We had a small run in with an allergy issue as I didn't realize the chicken and waffles came with bacon (i missed that part on the menu, totally my fault), but the staff was willing to re make it with NO hesitation and even gave me an extra piece of chicken! I liked my food very much afterwards. My boyfriend had the fish and chips with rosemary fries, that dish was also incredible. Lightly salted, tasted fresh, perfectly cooked and the fries? amazing. Their clam chowder was delicious! Thick and passed the spoon standing test. Lots of clam chunks and seasoned well. Their rockfish battered fried fish and rosemary fries were equally as delicious. We took a day trip to one of our favorite coastal citys, Lincoln City. We were on our way to J's for some chowder and fried fish and they were closed, we had not been in town for at least 2 years, we were looking for another spot, we ran into some great looking review from Squatchsami so we decided to drive a few mins south to try it, go glad that we did. They have an ample outdoor parking lot with access to handicap parking spots, so no need to look around for street parking. As you enter the building form the main road you are greeted by a friendly group of staff, the staff seem like family members. Nice touch. Everyone was very accommodating and friendly. They two large restrooms toward the back of the building. The interior has a rustic vibe to it. As far as seating you have long family style tables, a few two person tables ands some very creative seating arrangements, I enjoyed the two tall back chairs with a tiny table that faced the main room, also in the back room they have ample seating for more privacy for larger family groups. First come first serve on the indoor seating, if you like they also have ample benches around the outside of the building. One other great touch throughout the building you will find Sasquatch like decor. The menu and food, lots to choose from, to long to list but we focused on the halibut-3pc with a side, ( the halibut pieces are large) we chose the Rosemary fries (a must try), the were amazing and the halibut, Wow it was amazing, the crust or batter was not greasy, great tasting and not dense, it was a perfect blend. Just a tip, if you would like sliced lemons please ask, they are not served with your food. We also shared a bowl of chowder, the chowder was also a treat, it was loaded with veggies and protein, great tasting. I think we might have found our new rest stop. read more

I was last here when they were a food truck at Salishan back in January 2025. I commented back then that they had the best clam chowder on the Oregon coast. Visiting them this week and I am glad to say - THEY STILL HAVE IT!! New location, same amazing food. I will say this... Have come twice this week - once I had the chowder in a bread bowl. My new recommendation (and you will want to try this), get a cup of chowder and eat it using their rosemary fries. Grab a couple of fries together and use it as a spoon for each bite. OMG!! We came for the clam chowder, and it absolutely lived up to the hype--it was excellent. Also, everyone in our group of 4 commented about how outstanding the fish was. It was fresh, perfectly cooked, and some of the best we've had in recent memory. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made us feel well taken care of throughout the meal. Our only feedback has nothing to do with the food, the service or the experience: the merchandise was really cool and would love to rock it in SoCal because I love a Sasquatch-themed spot, but we'd love to see more options in XXL for us bigger guys. The fish was fresh, delicious, and lightly breaded to perfection, with a really great tartar sauce. And those rosemary fries... OMG. To die for! I had the chicken strips, and honestly, I may have been ruined for any other chicken strips for life. They were SO flavorful and tender. And I have to give another special shout-out to the coleslaw -- just perfect. Not too much of anything, just the right balance. I got on Google and typed "the best fish and chips in Lincoln City" and it said this place was the best. I feel like that is an exaggeration. The lingcod fish was a tad overly greasy, and almost too overcooked in the outside, but it was fine. I did not completely dislike the meal. Although I do wish they offered halibut. The rosemary fries were pretty good. And we also got their clam chowder, which was also good. The staff is friendly, the restaurant is clean. The prices are actually pretty reasonable. We would come back for the clam chowder and fries. But we will probably try another spot for fried fish next time. It was just a smidge disappointing. I would actually give this place 3.5 stars if that was an option, but it's not, so I rounded up to 4 Also, restaurants need to stop blasting terrible 90s pop music. During our trip to the coast, my boyfriend had planned to make a pitstop here to get some fish n' chips (what they were known for based on reviews) and it did not disappoint! We got their chicken t'sami and their lingcod fish n' chips, which went well with their sweet tea that we ordered. My boyfriend got the huckleberry sweet tea which had a sour and sweetness to it, and I got a regular sweet tea which had this really floral fragrance to it and the sweetness was just right. The fish n' chips were really good, the batter around the fish was golden and crispy, the fish was flaky and soft. So good that my boyfriend ate it while it was piping hot! The fries were perfect and crispy. The owner was so nice and brought out an aioli that tasted so good with the fries (reminded me of the animal sauce from In N' Out). Stopped in here for dinner with my mom on the weekend and we both got the halibut fish and chips, she got regular fries but I HAD to try the rosemary fries and I was NOT disappointed! The fries were crispy and flavorful on another level and the fish was perfectly cooked in a crispy golden batter. The tartar sauce is on the sweeter side but paired so well with the fish and + lemon! Saw this truck rated as a 5 star place with almost 200 reviews and immediately had to try it. They have some of the freshest, flakiest, hand caught halibut we've ever had and we will definitely be stopping here when we're near Salishan! There are restrooms right behind it, plenty of walking space and bags for walking your dog, and has ample parking. For the meal, I opted for the slaw in addition to the halibut sandwich and it was a citrusy palate-cleanser from the sweet fish. The pickled onions were perfect on a fish sandwich, I never thought of adding them before!
