatoes, and shredded cabbage, garnished with cilantro and lime wedges. The tacos are served in a black plastic takeout container with a small cup of salsa on the side. The presentation includes fresh ingredients and typical Mexican-style toppings.

10/10! The BEST tacos and amazing Ceviche! Cant wait to go back and try more menu items! The guy running it was super nice and efficient! Food came out with 10 minutes and the presentation was beautiful!

Shrimp, gnocchi, broccoli and carrots in a unique pesto sauce.

I ate at this food truck while passing through town on vacation. I found it on Yelp. Get the shrimp and gnocchi. Worth $22 all day. (It's their most expensive item on the menu.) You will not be disappointed. One of the best meals I've had in a while. Incredible unique pesto sauce. Gnocchi texture was heaven. Shrimp was good. I ate every bite. Overall 10/10 dish. I had the pupusa too. Also delish! $7 and a large portion. The hot sauce on the side with the pupusa was a little hot for my personal taste but overall was delish. I hope this place sticks around for many years to come. I'll be back! The food is great quality. If you like supporting small local businesses, your money will be well spent here! Friendly service too. They brought our food to our car when it was done.

I got the rockfish tacos, and my husband got the fish n chips. some of the best tacos i've ever had in my life. they were absolutely loaded up and super flavorful. my husband loved the fish n chips as well. the people were nice and they made the food quickly

Seafood pasta. - Close-up image of seafood pasta with broccoli, chicken, and a creamy sauce, served at Morels restaurant in Newport, Oregon. The dish includes pasta, broccoli florets, and pieces of chicken, coated in a rich, orange-colored sauce. The ingredients are visible with a focus on the textures and colors of the food, highlighting the creamy consistency and fresh vegetables.

Amazing and flavorful food. My wife and I got the pasta mixta, seafood pasta and fish ceviche which were all flavorful and plentiful. Service was friendly and fast for a one man operation when we were there. We'll definitely be back for more dishes.

Very sad to drive 25 minutes here only to discover the Yelp hours are wrong. They are closed on Sundays

It's really tough to rate this. It was great and then not so good. So here goes…read more To begin with Oscar's looks like a full service restaurant. It isn't. It has seats inside but yet you order at the counter, find your own seat and wait for the counter person to yell at what you ordered to go pick it up. Then, of course, the tab asks how much you want to tip. Well, NO. Inside is clean, a little run down but appeared clean. Everything else appeared pretty worn out. Not the food .... we both ordered taco salads and we were definitely pleased with the taco salads. They were very good. Next we cleaned up our table, dumped items in the trash and stored the tray. The big question is would we go back. Yes. We would because the taco salads were very good,

( for reference, we love Mexicali Express, Taco del Sol, Don Pedro, and La Parilla Kitchen on the west side of PDX). This was not a great experience. We got two chicken quesadillas with a side of guac and a diet pepsi and I spent $30 including tip. The woman in the window was very nice, the tortilla part of the quesadilla was pretty properly grilled on the outside at least,( although there were some pieces of random meat and veg stuck to the outside of both tortillas), and the red and green hot sauces were good, those are the high points. My diet Pepsi's syrup to carbonated water ratio was off, the guacamole was gloopily weirdly nasty, and the shredded chicken in the quesadilla was stringy and wet. Mediocre. Oh, and the orange cheese inside the quesadilla was strange! Also we expected something to come with the quesadilla for $9.99 -a blob of sour cream, tomato slices with shredded lettuce, a handful of chips, or smidge of rice and beans maybe but that is not the case. My spoiled child, 22, threw most of their meal out. Plus out went the weird slimy guac and my soda. I ate most of my quesadilla but it was just sad, man. We will be either quesadilla-ing at home or hitting a taco truck next time. Try something else but probably skip the chicken.

Great views of the historic Yaquina bay while seated on 1 of 2 levels. My wife and I love it all! Nate 2026 Newport, Oregon…read more Came here based on recommendations from somebody in Bend, Oregon, and a local. I will start by saying I was not impressed. We had a reservation and they took us in a few minutes early and sat us upstairs. We sat near the window that overlooks the harbor and could see it from our table. Very pretty. There is a bar area and other tables that are away from the window that don't have the same view. When we were approached by the waitress, she informed us that they were out of Dungeness crab. Our reservation was at 6:15 PM. Seems a bit odd that a town known for Dungeness crab and the restaurant doesn't have it during peak dinner hours. My husband ordered a cup of clam chowder, and I ordered a cup of the Dungeness crab soup. I loved the creaminess of my soup. However, it was not served hot. Also, there were so many shells in my soup that every bite I had to remove one from my mouth. I do believe that the roux sauce had too much flour and was not mixed well. The clam chowder was not creamy, but had a good flavor. Chunks of carrot and celery. Both soups were served with a portion of bread. The bread was good. We shared the salmon dish. We asked our waitress if we could have the peas on the side as my husband has an allergy to peas. She was quick to tell me that there would be no substitutions. I informed her I was merely asking for the peas to put on a separate dish when brought to the table. She said that she would need to clear it with the kitchen first. Apparently, they approved, as the peas were served on the side. We did enjoy the salmon. It is cooked, medium rare. However, the middle of the salmon fillet was more rare. The buttery sauce was delicious and the asparagus was cooked very well. The mushrooms were delicious. The restaurant is very casual. The outside is not much to look at. The service was fine, but not exceptional. The food was good, but my expectations were so much higher for all of the accolades I had heard prior to dining. They add an automatic tip of 20% to every tab. Then on the bill, they politely ask for an additional gratuity. See the picture of the reason for their 20% gratuity on each bill in the photos that I have attached. I would give this restaurant four stars. It is a B rating for what should be an A restaurant.
